Hello Campers! Our property is 16.5 acres, two of which are along the Tygart Valley River and the rest are within forest canopy on the mountainside. We are in the low foothills of the Appalachia. We have 4 riverfront sites and we are continually changing our space around This year we will be adding a tiny house on site 4 and a sweatlodge with soaking pool on Site 1 additional camping spots along the property near outhouse
Each site is equipped with a steel fire pit/grill and a picnic table. We have been busy building hiking trails and more primitive campsites on the 14.5 acres on the hillside across the road from the riverfront for all to enjoy.
Step outside your tent and enjoy natures bounty —outdoor activities including fishing, kayaking, hiking, bird watching are all at your fingertips and much more. There are 300+ acres of public land less than one mile away with miles of ATV and hiking trails and stocked ponds. If you're a fan of waterfalls just 4 miles down river is Arden Falls, one of our areas best kept secrets. The Tygart Valley River is one of the top kayaking rivers in the country. Audra State Park is less than 20 minutes away with lush forest trails with caves to explore. Well known hiking trails such as Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, and the Dolly Sods are all within an hour drive. Go to Nelson Rocks for the ultimate climbing experience on the Via Ferrata.

We're located between Davis, Parsons, and Elkins.
Dolly Sods, Canaan, Audra State Park, the Tygart River, the Cheat River, Seneca Rocks, and Tygart Lake are all a simple and scenic trip away.
The land itself is 10 acres. The main camp area is on flat field and approximately 4 acres.
Here is the secret recipe to this camp site:
It will be all yours! We only offer a single primitive site per night. There are no neighbors (at least the human kind) visible from anywhere on the main field. Very minimal light pollution. The stars are clearly visible on a clear night.
There are also no utilities. This includes water, electricity, or available enclosed shelters. Verizon and AT&T have strong signals in the field.
There is a metal carport that has a concrete pad along with a Porta John for privacy. There are also some storage buildings on site.
There is a gas station (Sheetz in Belington, WV) within 5 miles of the farm site and a Dollar General within 3 miles. Beyond that, Elkins has plenty of store options if you need supplies.
Interstate 79 is 32 miles away.
We are in the process of developing the far corner of the main field into an active hops farm and are members of a WV Co-Hop.
Again: this site is secluded and your group will be the only people there during your stay.
We will provide detailed directions when you make your reservation.
The driveway is steep and could cause issues for two wheel drive vehicles in winter. If it's rained extensively there could also be some muddy areas which we ask that you try to avoid.

My friends and I had a great time at Cabin 3! The hosts were quick to respond to our inquiries, and the staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The cabin can comfortably fit more than four people and still has plenty of space to move around. Both the indoor and outdoor bathrooms were clean. It’s the best place to relax, unwind, and enjoy good company. Highly recommend!

Tommy's place is gorgeous land! There are nice fields and woods. It felt entirely safe for women to camp alone. It was easy to find using the instructions and we didn't need 4wd. Would definitely go back!
Tommy is delightful and didn't make fun of me when I said I saw a big bear. It was really a cow in the neighbor's pasture, way off in the distance.

We enjoyed Site #4. On end, no one drove by us. On bank of rive.r. little path through over growth to the river. Campsites side by side. Luckily only one quiet person next door to us for one of the two nights.
Def offf main road, 3 miles. About 15 minutes to town of Phillippi, WV.
Owner came first night with wood. Get what ya need then...like 4 big bundles for two nights. We ran out with just two. Enjoyed the moonrise and stars!!!!

This was perfect for what I was needing. Nothing fancy, a field on the edge of the woods with a firepit. It felt very private, but wasn't far at all from the road. I parked near my site so I didn't have to haul anything to my site. Great experience!

