The Cabin in a 16x16 one room lofted 6 feet from ground with 2 decks just next to the path to the woods and entrance. It has a queen size bed, large flat screen, wifi, hot pot, mini fridge, outdoor grill and microwave with various kitchen utensils. There is no running water in the cabin but there is a dry sink and Bukee. A shower is just a short walk away at the main cabin with all the instant hot water that could be asked for. We have plenty of extras to share if you need something, if not a Dollar General is just a mile away. Please be aware there are poisonous plants and various wildlife that roam freely. No animal hunting allowed. We love pets and have adopted ours which roam freely. We’re sorry we can’t accommodate yours for that reason… we can recommend local accommodations for your fur babies.

The famous 'Driftless Books' is also found in Viroqua, along with live music on Court Street every other Saturday. Music in the Parks also offers live music in the area on Wednesdays throughout the summer. We are 22 miles from the Kickapoo Valley Reserve, and a bit further North, from Ontario WI, one may embark by canoe or kayak, through some of the most stunning landscape to be found in Wisconsin. This area is called The Driftless because it lacks glacial drift, which refers to the deposits of silt, gravel and rock that glaciers would have left behind had they passed through this part of Southwestern Wisconsin. The area is unique in that the land here was never flattened by the ice that came through most of the Midwest during the last glacial period/ice age. When glaciers were in surrounding areas, the melt-water sometimes made its way into the Driftless Area and contributed to the formation of the valleys and bluffs which characterize the landscape, which is known for steep hills, forested ridges, deeply carved river valleys, and karst geology with caves and spring-fed cold water trout streams. Ecologically, the Driftless Area's flora and fauna are more closely related to those of the Great Lakes region and New England than those of the broader Midwest and central Plains regions.

I'm located between Wisconsin Dells and Lyndon Station on a cozy little 3-acre corner lot at the intersection of Highway 12 and Oak Glen Circle. The property is mostly wooded with beautiful white oak trees that I've done my best to preserve. Each year, I welcome nesting bluebirds, robins, and ruby-throated hummingbirds. You'll also find several bird feeders that attract a wide variety of songbirds, along with squirrels, rabbits, and woodchucks that call the property home. Please note: I do have neighboring homes nearby, but it's a very quiet neighborhood of homeowners with no noisy renters. Please also note that as the host, I do live on property. I offer you your privacy but on occasion you may see me outside doing random chores on property. Please also note I have 2 dogs. They are very friendly animals and it's very possible at some point during your stay they may introduce themselves to you. Thankyou for understanding. Nearby Attractions Wisconsin Dells – Just 3 miles away, offering endless attractions, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. The rustic cabin sits on a beautiful ridge. You will have a great view of the sky. Birds and wildlife watching along with listening to them. The property is a second farm that has been in my family's history since the 1960's. We are a working crop, horses and beef cattle farm. We raise crops on this property. We have a main farm down the road that if you would like to visit, we can try setting that up so you can see the animals if you would like. Please note that this is a one room cabin with a queen bed. There is a porta potty outside. The cabin does not have running water or electricity, but an extension cord can be brought and plugged into the outdoor electric outlet. The cord can be ran into the cabin to use the fan, lamp, infrared heater and electric skillet. In the colder months there is an installed lp heater to use. There is a water hydrant outside for bathing or boiling. The water is non potable. We have direct access to the property for ATV/UTV's for the public road use on the back roads. You can travel from town to town and sight see. The property is between two towns and is close to places to see and things to do, driftless area history, wineries, caves, hiking, canoeing, fishing, sightseeing, river, streams and more.

Quiet private cabin a great place to get away from it all. Located in the Driftless hills of Readstown, Wi. Surrounded by woods & Hay Field. AWD car is recommended for our Hill Road leading to our PRIVATE cabin. Complete with a compost toilet & electric. Water to enjoy a Shower powered by an Electric Water Heater. Our cabin has an outdoor sink, as seen in pictures. NO drinking water Provided. Our water is not Potable. Please bring your drinking water. DVD player only This is definitely more like “Glamping” than “Camping”! So much to do surrounding the cabin. Head over to Crazy Franks Flea market or take a short 10 minute drive to a bigger city Viroqua and enjoy their farmers market & cute boutiques. Near fly fishing, reeds creek & the Kickapoo. Bike the Kickapoo Valley Reserve one of our favorite activities! Lots of activities to do in the Driftless and just a short drive from the cabin. Hike the the Kickapoo valley Reserve, take a drive over to Wildcat State Park, check out the Winery’s, brewery, Amish stores & Sunrise Apple Orchard near by or simply take in the sounds of nature surrounding you. Bring your yard games & roasting sticks.

