Outdoor lovers will enjoy the magnificent Northwoods that our property has to offer. Our private property has an elevation of approximately  907’ft, adjacent to what was formerly known as Mount Le Bett ski hill. Our land has been family owned for 50 years. Our wooded acres property with trails for hiking, horseback riding and you can bring your ATV/UTV to hit the Oconto trails. Our place its perfect place to relax and connect with nature.  Find Morels mushrooms, pick blueberries, peaches and apples...when in season.

You are welcome to try mountain  biking.

With access to Mc Donald creek you  can also enjoy some trout fishing. We are located 5 minutes from Kelly Lake, and Ross Lake. 

Spend the day in the woods relaxing, take your boat or kayaks to a near by lake.  Cookout, hangout enjoy our woods.

 Our property offers a variety of activities. We welcome horses (with recent coggings) ATV and UTVs will be able to access the county ATV and UTV trails.  (ATV and UTVs will be allowed to run in/out to the trails from our property. Not ridding on our trails

 We asked that our guest are considerate of our family and other campers.

With a lot of ground you can choose from rolling your tent, hammock, RV or stay at our primitive tiny home. 

All fires will be contained and in designated area only. We follow Oconto County DNR fire guidelines.

Sorry- this is not a group site.  Our back-in site capacity is for 1 camper/RV,  2 vehicles (car/truck) plus 1 trailer for guests hauling (boat/atv/utv...) Old Red Mill Oasis

This unique riverside retreat is located on the shores of the Plover River, on a dam remnant behind a former working mill.  Campers will enjoy a park-like atmosphere with numerous  benches, stone fire pits, and hidden trails among riverside, grassy, and forested areas.  It's an ideal location to fish, kayak, or enjoy a 20-minute float from the dam to the Sharonwood bridge. The campground host offers guided kayak tours and/or shuttle services along the Big Plover River for an additional fee. 

The Old Red Mill Oasis is located on County Highway Y, 1.5 miles north of Jordan County Park and Jordan Pond, within 5 miles of the city of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, which offers numerous recreational opportunities.  (See additional information section.) 

Site 1 – River Edge Site

The River Edge site is a cleared area along the Plover River which includes a cracked granite fire pit, concrete bench, and nearby picnic table.  It is an ideal site for tent camping. 

Site 2 – Woodland Fern Site

The Woodland Fern site is a large shady site among mature trees ideal for tent or hammock camping.  The site includes two cleared areas and a portable fire pit. There are lovely benches along the river and hammock chairs nearby.  

Site 3 – Boardwalk Trail Site

The wooded Boardwalk Trail opens to secluded grassy site ideal for tent or hammock camping.  A stone fire pit is included.

Guests may enjoy tubing on the Plover River or just floating around near the dam.  

Koeller Century Farm

The farm has been in the family for four generations.
 We don't have any livestock anymore and rent the fields to the neighbors but the home, outbuildings and five acres are well-loved and used as our home base and also for rustic weddings, graduation parties, reunions and barn dances.
In 1974, the farm was used as the location for the TV movie "Things in Their Season" starring Patricia O'Neal.
We put up one of the first barn quilts in the county and are on the route of the Bike the Barn Quilts bike ride (held last Saturday in September.)

Pitch your tent or roll your RV up to&nbsp;a beautiful farmstead (we no longer have&nbsp;animals, crops only).&nbsp; We are a rustic wedding / event venue located mid-way&nbsp;on the Mountain Bay Trail, Wisconsin's longest rail-trail which runs about 90 miles&nbsp;from Weston to Green Bay.&nbsp; &nbsp;Fire pit available.&nbsp;&nbsp;Views of farmland all around.&nbsp; Quiet and peaceful but not secluded.&nbsp; &nbsp;(See pictures on Facebook Country Events at the Koeller Century Farm.)&nbsp;You can move tent into the machine shed (wood chip floor)&nbsp;during severe weather.&nbsp; There are electrical outlets to use to re-charge devices.

Whispering Woods


Located in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest is four acres of beautiful woods with three different clearings perfect for your up north retreat! Whether it’s hitting the Atv/Utv trails, fishing, hiking, swimming, or just absorbing the peace Whispering Woods brings you access to it all! 

Located on a dead end road near Maiden Lake, Whispering Woods is private and secluded. Whispering Woods has a beautiful crystal clear creek flowing through it that leads to a private no motor lake. 

Enjoy fishing for panfish right off the pier or use the paddle boat provided to meander down the creek and catch rock bass. 

The lake is known for panfish, bass, walleye, and northern. 

The crystal clear water in both the lake and the creek make for beautiful paddling as you watch the fish swim right underneath you and observe the turtles. 

Please be respectful of the nesting loon platforms and other lake owners. Please do not use their floating rafts. 

