We are a high desert location so not many natural trees and greens right where we are however with each season we have planted more trees and created more green space. 80 acres with gorgeous views of Elk Mountain, the Snowy Range, Laramie Peak, the Shirley Range, and Como Bluff. A perfect place to get away from it all. You will very likely not see another human, but you will see plenty of antelope and maybe some coyotes, swift foxes, badgers, and jackrabbits. Pictures don't do it justice but it's a beautiful place to enjoy the sky, the horizon, and watching the weather change and roll in throughout the day. Bring shade for the day and warm clothes for the night! Watch out for rattlesnakes!!

Elevation is 9428 ft, and there’s the medicine bow river within walking distance for fishing. The road leading up is very rough but if it wasn’t there would be too many people. We really enjoyed camping on Tasha’s land. The location is perfect- anywhere from a block and a half from almost anything you need. The land itself is simple- an empty lot in a small neighborhood by the hot springs. We appreciated the detail of the lights around camp, the well, and especially the picnic table- all we really needed for our RTT camp night. Like I said, though, the spot is in a neighborhood and also in a prime spot in town, so traffic levels are high at all hours. Expect some noise and light— we had ear plugs and eye masks so no problems here, but good to know. Also, nearest bathrooms are at the hobo hot springs about a block and a half away, so recommend your own portable potty for any urgent cases where you can’t hold it for the walk ;) nice stay for our night- thanks, Cowboy Zen!!

This property is absolutely breathtaking. The setting high in the mountains is stunning, and the views alone made the trip memorable. We enjoyed kayaking, saw a moose during our stay, and loved exploring the property. The owner's woodworking and creative touches throughout the site are unique and add a lot of character. Communication was excellent, and the hosts were very kind and responsive.
That said, future guests should know this is a very remote mountain property. The drive up is much more challenging than we expected and requires a vehicle with good clearance; four-wheel drive is strongly recommended. The road conditions and travel time to the property are important to consider when planning your stay.
We were the very first guests to stay here, so some growing pains were expected. Several amenities listed in the description were unavailable or not operational during our visit, and a few areas appeared to still be a work in progress.
The vision for this place is absolutely there. With some updates, maintenance, and a few refinements to better align the listing with the guest experience, I think this could become a truly special destination. We are grateful for the opportunity to experience such a beautiful piece of Wyoming.

This campsite was perfect for us! We were on our way to Mt Rushmore and needed a wide-open place for the dogs to run around. There was some cactus scattered about, but that was not a deterrent. The site was great!
The directions were good. We were able to find it easily in the dark when we arrived. Fortunately the dirt roads were dry and easy to navigate with our RV. However, if the roads were muddy, it may have been a little harder to get there.

Thanks for the great visit to your land! Our dogs loved running around free to explore. They learned quickly to avoid the cactus that are here and there. We loved the isolation, wide open space, and views. The cows were charming company from afar. We had great weather but I can see how it could get slippery if it rains. Beautiful land & visit!

Neat spot for a cross country trip! I love big private land sites like this and the instructions provided by the owner made it easy to find even in the dark. The weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get to explore and the road did degrade a tiny bit by the time we left the next morning, but it’s an awesome spot!

They grade the gravel very often, i stayed 1 night on the way up to Montana and 1 night on the way back. Both spots were almost perfectly level. Sure makes things nice when ur just quickly stopping for the night.

This is such a great place to camp when traveling on I-80 through Rawlins.
I have stayed here several times and every time I have been very happy with my visit. The staff are friendly and helpful, the bathrooms and showers are clean and cutely decorated. I know I will stay here again when I come through the area.

Wonderful place and especially good if you want quiet, open space, excellent star gazing, wonderful views. We were traveling on our way to Oregon so couldn’t really get a chance to stay and enjoy as much as I would have wanted (ie walk the trails,etc). Lots of antelope around. Very safe. Also recommended as a place for travelers to stay going along I80.

This is a great place to camp when traveling cross country on I-80. The campground is well taken care of and feels very safe. The facilities such as the bathrooms, showers, laundry building, and office are clean and are decorated in a fun way. I have stayed here more than once and will do so again when I am in Rawlins.

Absolutely beautiful. I came in at night and the early morning fog covered the view of elk mountain so I didn’t get to see that but a bunch of wildlife was out there. I saw a bunch of deer or antelope I couldn’t tell and heard a pack of coyotes. It was very easy to find with directions from the owners. Also very private. Would definitely come back again

Easy to get to, just off the I-80 but too close; the sounds semi truck traffic were distant and not bothersome.
Check-in and as quick and easy. The campground office is well stocked with items and interesting beverages.
The bathrooms and showers were very clean and nicely decorated.
I would definitely stay here again as I travel cross country on the I-80.
