That is unless you have a 4 wheel drive .then you can drive up! There are two twin size beds and pretty much everything you will need to cook and eat with. There is no electricity,running water or indoor bathroom! It’s almost like camping except for sleeping in a tent on the ground. We also have a fire pit outside that you can cook on. The property contains a Tree Fort for sitting/relaxing/hunting. There is a tree stand for hunting. 2-5 min drive to the local State parks that have canoe/boat access. 10-15 min drive to Deep Creek Lake. Close to Wisp Ski Resort. Close to BlackBear Tavern that has go carting, mini golf, food, beer, etc. Shed has a NEMA 14-50 charging port for charging EV's. There are also 9v outlets available outside of the Cabin for other appliances. I have camped several times on my property with my EV! Wonderful time! Welcome to our Island Farm! We're located between Davis, Parsons, and Elkins. Dolly Sods, Canaan, Audra State Park, the Tygart River, the Cheat River, Seneca Rocks, and Tygart Lake are all a simple and scenic trip away. The land itself is 10 acres. The main camp area is on flat field and approximately 4 acres. Here is the secret recipe to this camp site: It will be all yours! We only offer a single primitive site per night. There are no neighbors (at least the human kind) visible from anywhere on the main field. Very minimal light pollution. The stars are clearly visible on a clear night. There are also no utilities. This includes water, electricity, or available enclosed shelters. Verizon and AT&T have strong signals in the field. There is a metal carport that has a concrete pad along with a Porta John for privacy. There are also some storage buildings on site. There is a gas station (Sheetz in Belington, WV) within 5 miles of the farm site and a Dollar General within 3 miles. Beyond that, Elkins has plenty of store options if you need supplies. Interstate 79 is 32 miles away. We are in the process of developing the far corner of the main field into an active hops farm and are members of a WV Co-Hop. Again: this site is secluded and your group will be the only people there during your stay. We will provide detailed directions when you make your reservation. The driveway is steep and could cause issues for two wheel drive vehicles in winter. If it's rained extensively there could also be some muddy areas which we ask that you try to avoid.

The campsite is located in a field surrounded by woods on either side of our property. It is a beautiful and serene area with an abundance of wildlife roaming through the property at any given time We are located just a couple of miles from both Deep Creek Lake and the Wisp Resort. Youghiogheny River put-in is less than 5 minutes away, along with Sang Run State Park and the historic Friend's Store There is an abundance of hiking, fishing, kayaking, boating, and more within minutes of the camp site. It's a wonderful place for exploration or to just kick back and relax!

We began operating our 150 acre farm in 2011 and became the first Certified Naturally Grown Livestock farm in West Virginia in 2013. We raise 100% grass-fed beef, Western and Chinese medicinal herbs. Our family garden supplies more than half of our vegetables and our favorite berries, and our flock of chickens supply eggs and an early morning wake-up call for our campers! There are no GMO's, pesticides, herbicides or fungicides used on our farm. We are 3 miles from Terra Alta, a rural town with a locally owned restaurant and a local craft beer brewery featuring an exciting rotating cast of food trucks. We are 20 minutes from Swallow Falls State Park (MD), featuring Muddy Creek Falls, awesome river swimming and gorgeous hiking in an old growth Hemlock forest. We are also 20 minutes from Herrington Manor State Park (MD) were there is a lake for swimming, fishing, and canoeing. Cathedral State Park (WV) a virgin Hemlock forest with 400 year old trees about 45 minutes away. Deep Creek Lake (MD) is 40 minutes away and offers motor boat rentals, Golf, Skiing and swimming. There is skiing, hiking, biking, tubing, rafting, kayaking and much more to explore within 40 minutes of our farm. The best white water rafting on the east coast is 20-40 minutes away.Farm products are available for purchase on-site. Campers can choose to to have a farm to table meal cooked for them as an extra at checkout. We prepare most of our food from scratch using local produce, meat and bulk organic dry goods. We occasionally make yogurts, noodles, simple cheeses, and fermented foods.We welcome campers of all kinds!

The campsite offers electric hookup (20, 30, 50 amp service), WiFi, picnic table and fire ring. The campsite is located adjacent to the home on the property and has paved access.