Enjoy the numerous surrounding lakes such as Chute Pond, Maiden Lake, Boot Lake, Townsend Flowage and more! 

Bagley Rapids is minutes away. 

Located near Townsend, Mountain and Lakewood which provide multiple dining options, bait shops, gas stations, and more. 

Please be respectful of this land. Please do not tamper with the campers or shed. 

Please feel free to use any wood you find already down in the woods or take from the numerous stick piles found near the campsites. Please do not use the cut firewood. The wood in the stick piles has been stacked for your use and is good dry wood that will provide you with hot fires. We do not even use the cut wood in the summer, spring, or fall. 

My young children and I have worked hard to clear those sites and cut wood for our own personal use in the winter so please respect the effort we have put in so we can continue to enjoy our land and share this beautiful location with others. 

There is no electric or water so please plan your trip accordingly. Please leave no trace and carry out what you bring in. 

There are no toilets available so you will need to provide your own portable toilet. Peeing on a tree is fine, but no pooping in holes. 

If you chose to drive down to the campsite by the creek you are doing so at your own risk as vehicles have gotten stuck trying to get back up especially after a rain fall and had to get towed out. It is recommended you park up on top and walk the short distance down. ATV/UTV are fine going down to the creek campsite. 

The long driveway has plenty of room for multiple vehicles, trailers, and boats. 

Absolutely no hunting or shooting of guns  is allowed on the property. 

Bears have been seen on the property so please use bear safe camping practices. 

If your children use the ninja line or hammocks on site they do so at their own risk and we are not held liable for any injuries that may occur. You may notice a zip line. The seat will be removed and is not to be tampered with or used. 

Quiet time is between 10pm-6am. No illegal activity (including fireworks) are allowed. 

You may see us up there but we will respect your privacy and space. We welcome company and conversation but also respect you may prefer to be left alone.

The Hoegger Hideaway

2 acre property on the edge of the Chequamegon Nicolet National Forest with a mini aframe and a historic aframe barn soon to be renovated! Property is perfect for your tent, hammock, camper van or RV (boondocking).  You will have the entire property to yourself.

Welcome to our peaceful 2-acre retreat, where you can park your camper and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Our 50ft graveled parking area and circular driveway provides easy access for parking. Electric hookups are available for up to two campers at a time (30 amp). Additionally, water is available upon request, ensuring your comfort during your stay.

While there are no trees on the property, you'll enjoy the open grassy terrain and the tranquil atmosphere it provides. Keep an eye out for wildlife passing through the nearby marshy area, adding to the natural charm of the surroundings. Across from the parking area, you'll have a picturesque view of our horse pasture, offering a peaceful vista to enjoy during your stay.

For those traveling with horses, we offer limited trails around our farm fields for you to explore. Whether you're on foot or horseback, you'll find plenty of opportunities to appreciate the beauty of the countryside. Additionally, a fire pit is available for your use, with firewood available for purchase, providing the perfect setting for cozy evenings under the stars.

We ask that all camper’s take with them what they bring onto the property. There are garbage and recycling cans just before the bend you may use. We ask that you provide your own either portable camp toilet or use the restroom in an RV if you bring one. Water can be provided upon request.

🌲 Woodsy Acres – Camp, Relax, Explore

Welcome to Woodsy Acres, a peaceful slice of the Northwoods located about 10 miles west of Crivitz, Wisconsin. We offer three private campsites tucked under a mix of oak, maple, and pine trees — each with direct access to local ATV/UTV trails, a fire pit, water hookup, and space to unwind.

Each site is suitable for self-contained RVs, travel trailers (up to 24 ft), campervans, or small motorhomes. You’ll find easy pull-through (site 3) or back-in (sites 1 & 2) access, and we provide a bit of starter firewood to get you going. Just bring your own camp chairs, keep your food and garbage secure in the provided metal trash cans (we’re in bear country!) and enjoy the peaceful forest setting.

We’re not always on-site, but self check-in is easy and we’re just a message or phone call away if you need anything.

🚿 No sewer or power hookups (yet!) — but a public dump station is available nearby at Twin Bridge Park for $20.

Spur of the Moment Ranch

Spur of the Moment Resort provides a unique experience as it resides on the Nicolet Recreational Trail at the Southern End of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Booking a campsite, rustic camping cabin, or log cabin gives you direct access to the trails and a recreational wonderland. The Nicolet Trail is a 90 mile long trail that connects ATV's and UTV's to all of our trails in Oconto County, Marinette County, Forest County, Florence County, Langlade County, and the upper peninsula of Michigan. Snowmobiles can find trails beyond that to other portions of northern Wisconsin. Horse back riders and carriage drivers can use the Nicolet Trail to access many wilderness areas that are none motorized for riding and driving pleasure. In the winter, guests can also enjoy cross country skiing and snow shoeing through the forest. The resort is within 8 miles of two cross country ski courses. Oconto County has 58 lakes and 38 streams that host fisherman, swimming, and boating, and kayaking.

