Adjacent to Buckhorn State Park which is 6,990-acre Wisconsin state park southeast of Necedah. The park occupies a peninsula on Castle Rock Lake, a reservoir formed at the confluence of the Wisconsin and Yellow Rivers. Almost 5 acres of mixed oak-pine woods with sandy, fertile soil. Learn more about this land: The best secluded rustic camping with sky-scraping pines, amazing wildlife, and abundant plant life including wild raspberries on almost 5 acres. The whippoorwills sing at night. Nature's beauty at its finest. A short walk to the lake (.5 mile away) or bring your own boat or paddle boards and cruise out on Castle Rock Lake from a public launch nearby. Cute beach at Buckhorn Boat Landing for picnic and swimming. Bring your own camper, tent, etc. Great fishing nearby. RV hookup and plug-in electricity are available. Please PACK OUT anything you bring with you.  Fines will be assessed for trash left. Fireworks are not allowed. Be Careful
To start, the host was extremely nice and responsive. The site was unfortunately trashed and we were unable to stay. We ended up having to get a hotel under such stress. If the site was clean, it was a nice exclusive spot that we wouldn’t have minded. Fair warning if you do stay, it’s incredibly buggy.

Great secluded and quiet site. The mosquitoes were pretty bad - but Susie warned us ahead of time and we’ve had similar experiences with the mosquitos when we stayed at Castle Rock State Park. We did t get an opportunity to venture off the campsite on the property due to weather and other plans offsite.

Lots of trees and privacy
This was a great little camping spot. Far enough from the interstate to not have the traffic noise, and close enough to be convenient for a place to spend the night. Good large fire pit. Lots of trees, and privacy. Would definitely stay there again.

Susie has a nice spot about 10min from Necedah. It's tucked back away from the road which is great and they have a small shed with extra chairs and a few other items to borrow. Overall enjoyed our stay and would book it again!
