Nomadic camping

Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

Available tent sites, camp with friends or request to camp alone. RV pull in able, 2 electric RV hookups. 20 amp and 50 amp, 30 amp adapter available. No sewer available. Onsite access to well water, with pump and hose. Secluded and off the beaten path, the owners of the property are available if needed but several miles away. 15 minutes from Interstate 79, 10 minutes from Glenville WV. Foodland and Dollar General 8 minute drive, for any necessities you may have forgot. McDonalds, Pizza Hut and Tudors are located nearby. Close to Burnsville Lake, Sutton Lake, Glenville University, Sue Morris Sports Complex. The New River Gorge is approximately 85 miles away, an easy day trip. Acreage to explore, deer friends often visit. Pet friendly. Check in and out times are flexible, please let us know how we can best accommodate you and your party. If you’re looking for a spot to unplug and unwind you’ve found it! We had such a nice weekend hanging out in the woods, letting our dogs be dogs, and our toddler explore the beauties of nature. There’s creeks and trails galore! The owners stopped by with fresh veggies, eggs, and the best candied jalepenos I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back!

Our stay was fantastic! Jontra is extremely responsive especially considering the lack of service in the area. He brought us fresh veggies, wood, and a treat for our pups! Totally unexpected and appreciated. His property is beautiful and private, great for camping in an RV with the electric hookups and well water, or tent camping which is what we decided to do. There’s also plenty to do within driving distance which Jontra had recommendations for as well. Our only regret is having to leave early to do our friend’s pup getting sick. Would definitely return!