As a newbie to car camping, Camp Holly was exactly what I was looking for. Nestled in the mountains, my site #4 was perfect and had a nice little path down the bank to the creek. The pond is well maintained and there's a great hiking trail up the hill that my dog and I enjoyed. Firewood was readily available with carts to haul it the short walk back to campsite. The sites were clean and well cared for and if there was any drawback, it might be the noise of motorcycles and trucks from Rte 20 at time. (FYI bikers - WVA 15 from Flatwood to Diana and loop back north on 20 would be an amazing ride, but yeah, what part of WVa isn't?) The noise didn't bother me other than "made you look" reaction. I only mention it because it may be annoying to some. I got tired of my camp food so the last night I ordered out from the diner up the road - not to disappoint it was good old home cooked food and the owner was super friendly. Last but not least, the bath house was immaculate and was cleaned daily. I think you'll enjoy your stay at Camp Holly and highly recommend it.

Our site was just beautiful!! Surrounded by the river with its rocky banks, native flowers, and a huge chestnut tree that made a natural canopy for our picnic table. It was so peaceful, yet so alive!
I would recommend Earth Sky Campground to everyone!

A buddy and I were both a little wound up with the daily grind. (Work, Kids, sports). We were looking for a quiet place to disconnect and enjoy being away from it. Earthsky worked out great, riverside, flat sites, and limited sites. We were there for 3 nights and had the whole place to ourselves. Dusty came down and introduced himself and gave us the run down. Will definitely come back.

Great peaceful stay on Tommy’s farmland, and he was so accommodating! He came out to meet me at the road going into his usual camping area, and when I expressed concerns about my van’s low clearance, he let me camp up on a gravel driveway that was level-ish that led to his horse barn. It was much closer to the road, but there isn’t a lot of traffic - so this was a great idea and big favor on his part to help me out. The road from Snake Hill Road to his farm was narrow, but the neighbors were very nice in getting over to help with passing one another. All in all, a great place at a great price - and I’d stay again if in the area.

I had such a wonderful experience at Earth Sky’s River Front Camping Spot. The camping area itself was absolutely beautiful — peaceful, scenic, and the perfect place to relax on the river. Emily and her husband were incredibly kind and welcoming, going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They even had an extra amenity available and provided me with firewood, which made my evening by the river even more enjoyable. Their recommendations for Arden Falls and other sightseeing spots were spot on — each one was tranquil and worth the visit. I couldn’t have asked for a better camping getaway!

Hosts were beyond fantastic. Super flexible and helpful. Will answer any questions and even give advice. We wanted a place to fish and maybe kids get in the water. They led us right to the perfect spot. Highly recommend and we will be back.
Side note - small gravel roads in the area, but our minivan did just fine. 🤣

This place was pretty nice! We were the only ones there, so that made it even better. The porta potties were clean and stocked, plenty of firewood for sale on the grounds, nice quiet area, I honestly couldn't have asked for more. As other reviewers have noted, there's little light pollution out there making for killer night sky views!

This was our first time camping, so we weren’t sure what to expect, but we wanted to see the stars and still have ancc to swimming and it did not disappoint. Emily and her husband were great hosts, very friendly, and told us about a bunch of great places to visit. Highly recommend and hope to come back next summer!!

Very nice campsite. It’s set back far away from the main road and was very quiet. Great views of the stars. The wood they sell there is great quality. Much better than what you would get at a gas station or grocery store.
Had a chance to meet the owner. Very nice guy. Gave us some good tips for places to fish and times of year.
The campground is close to Otter Creek Wilderness and several good places to fish.
Cell service is spotty in the area so save directions and locations before you enter the area.
I’ll stay here again next time I’m in the area.

I loved camping at EarthSky, the site was directly on the river and I was serenaded by the geese flying over my little camper. The morning mist rising from the water with herons flying was earily other worldly. The words "a beautiful place" do not do it justice.
Emily and Dustin were there to greet me and show me to the camp site. The drive down the well maintained gravel road was easy for me and my pop up camper. The site was level, grass was cut, fire pit cleaned and ready for my fire. A picnic table at the site was an added helpful bonus.
