Weekend Trip to Olde Tyme Cabins
The location was perfect! We felt secluded in our little camp and were able to hike up the hillside nearby. We loved the campfire with the lights strung around, and there were roasting sticks in one of the RV cubbies. The hot tub was amazing. We did get rained out of the hot tub, since there is no awning over it, but once the rain stopped, we were able to enjoy again. The master bed was comfortable, and the bunk beds have a curtain to keep lights out for later sleepers. We camped in mid-November and stayed warm and cozy the whole time. Our only complaint was the water. It never quite worked well enough to shower, and washing dishes was frustrating. We did let our hosts know, and they came quickly to work on it, which helped for a short while, but didn't last the duration.

Julie was such a kind and accommodating host. If you love animals, you’ll love this farm. Wide open spaces, a giant fire pit, very low light pollution at night for amazing stargazing. The bathroom with toilet and deep wash basin connected to the barn brought so much convenience and comfort. I just can’t express how welcoming and friendly Julie and her husband Shannon were to me. 10/10, I plan on coming back!

We had a wonderful stay! Claire was super responsive and helpful leading up to the trip and with her directions the site was easy to find and setup! The space is lovely with beautiful open views of the night sky available and enough trees for shady spots throughout the day. We’re already talking about going back again sometime!

This was our second time staying at the farm, and it could not be better. The site was well cared for with no evidence of previous guests. We were able to set up my micro camper and a hammock without difficulty. The host came by and wished us well. Overall, an excellent experience

Great spot near the Cheat River. We stayed at one of the primitive sites with our dog. In the mornings, we'd walk directly to the river for a cold bath and some dog splashing then go on long walks at the end of the day up and down the very rural country road along the Cheat (experienced no traffic on a 2 hour walk other than a four-wheeler). The port-o-potty was the cleanest I've ever been in (and I've been in a lot...), and there was even some air freshener provided. The campsites are close to one another, so it's not the most private, but there were only a few people there during our stay. If you're looking for a place for social camping, I bet Brooklyn Heights would be a fun place to go in the summer when it's full.
Though we didn't avail ourselves of it, there was a nice tent-covered cafe near the firewood station; there were even tables and chairs provided within so you could sit and have a chat before you meet the day. Very nice. We'll definitely be going back and might think about staying in one of the dwellings if we stay for longer than two nights. Those looked very cozy and convenient and private.
Great camping spot. And Vincent is clearly very conscious of keeping the campsite in good order (thanks, V). Lovely place with lots of small towns nearby and great hiking. Our dog loved it, as did we.

We loved this Hipcamp! It was clean, private, and had everything we needed. Our little one enjoyed her adventures around the property and meeting the owners and I enjoyed the quiet. They left beautiful flowers on the picnic table that attracted butterflies the entire time we were there. We are definitely hoping to come back!

Down a narrow WV road which hugs the riverbanks of the Dry Fork River, we found one of the most quiet campgrounds we have visited in a while. The sites were well maintained and easy to access with my small micro camper. We had nightly bonfires at the riverbank fire pits--listening to the gentle flow of the river and stargazing between the trees.

Beautiful place to spend the long weekend! Thank you for hosting Vincent and to Joe for the Autumn olive berries! We had another beautiful weekend there and it happened to be perfect weather! We even got to do a float across from our campsite and get some sun and water fun. Refreshing!

A one of a kind memorable experience to witness....his herd of bison being moved from one pasture to the nearby one! A stampede but much safer than Yellowstone! He even delivered to our campsite his home made bison sloppy joe and it was INCREDIBLE!

Great Hosts, Great Communication!
Stayed for 2 nights and the property is very clean and well kept. Plenty of fish in pond, Large Mouth Bass, Striped Perch, and Blue Gills.
No cell service so you can unwind. Had a peddle boat for use, be we didn’t try it. Heard Coyotes in the evening. It was a wonderful weekend. Highly Recommend.

Their farm is extremely charming, and Julie and her husband were excellent hosts. The perfect spot to stop off for the night on my Motorcycle trip. Heads up if you are on a motorcycle, there is a dirt road involved but it’s not bad. 10/10

We loved our campsite. We stayed in RV 10, which didn’t have water or electric, but it provided us a much more secluded campsite and we were right across the road from the river access. We didn’t have water or electricity, but we filled up our freshwater tank and we ran our generator when we needed. It Great fishing and swimming spots. Not anything like your normal park and camp next to someone campgrounds. We felt more like we were alone in the woods. There were some people around us in the cabins outback, but really we still were pretty secluded.

A really great place to de compress without being plugged in to ground and reconnect with nature again.
A safe and well thought out layout. Walk in ( watch for slippery rocks in the river) water access.
No music blasting- Thank you for that Vincent!
The only sounds during the day were of children laughing and playing in the river and campsites. At night it was quiet, but for great horned owl, barred owl, and a screech owl that roosted above our campsite.
Fellow campers were quiet and respectful of the property.
Awesome place to spend time.

We had a great time at Brooklyn Heights campground. Easy to find and beautiful area. We stayed in RV10, it was peaceful and had quick access to relax in the river. The porta potties were well maintained and conveniently placed throughout the property. Staff were so welcoming and helpful. 10/10

We enjoyed our stay at Brooklyn Heights! We are in the process of turning our SUB into an occasional camper. We wanted to be able to try the camper but we also wanted privacy. I enjoyed the more private option of the primitive RV sites - and the fact that they have so much information about each site on their website. It was great to know which sites we were able to pull the SUV into and which were not so suitable.