Weekend Trip to Echo Valley Farm

When you enter onto the property, it’s immediately apparent that this is the place. Dena was a wonderfully pleasant host along with Shay and Lauren. The cabin was quaint, clean, and cozy. The property far surpassed my expectations. Being greeted by a flock of wayward sheep every morning over coffee????? Come on now! This is a place for you to come and connect with yourself, each other and Pacha Mama. RUNNING back to this place as soon as possible. The feelings we shared here have enlivened us and are still carrying over into our week now. THANK YOU ECHO VALLEY FARM FAMILY <3

This is the most peaceful place to unplug, unwind and just watch the day go by. Needing a break from my tourist town, found this gem about an hour away and now have my go-to decompress getaway! Cabin is exactly as described and town is just a quick 5 minute drive if you need anything. Thank you Dena & crew for a much needed down weekend!

we loved Rivers Edge cabin! it was a perfect rustic stay with great amenities. River was a great host and communicator. the property was beautiful and in a great location for checking out all the cool spots.

3 nights at Dell Pines Campground

I thought Dell Pines was a beautiful campground. The campground was not normally my style with all the rvs stuffed together. I’m a tent camper and like private spots. I felt cabin J offered that fairly well since it faced the woods. There are cabins behind cabin j but this cabin feels more secluded than most. There is a walking trail nearby in which one can see people hiking, but there were few. I enjoyed that I could hop on trail so nearby. The cabin was clean and cute. No cooktop though so bring your own. Also recommend bring your own air mattress to place on top of the mattresses provided. Yes I would stay again. The front check in office was very friendly.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Karla’s cabin. It exceeded our expectations. The property was beautiful and the cabin was very clean and comfortable. Karla (River) greeted us and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay here again.

I love staying at Elysium View Farm. It truly is heavenly. It was very hot when I visited but Christine was so kind and even loaned me a battery powered sprayer and a bucket so myself and my dogs could rinse off. There's beautiful views of all directions. Bonus: Christine even let me pick a bouquet of her gorgeous flowers. I just can't get enough of this place!

Christine met us upon arrival with a friendly welcome and showed us around the lovely place. Without any a.c., we stayed nice and cool at night with fans she provided. The sink and the microwave gave us all we needed to prepare quick dishes so that we didn't have to eat out every meal. The farmhouse provided us with a really nice amount of space that was very pleasant and comfortable. Outside, we enjoyed beautiful sunrises (one with an all-pink rainbow!) and making a fire in the firepit to watch the sunsets and moonrises. It was fun to be near the turkeys and cows. We also appreciated the cultural experience of being in Amish Country. The location was great for kayaking and exploring and Christine's info that she had on hand was very helpful. We really appreciate being able to bring our cat, who loved the layout and all the windows to sit by.

What an incredibly special place. From Deb's hospitality to the animals to the serene setting, there is so much to be enjoyed at the little slice of heaven. While the accommodations may be a tad rustic, they're clean, comfortable, and cozy. Just make sure you pack your own kitchen kit and bring wood. The area offers so much for an outdoor enthusiast, or you can relax and listen to nature! I'd recommend exploring their trails, especially at sunset. And the proverbial cherry on top? Their on-site bakery scones. Absolutely delicious! I will be adding Echo Valley to my yearly travel schedule.

Weekend Trip to Echo Valley Farm

Dena was very nice and the property was just as described. Nice, cozy cabin with plenty of blankets for the cool evenings (there was also a heater if we had needed it). We were traveling on our motorcycle and she was sure that we had a decent place to park the bike. The driveway is sloped, but had a couple of flat portions we could use easily. We got to meet the sheep, cats and chickens - And although the rooster crowed in the morning - it was really a peaceful stay. Would stay again!

2 nights at Pink River Ranch in the Driftless

We enjoyed our stay at Brittany’s spot. We were in the airstream , which had all we needed— fridge, kettle for boiling water, a couple coffee makers, comfortable sleeping arrangements, clean restroom on the side of their house, accessible from outside, and especially, peace and quiet! The animals - sheep, goats, poultry, dogs - are very present but we never heard them except during the day (which helped a light sleeper like myself) and it was delightful to stay on a working farm that was so clean and cute . Communicating with Brittany was fast and easy, and directions were perfect. We felt welcome and we would recommend it to anyone who would like to be near Wisconsin cheese country and the very interesting artist/artisan hub of Mineral Point.

This was the perfect place for me after a very intense several months at work. I scheduled a couple of days away to spend time in the country. Being able to see calves when I stepped outside was charming, and the accommodations made me feel safe and comfortable. My first night, I sat on the patio and looked at the stars, and while rain prevented me from getting in all the hiking I wanted, it was a good opportunity to read and rest.
