5 acres on river near DOOR county
It's easy to see why everyone loves this campsite so much. Watching the sunrise over the water and seeing the full moon over a campfire in such a beautiful and secluded place is unparalleled. All night you could hear fish jumping and I even saw a mink for the first time ever. My dogs ran and swam and played while I cooked food, laid in the hammock and relaxed. Craig was a wonderful host. I would recommend bringing an umbrella because there are only a few shaded areas and it was especially nice to have on the hammock - but I used it while walking around the site to protect from the sun. There were some flies so plan for that. Mosquitoes were about what you'd expect; nothing a citronella candle and some Off couldn't handle. Absolutely no problems with ticks. The kayaks were too tippy for me but at least the water wasn't too dirty. The site couldn't not be in a better location about 30 minutes from Sturgeon Bay or 45 minutes from Peninsula State Park. There were tons of parks, trails and little shops all over to check out. I can't wait to come back!

Quiet River Camping!
Craig’s land was one of the best Hipcamps we’ve ever stayed on! So quiet, peaceful and beautiful. He thought of everything. So nice to have access to a toilet, fire pit, kayaks and fishing boat and even a badminton net and rackets. He had sweet seating areas set up to enjoy breakfast and the shade to block the sun was great too. It was very well maintained amidst pretty wildflowers and a great view of the river. Craig was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Fantastic trip
We loved this spot and had a wonderful long weekend. Craig was a fantastic host and very responsive to questions. There ability to get out on the river with all of the boating options was a plus and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. He provided a row boat, a pedal boat, two kayaks and a canoe. Even caught a northern pike from the dock. Nice quiet area and the dogs enjoyed running free. We’ll definitely be back.
