Learn more about this land: This Clam Gulch 5.5 acre property offers Bluff tent camping in two locations: Campsite 1 The Meadows, a very large meadow overlooking Cook Inlet and Campsite 3 The Sweet Spot, a secluded meadow with an unbelieveable view of Cook Inlet and Mount Redoubt . Wake up and watch the surf roll in from 200' up. The only thing you will hear is birds and surf. The Site 1 The Meadows, is a very large meadow which is kept mowed. It is accessed by foot on a loop trail from the parking area (the Moose Trail) or from parking near the Pink Shed. It is close to the outdoor table and gazebo allowed for guest use. This site can accomodate three tents. Site 3 The Sweet Spot is the newest campsite. It is also accessed by the Moose Trail, and has an unbelievable view of Cook Inlet and Mount Redoubt. Have coffee and watch the sun rise. It is about 100 yards from the parking area Trails to the meadows are maintained and marked. Campers may use the gazebo, picnic table, swing, charcoal barbecue, and the granite table located on the Bluff near the Owner's cabin, next to the gazebo. Vehicles must park in designated campsite parking areas, and campers take the short walk to Site 1 or Site 3 camping meadows. There is a Porta-Potty Near the Bluff Cabin. There is also a first aid kit. Campers please bring your own water. We recommend 8 gallons for two days. Closest potable free water for refills is Rocky's in Kasilof. Volcano and ocean views to die for! This is approximately 3.5 hours from Anchorage. Clam Gulch Beach is 4 miles, Deep Creek Beach and Ninilchik Beach is 14 miles. Anchor Point and Homer are less than an hour's drive.

This is a beautiful place to camp and Serena is a great host. We stayed in site 2. You can park right in front of the site and it has plenty of space and a nice trail to the bluff. The property is great, full of beautiful views of the ocean and volcanos and great art. We would stay here again.

Serena has an incredible spot for sunset views and birding. We saw 2 youth eagles soaring from the lookout spot with mt redoubt in the background. Absolutely stunning! Her dog, Pretzel, is also precious. Highly recommend!

Serena’s space was magical! The sweet spot is truly named that for a reason. We had a lovely stay, met Serena and her pup and enjoyed the magnificent views while cooking dinner over the fire. I will absolutely be coming back!

We loved staying here! The Sweet Spot had amazing views and was a short little hike from the parking spot. We got a little lost when we got there and Anthony took the time to show us around the site.

Incredible host they were friendly and gave great tour of the place when you arrive. Beautiful view whichever spot you choose to camp. Stayed up to watch sunset and wasn’t disappointed. Sleeping felt nice and safe too. Plus the wind picking up hearing the trees was incredible.

Everything about our stay was magical. The only complaint I might attempt to voice would be directed at myself for arriving so late and therefore having less time to spend at this amazing property. However even that would be an insincere, hollow complaint. Things happen for reasons of course! Arriving in the dark with the girls snoring blissfully unaware in the back seat, necessitated a solo-trek in the near dark in search of The Sweet Spot. Its hard to explain how a midnight exercise of deliberate tip-toeing through the trees on friendly, unpretentious, trails under the moonlight was so satisfying. How being continuously & hopelessly "lost" when in-between glimpses of hand painted signs that seemed to indicate the way to every camp but mine, didnt frustrate or vex. In fact, the symphony of crashing waves acting as a playful, mocking compass, just happened to be exactly what I needed to get outside of my own head. Somehow I circled around, couldnt find the way I'd come and then ended up exactly where I was supposed to be. From there a 2nd trail took me straight back to my truck to fetch the girls. How could I have missed it before? The campsite in the daylight was even more beautiful then I expected. Nothing disappointed and I left feeling more then refreshed.

Such a lovely place! I loved everything about it. Unfortunately we arrived late, had to head out pretty early and it rained but it’s a beautiful beautiful place. Definitely want to come back some other time. Loved all the cute little affirmations around the campsites. Lovely place.

Peaceful and restorative!

Serena’s space is absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in site 3 - overlooking the volcano and the bay. We stayed up until the summer sun set in front of the fire pit with the occasional eagle flying overhead. It was very peaceful! Serena was incredibly helpful and responds quickly to messages. The outhouse was super clean and well-kept/stocked. We would absolutely recommend this as a peaceful stopover between busier towns on the peninsula (it’s also only 40 mins from Homer!) Try the Thai restrictions in town!

We absolutely loved this campsite. There were lots of nice touches and hands down the cleanest outhouse I’ve ever been in. The view was incredible & if you’re lucky enough for the clouds to clear and you can see the volcano, you’ll be blown away. The gazebo, seating and tables were really helpful when cooking and just staying out of the rain. Serena made a recommendation for our family to Kayak and that was the highlight of our entire week long trip in Alaska. I can’t say enough good things about our experience.

This is a BEAUTIFUL place to camp. It is obvious how much the host cares about her guests and loves this property. Truly a place to get away from it all and get back to nature. Both my 6 year old and I were amazed at the views. A great place for a beautiful get away and for those who travel lightly.
