Seaside Farm is a 30 acre, magical, park like farm on the shores of Kachemak Bay, just outside of Homer, a few miles down from the Kilcher Homestead where I grew up in the 1940's! . Now a song bird sanctuary, with trails, lawns, gardens, trees, hay fields, and a private beach, cabins, a clover camping meadow, Seaside was once part of an original Alaska pioneer homestead.
It is also the home of hundreds of songbirds, moose, coyotes, wild hares, flocks of sandhill cranes, two sweet Morgan Horses, an assortment of chickens and visitors seeking peace, nature, wildlife, pristine beaches, in a real Alaska, non touristy setting.
This property has three different types accommodations: Rustic, cozy cabins, a big field for tent campers, and a few spaces reserved for 4 wheel drive vans, and small vehicle camping, including rooftop tents
If you prefer camping away from the tourist crowds, you will find our soft clover meadows and well kept lawns, a deluxe and memorable experience. The beach is a short walk down the trail, where its peaceful and private, with only the sound of the seagulls and waves. Van campers have a few special areas to park their vehicles, with views of the glaciers and mountains. There is limited parking and turnaround space, and we like our farm not too crowded, to provide a special rural experience to all who visit. It helps to call or text before you arrive to make sure we are on site and can help you with parking!
There are three cabins sprinkled throughout the property. Two are off grid, close to the beach, private and magical, with wood stoves. All cabins are able to use the main farm lodge amenities, just a few minutes walk away but have their own outhouses, all with amazing views!
You can walk on the beach from the main lodge parking area, there is a covered camping pavilion available to all guests, a communal campfire spot and bbq grill, lovely maintained walking trails and meadows, and even wifi!
We allow most dogs, but ask you to contact us before booking with us, so we can let you know our rules before you travel. All dogs must be well behaved, social, on leashes and at owner's side at all times to protect our trusting wildlife from accidental harm, like our baby pheasants, moose, bunnies, and songbird nests!

A few things that make my place unique:
My 5 acres is part of the famous 620-acre Kilcher Homestead, as seen on “Alaska the Last Frontier” TV show. I am the 7th of the 8 children; Atz and Otto are my brothers. There is a special feeling here vibrating in the land, and why our parents picked this spot. Full outdoor kitchen with all you need to cook and wash up; BBQ, hotplate, pure drinking water, spices, pots/pans/dishes etc. The atmosphere feels so pure, so silent, so wild yet comfortable. Drive-in access sometimes, or have to walk 15 minutes, and no issues with mosquitoes!!! You get to meet me and maybe other family members as you cruise around. Homer is 35 minutes away, with oodles of things to do there: great restaurants, a lap pool, fun shopping, etc. We have quite good cell reception here. Lots of options to enjoy your stay!

The cabin includes a kitchen area, a full size murphy bed that looks out over Cook Inlet and Mt Reboubt, and a sweet one burner Jotul wood stove for heat and cooking. The cabin comes with enough firewood for a two-night stay.
Wake up and have French press coffee in bed looking at the eagles fly by, riding the thermals. This is the dream romantic getaway! Hear only the surf crashing, and birds!!
There is a porta potty located between two outbuildings near the cabin.
Please park in front of the Bluff Cabin.
Guests will enjoy the grassy bluff and the built-in fire pit, the gazebo and the granite table for cooking and washing. There is a charcoal barbeque available for guests, bring your own charcoal.
The cabin is dry and non-electric. There is no wifi, but has cellular connectivity. The cabin will be supplied with 8 gallons of potable water, but guests can always bring extra, or refill water at the Kasilof Mercantile just 7 miles away. They also have groceries! The closest gas station is also 7 miles away in Kasilof.
Clam Gulch Beach Access is just 4 miles away, with miles and miles of beach to walk!
Ninilchik is 14 miles down the road where guests can find the Old Ninilchik Beach Access, or the Deep Creek Beach Access, and also the Three Bears Grocery Story and Roscoe's Pizza.

Twin Rivers Wilderness is a 520-acre private wilderness area, uniquely situated as a private inholding within the Fritz Creek/Anchor River Critical Habitat Area. It offers an exceptionally private and remote wilderness experience despite being only 8 miles, as the crow flies, from downtown Homer—about a 30-minute drive along a beautiful scenic route. AWD or four-wheel drive is recommended, especially during rainy conditions, as access requires traveling 3.3 miles on a dirt road. No RVs, please.
We have miles of trails, including both maintained and game trails, that wind through extensive moose habitat. Wildlife commonly seen on the property includes moose, bears, lynx, porcupines, birds, and many other species.
The communal areas are still under development as of June 2026, and some construction activity is taking place near the basecamp yurt and several of the unique clear polycarbonate domes. As a result, we are currently welcoming adventurous travelers who enjoy rustic camping experiences and do not require luxury accommodations. While our infrastructure is still limited, we do provide water, power, and Wi-Fi near our runway hangar camping area, which is suitable for tent and car camping.
The property is located on the toe of a ridge above the confluence of the Anchor River and Twitter Creek. Beyond the rivers, we are surrounded by thousands of acres of pristine, undeveloped public wilderness. Enjoy spectacular views of the volcanoes across Cook Inlet to the west and the Kenai Mountains across Kachemak Bay to the south. Our nearest neighbors are miles away. The landscape includes wetlands, meadows, forests, steep valleys, streams, and creeks.
In addition to our extensive trail network, we offer guided hikes, guided e-bike tours, and unique packrafting day trips on the Anchor River. At our sister property, located nearby, we also offer ATV tours of the surrounding countryside.

I love the big space for parking, setting up a volleyball net, and the tents for a big family of 14. It was quiet and surrounded with nature. No neighbors, it is a little out of town but worth it if you have a small party that doesn’t want all of the racket from dip betters going until all hours of the night. It was a nice quiet spot with lots of room for our kids to run around. They loved watching the loons and fishing on the lake. The kayak on site was a plus in taking our kids out on the lake. We had a travel trailer and truck. I was glad to see they left a lot of room to maneuver around to park in the perfect spot next to the lake. We would highly recommend coming here and can’t wait to do it again.

I visited Soldatna during peak tourist/fishing times and no campsites available. This spot is a hidden gem, close enough to town and you have complete privacy and know that you have a place to stay instead of looking for a campsite.
I plan on returning and will book this again for peace of mind when I visit.

Comfortable sights with plenty of room. Loons, cranes, ducks and owls calling. A true disconnect and they include firewood! Idk if it gets any better than that! 💕 It was a wonderful weekend stay and will definitely stay again.

The site was wonderful and friendly. Terry the host was super nice and helpful with any needs we had, he helped me set up my smoked salmon in their smokehouse and showed me how to use it. Great location for South Kenai beach. Overall great experience! We will be returning for sure!

What a hidden gem! From the host being kind and accommodating to hot showers and a clean space it was more than we could ask for. If you want to experience Alaska and its beauty at its finest, including loving locals this is the place. Will be back again and again!

Perfect spot for larger RV’s or fifth wheels. Easy to pull in and out, plenty of extra parking. Great location to get to beach or back to town if something was forgotten. We had a wonderful time staying there.

Camp spot was nice and we had some trees around us. The fish cleaning station is amazing...tables...tubs...hose...sink and knives.
Staff also was super cool about getting our fish vacuum sealed even when it was late.
Def will stay here again for our next fishing trip on the Kenai.
