There are trails all over for walking or there are trailheads just a short drive away if you want to hike. The river is a 30 second-1minute walk from the campsite. Perfect area to pitch a hammock and enjoy the sounds of nature. The campground is 5 miles away from the Mazama Store which sells amazing food (sandwiches, pastries, cookies, and the famous Sea Salt Baguettes). There is also a portable basketball hoop and a tether ball pole. Group rates available. OCTOBER campers: We had to shut down the water and power the season. Exquisitely beautiful area formed by melting glaciers forming the "Alta Coulee". The Coulee can be experienced by hiking, horseback, and mountain bike, user fee applies. The campground is situated at the South end of Alta Lake, opened in 1946 and operated by my Grandparents until 1980 when my father decided to continue operation, adding Outfitting and Guide services into the Pasayten and Sawtooth Wilderness areas. Covid put a halt on business operations and this year is the first since 2019 that we are offering camping again. The lake is 220 acres known to Anglers near and far. Plenty of room for the sunseekers wanting to play in the water on paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, and water skiing. An 18-hole Golf Course resides at the North end of the lake and white water rafting just a few miles down the hill on the Methow River. Horse camping with trail riding is available at the Whistlin' Pine Ranch Resort this year, dry camping and portable pen or highline options only.

This property is a great camp for enjoying everything that Eastern Washington outdoors has to offer. The Columbia river is in the valley below which provides fishing and watersports. The property is adjacent to thousands of acres of State and federal land which are free to explore. Winter tends to bring significant snowfall which makes this a great destination for winter sports as well. The property sits on top of a mountain plateau known as Harmony Heights. The site is about a 20 minute drive to Brewster or Pateros and about 40 minutes to Lake Chelan. This is an fairly large site and will accommodate two RV's as well as plenty of area for tent camping. There is plenty of good spots to play with dogs without any conflicts. Despite the existence of year round residences and cabins this area is still very wild so you have a chance of an encounter with any critter that is native to the forests and prairies of North Central Washington. This includes but is not limited to the occasional bull snake, rattle snake, badger, black bear, mule deer, whitetail deer, moose, coyote, wolf, mountain lion, bobcat, as well as all kinds of birds including blue birds, hawks, owls, turkey, chukar, ravens, Hungarian partridge, quail, and forest grouse. Bring a field guide you will be happy you did.

My house sits on an acre and 1/2 of property and we have 1/2 of the property not being used! Located right across from the Columbia River, just a mile or so from the town itself. You will be 30 minutes from Chelan and 30 mins in the opposite direction to Omak! Central location that's 30 mins to the casino and you can get all that you need from Walmart, which is only 30 mins in either direction. You will love this place, so come and enjoy some peace and nature!