Cooking equipment

Sometimes it snows ALOT.  Come prepared.  Too much to shovel!  A shovel and Otter sled will be left under the picnic table for easy transport of gear from the road.

Esker Ridge

A hidden gem nestled between the comforts of lake living and a backdoor to the expansive Nicolet National Forest.&nbsp; Recreational opportunities are year-round, including recreational vehicle and fishing opportunities on and around the 417 acre lake flowage.&nbsp; The private +2 acre property has panoramic views of the secluded headwaters opening into the main&nbsp;flowage.&nbsp; Set back off the&nbsp;main lake, wildlife viewing, especially birding, is the best I have experienced.&nbsp;Neotropical migratory bird species are abundant in the Spring&nbsp;as well as a resident breeding pair of Trumpeter Swans, many ducks(!), Bald Eagles, Loons, Sand-Hill cranes; many woodpecker spp. including Pileated;&nbsp;Screech, Barred and Great horned owls.&nbsp; Some of the more entertaining wildlife include deer, otter, beaver, muskrats, red squirrels and the occasional wandering black bear (no problem bears).&nbsp; In the Spring, the esker's neighboring wetlands come alive with many frog and turtle species.&nbsp;&nbsp;For me, the allure of the wild still dominates here.&nbsp; The esker provides an amazing vantage point with nearly 270 degree panoramic views of the flowage.&nbsp;From the Gazebo, take one of two paths to the overlook&nbsp;before descending down to the lakefront.&nbsp; In 2021, I plan on adding a short pier but the natural rocky peninsula already provides excellent access&nbsp;into the deeper thalweg, an excellent fishing/ swimming hole!&nbsp;&nbsp;All pontoon and fishing boats can be accommodated here.&nbsp;Learn more about this land:The property is located towards the end of a Forest Service road (Meadowlark Lane)&nbsp;with one year-round resident at the end. There's a large turn-around for trailers and larger vehicles. Neighbors are well separated, located over the ridgeline and out of earshot. The property has a relatively wide, flat 100 foot driveway to the cabin from the road. Easy access to the cabin from the driveway. The cabin is surrounded by mature maple/birch/balsam/hemlock forest and several wetland/tamarack bogs (very diverse terrain bordering the lake). At the base of the cabin there's a small pier for&nbsp;direct&nbsp;kayak and canoe access.&nbsp; Larger boats can easily dock on the lake-end of the property, a short walk from the cabin.&nbsp;From the natural driveway a concrete paver staircase leads up to the main campsite (see pics).&nbsp; The campsite includes&nbsp;a 3 season 14 foot enclosed gazebo with electricity.&nbsp; Essentially, the land is a 2 acre esker (kettle moraine feature) that serpentines through the woods to Reservoir "Pond" lake system. Excellent views&nbsp;of the&nbsp;lake!&nbsp;The Flowage has headwaters from McCauslin brook and connects 3 lakes totaling 417 acres.&nbsp; Maximum depth 27 feet.&nbsp;&nbsp;Fishing and Pontoon boat&nbsp;docking on shoreline. The closest boat launch is on Horn Lake which is passed on the way to the cabin and approximately a half mile away as the crow flies. Plenty of areas&nbsp;for tenting/ wall tents, 2 picnic tables (one near the cabin and the other by the gazebo), and a separate outhouse with toiletries at the top of the hill.&nbsp;Attractions in the Area:&nbsp;&nbsp;Sleepy Hollow Minature Golf on Nicolet Rd (just East of Horn Lake)&nbsp;Sunset Resort of Townsend located on the SE end of the flowage.&nbsp; Accessible by boat or short drive from camp on Burnt Dam Road.&nbsp;&nbsp;Hill Crest Lodge Supper Club on Nicolet Rd (you'll pass on the way in) 4 Stars.&nbsp; Birch Hills Resort and Bar (over the bridge from Hill Crest) 5 Stars.&nbsp;&nbsp;Mike's Supermarket/ Pintsch's TrueValue (just thought I'd mention where to get provisions)&nbsp;(also on Nicolet Rd), TownsendPotawatomi Casino, CarterOld Town Hall cafe and bloody bar- Traditional American food, Townsend (Excellent Breakfast!)Sweet Memories Candy Store, Lakewood (If you have a sweet tooth, this place is over the top Willy Wonka style, many candy filled rooms that seem to never end!)Lakewood Ski and Sport- Outdoor Gear, Lakewood.&nbsp; Talk to Dave- great guy.
