Learn more about this land: It sits upon a meadow with surrounding trees and a cow pasture in the distance. Spring time offers a small pond (please see below), but the Lewis river is close by with tons of recreational activities (swimming, fishing, hiking, wineries, etc.). There are only two sites, far from each other. It is a rural property with some farms AND residential homes/Airbnbs along the river, so, be aware there are cars that drive through the one lane road. Town is not far (six miles) to get supplies and the Heisson convenience store is less than a mile away. Privacy is better here than at a public campground and it's perfect for a quick trip out of town for a day or two or just a quick and safe stop in your travels. This is a beautiful property and I enjoy sharing it, please be mindful of the rules. *This winter was tough, lots of wind, so some trees fell, but they are all cleaned up and lots of small trees were planted. Can't wait until they grow to help for more privacy!!! Please, read each site description carefully! There is NO electricity or plumbing at the sites. I did install a BPA safe hose for water at the top of the hill for your use (I usually have it on but if not please feel free to message me and if I haven't responded within a half hour please feel free to knock on my door). Site 1 does have a camp toilet (composting bucket with seat and lid) because it is mostly a tent site (some small RVs and trailers can fit). Site 2 is for RVs (and tents with them) that already have a toilet so if you are a tent camper and want to book this site you will need to bring your own camp toilet. Dogs are most welcome, and may be off leash for a run in the field, however, they MUST have high recall. Please be mindful of my own dogs and chickens down below so please do not let them go beyond your site or the field when using. *We plan on making the pond to be a swim pond that will hold water all year long (the creek that runs into it is seasonal so it dries out depending on how much rain we get in any given year). Currently, it is dry.

This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs above the shop, right on the property. Tilton River Studio Gallery. Three sites have electrical hookups. Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site available Memorial Day to Labor Day. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! Tent camped here off season for a couple days of hunting. Nice campground especially for the price as long as you don’t need a power pole which I don’t. Will camp here again! Especially appreciate the firewood program of wood provided just pay for it with a QR code via PayPal if you didn’t bring your own.

Perfect autumnal rainy getaway with the pups! The cabin was cozy and quite private, but close enough to town that we could make a quick trip to pick up the pancake mix we’d forgotten (oops!). Comfy couch, sweet bed nook, and plenty of trails and spots for the dogs to explore.

Magical cabin in the woods! Relaxing and peaceful with trails to explore. Very pet friendly! Great hosts and all the things needed to cook meals to enjoy by the fire on the porch at night. Highly recommend and will be making a return trip!

Weekend Trip to Green Mountain Lookout

We absolutely love this spot! Very private and great views. It poured rain and was very windy this weekend, but we hunkered down, watched movies and read- it was just what we needed! The only downside was getting into the spot. The directions are not clear that you need to back down into the spot- so when you get to the “driveway” you need to back down and it is a little steep. Unfortunately, even though I had read other reviews, we didn’t realize this point & ended up needing to back up onto the main road in 4wd (and luckily we have an F-350- our previous truck would not have been able to handle this even with 4wd). Make sure you assess before you head to the spot.

A wonderful and much needed break! Came here for my dogs “Birthday weekend” haha. We had lots of fun exploring Rainier and the surrounding areas. The trails of the property were also fun to walk through! Pistachio had lots of fun and I’d happily tuckered out! We hope to be back again soon!

Weekend Trip to River View Dome - Goode Time Ranch

Kelly and Randy were so attentive and sweet!! We had such an incredible weekend and I’m so thankful they shared their space and sweet animals with us. Don’t skip out on the fresh farm egg breakfast and playing fetch with Boone. Our favorite goats were Milo and chance, special mention to lavender the chicken. This weekend was such a special memory for us and I’m thankful we spent my partners birthday here. We will be back for sure :)

The View is beautiful. Compared to a campground it is hands down the better option! The site is at the top of the owners driveway so there is some coming and going but overall was very quiet. You can't beat the views and I bet in the summer with the lake so close it is phenomenal. We would stay again for sure.

Weekend Trip to The Lookout at Mayfield Lake

This was the second time we stayed at The Lookout - and it was even better this time. The Spud airstream was fully loaded with everything we needed, including amazing snacks for our day hike. The dome offered amazing views of the lake and was a magical place to see the sun rise and sunset. This is our favorite place to stay when we plan to visit Rainier. Highly recommend!

Lovely campsite, river access is a nice walk away. Train tracks run along the back of the campground but wasn’t loud enough for it to be a problem. We would definitely be coming back next year. My only concern was the shooting that was happening off the river bank towards the evening, they left after a while but not something I’d want near us. Bathrooms were located all around the campground and very easy check in.

1 night at The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West

This will be an odd review because I have not been to the site yet. I made a reservation for earlier in September but then had difficulty getting my van back from an up fitter. I could not make my previously paid for reservation, but Barb has been absolutely terrific!! I stayed in touch with her and let her know what my troubles were and she has been an angel. I will be getting there within the next three days, Lord willing, and I am certain beyond any doubt that my stay there will be extra extraordinary. These are class ass people. Not nearly enough of them to go around. Wm. Snyder

My Husband and I loved this retreat into the woods! Our dogs had the time of their little lives. We enjoyed walks on the trails, picnics in the meadow and cozy nights in the cabin.
