We had a very enjoyable stay. Beautiful view of lake, comfy cabin design and easy to find. Met some really nice folks staying nearby. Its located a fairly short drive to Blackwater State Park with beautiful waterfalls and trails.

Ed was a fantastic host and the property was everything that it promised to be. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, walking, grilling - would 100% return, hopefully with a larger group!

Group trip
The lodge (4 person) was amazing. Simply the best lodge experience so far. The place was more beautiful than the pictures and the hosts provided a lot of useful things in the lodge which we did not expect. Enough space for privacy as other lodges/campsites are well separated. Beautiful lake/pond (it was super clean and blue). Great view of night sky.

The cabins had plenty of room and the staff were very friendly! All instructions were clearly laid out and had plenty of qr codes for venmo payments. The sites were secluded and had many areas to explore! I will definitely return here!

Just what we needed! The cabin was well stocked and tidy, and the owners were so friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean and updated. Our group booked a tent site and a cabin. The kids swam in the pond all day! We kayaked and used paddle boards. The stream behind us was so peaceful and we even hung out and kept cool in it. The sites are well shaded so we weren’t too hot. There is a local general store within walking distance that has just about anything you forgot! We are hoping to come back next year.

My boyfriend and our dogs had a great time staying here!! Our cabin was so nice and the area is so beautiful. We loved exploring the woods and the river. When we checked in, the lady that I talked to was also so sweet and helpful. Thank you for a great experience!

We had a great time camping here! The weather was a bit unpleasant - rainy, windy, and quite cold, but me and my kiddo had a good time anyway. Amber was a great host and came by after the big storm with a fresh supply of dry firewood. Highly recommended!

There was heavy rain during my stay. The cabin was cozy and enjoyable in the rain. The hosts were on top of things when a pathway was flooded. The cabin was nicely setup for a relaxing nature getaway.

I did a cabin stay. The ground was wet and it rain at night. Glad I was not using my tent. The river changes were very noticeable from day to day. May is rushing the season. Rafting and reasturant options few or nonexistent in May. Yes recommend but not until summer

This WV property was charming. We arrived shortly after rainfall. The sound of rushing water and the fog, something out of a movie. Large bolders covered with moss scattered throughout the forest gave a unique landscape. The cabin was cozy. Fair price on firewood. Would return.
