We were coming in late in the day and late in the season and Western was extremely quick with response time and helping us pick a site. We only stayed over night but the grounds were well kept and the bathrooms and showers were clean and well kept as well.

I arrived after dark so it was helpful to have messaged Andy earlier to know exactly where to park my vehicle for sleeping. In the morning, I saw the nice view of the farm land around me on the rolling hills. There is farm equipment and storage sheds, and other buildings around the various campsites. I saw RV’s spread out, and other lodging accommodations on the land. A farm store was near the entrance of the driveway.

Western Woods is a lovely private campground with quite a few amenities. There’s a pool, horseshoe pits, volleyball net, basketball, etc. there are quite a few permanent campers there, but still plenty of spaces for regular campers. Just know that the pull through lots do not have any shade. Everybody was friendly and helpful. I can definitely see us visiting there again sometime. Not to mention that it is very convenient for visiting the Wisconsin Dells.

Sweet little spot on the cornfield with electric and water! Unfortunately we were just passing through the area and decided to book a site for a night kind of last minute. It was right off the 90, super easy to get to, and right down the road from an extremely clean truck stop! We wish we could’ve had more time to explore the trails and stock up at the farm store!

Although Hipcamp let us book for an electrical site, Andy messaged us right away explaining his electric sites were already booked but let us park in the lawn. Wish I didn’t have to pay for electric considering that, but it was a nice spot to run our generator and pick up eggs from Andy’s farm store.

Clothes Dryers. I camp a lot in Indiana state parks and never really realized how important clothes dryers were while tenting in the rain. (This feature isn’t prominent in Indiana state parks). This small important feature was nice.
The amenities were super clean with modern shower amenities. Everyone was very friendly and as a single woman, I felt safe. It is a gated community and the seasonal campers seemed to know who was who and helped me to feel safe and secure. My son and I will definitely be back for more. Thanks for a wonderful private secluded stay away from the masses.

We loved our two night stay at Western Woods! Our tent site 211 had decent shade and easy walk to very clean showers/restrooms/nice pool/laundry/playground. Staff was kind and the 4th of July parade was really sweet. Our 4yo had a blast. The store is well stocked with basic needs and fun items as well. They really took care of us when we missed our ferry and were delayed to arrive by a day. Friendly community with a mix of long term (seasonal residents) and short term campers. Great for families. Short drive to all the intense and bizarre and fun attractions in Wisconsin Dell ;)
