Property was owned by my great grandfather , He lost 150 acres in the early 1900's due to a bad debt from neighboring landowner. Was so happy to be able to repurchase the 150 acres back in 2016,now own the original land tract and added more. 250 acres in total. Portions were strip mined around 1978-1982 creating some flat fields and access to all property. I might add that strip mining if done properly can and does enhance the property. Ponds were built to catch runoff and several new animal species moved in waterfowl ,muskrats, and beavers. The beavers have constructed large dams on property further adding to the beauty. Have seen several bald eagles on and around the property.

Lovely spot to pitch a tent! We arrived late but were warmly greeted by other guests and spent a great evening having our dinner in the dining area and chatting around the bonfire. Amazing spot John was very welcoming the entire time we felt at home. There’s 250 acres of nothing but stunning views. There’s a ton of stuff to do right there skeet shooting a cute little putting green there are five ponds perfect for fishing. The little touches aren’t to be missed either the cute on site shower house with laundry *chefs kiss the bird houses the cute I assume from family named roads and alleys even a 55 miles according an hours sign…. If you’re looking for a place to get away and forget the world this is the place!!!! 10 out of 10 recommend

Perfect spot to camp with our van while visiting Goshen for the 611 Virginia Scenic Railway. Aimee was pleasant and responsive. Both a gravel parking area and a nice grassy area. The area was very quiet, and there was almost no traffic on the road at night.

3 nights at Camp Holly

As a newbie to car camping, Camp Holly was exactly what I was looking for. Nestled in the mountains, my site #4 was perfect and had a nice little path down the bank to the creek. The pond is well maintained and there's a great hiking trail up the hill that my dog and I enjoyed. Firewood was readily available with carts to haul it the short walk back to campsite. The sites were clean and well cared for and if there was any drawback, it might be the noise of motorcycles and trucks from Rte 20 at time. (FYI bikers - WVA 15 from Flatwood to Diana and loop back north on 20 would be an amazing ride, but yeah, what part of WVa isn't?) The noise didn't bother me other than "made you look" reaction. I only mention it because it may be annoying to some. I got tired of my camp food so the last night I ordered out from the diner up the road - not to disappoint it was good old home cooked food and the owner was super friendly. Last but not least, the bath house was immaculate and was cleaned daily. I think you'll enjoy your stay at Camp Holly and highly recommend it.

Fern Grove was a nice place to tent camp. But be prepared for some mud. I know it’s not muddy all year but in August it definitely is. We have camped at quite a few places with Hipcamp and this one had the nicest bathroom of any of them! The on demand hot water was great and so was the real toilet! I like its proximity to the Seneca Rocks/ Spruce Knob area. The lake at the site was cool and the kids liked going out in the boats.

Ed is great! When my daughter and I arrived, we were unable to make it to our site because the stream was very high. We ended up setting up camp in a field and stayed 3 nights. We loved it! We did make it across the stream to see the site and ponds, etc, and everything was beautiful. Highly recommended!

Just what we needed! The cabin was well stocked and tidy, and the owners were so friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean and updated. Our group booked a tent site and a cabin. The kids swam in the pond all day! We kayaked and used paddle boards. The stream behind us was so peaceful and we even hung out and kept cool in it. The sites are well shaded so we weren’t too hot. There is a local general store within walking distance that has just about anything you forgot! We are hoping to come back next year.
