No shower facilities on site, how ever there is a port-a potty. Camp sure sits on a shy half acre in quiet Lake Loma. Bring your non power boat (electric trolling motors ok) , kayak, canoe, paddle board, or paddle boat, and launch from your camp site into the peaceful lake. Enjoy fishing, swimming, or just a quiet ride in the lake. Camp site includes new floating dock, as well as a fire pit.

The parking lot is behind trees, approx 50 ft from the main road which has regular daily traffic and noise driving by at the top of the site. It quiets down after work in the evenings. Dogs bark because they are dogs, but when you go deep into the forest you can barely hear the road or the dogs. The parking area can only be located there, in order to maintain the ecology of Ames Creek.
The entrance is down through either of two driveways from the main road, on a horseshoe loop drive-through, to the L-shaped parking lot. Tent camping is 4 to 6 total soft pads in the forest near the parking sites. Note: Ames Creek does dry up in mid-summer.
For large RVs maneuvering skills are required to park on the level 23 ft long parking pads in the parking area down the hill from the road. It is a U-shaped drive-through, flat at the bottom of the small driveway hill.

Everyone who sees it remarks that this forest is beautiful. It has a main trail and many small pathways between ferns and hillocks. In an effort to preserve and protect this wild habitat, we have already planted 200 + Western Red Cedars, Douglas Firs, salal, snowberry, native current, and other native vegetation.
This is a great private spot for an RV or similar vehicles and 2 tent circles.
A firepit, and porta-potty next to each pad, another firepit in one of the 2 tent circles for each RV parking pad site.
A completely natural untouched Pacific moss rainforest about 30 miles inland on the foothills of the Mount Baker–Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State. Some areas it is likely no one has ever walked on.
Bring mosquito repellent. Be aware of kids and dogs near road entrances, as well as near the creek in the winter.
It is located near major fun sites, it is a wilderness playground!
Ames Creek dries up mid-July and returns in Sept/Oct. There are a lot of little paths crisscrossing the creek, likely raccoon and deer trails.
We are happy to have your dogs visit - they will love it!
Please remember to bring an extension cord to access power.
There are fire pits. When possible firewood is provided gratis in the woodshed. There are bundles of wood for sale at the Ace Hardware store in Carnation.

During spring and summer, warblers, rails, American Bittern, and sparrows can be quite common. Wintertime brings geese, many types of ducks, gulls, swans, Northern Shrikes, Peregrine Falcons, and some Rough-legged Hawks.

Big, clean, private campsite. Its closer to the road than I thought it’d be but it’s a private residential road and there were only a handful of cars that were blocked by the trees. The location is quick and easy to get to from the city but still feels remote and private. It was a great spot for my dog. The nature trail is pretty and goes through dense fern covered forest. Only thing is I wish check-in time was a little bit earlier, at least in October, because I had to rush to set up camp before it got dark. Overall do recommend!

The Sunlight Circle Campsite was the perfect spot, tucked away in Carnation, WA! The site was very clean, and the fire pit setup is large and a nice feature. Even though it was raining during our stay, it was lovely to camp in a quiet and serene spot, surrounded by a beautiful forest.
We look forward to coming back in the future when we are able to see the stars and explore the trails!

What a gem!! It was just two of us but golly we could have had about 6 more people still with ample room. Very well maintained space, Carnation is an *adorable* town just minutes away, we had a PERFECT view of the Perseid meteor shower. We are totally coming back and bringing the gang next time! Definitely bring plenty of shade, it's a very sunny spot, the best shade was on the left (if you were standing at the mouth of the site looking in at it). So set up camp accordingly! Nearby Duvall has a great city park with a beach on the river that's awesome. And Jason is an immaculate host, welcoming and warm, he made sure we knew to reach out for anything we needed. Super accommodating for our arrival and departure. Genuinely warm and friendly people completely make this spot even sweeter. Enjoy!!

What a lovely, rustic patch of old forest. When the neighborhood settles it is very quiet and the forest around is full of life. Very convenient if one wants to attend events at Remlinger Farm and not have to travel back to the Seattle area in traffic. (Which is what I did.) You can be snuggled by the fire after a concert by 11.

This is an excellent campsite, well maintained and close to town as a convenience. The site is flat and great for tents - we bike packed in - and the owners are on top everything which is great.

This place is absolutely lovely. Owner was great with communication. We felt safe in the area and loved the fire pit and chairs that were provided. We swam in the lake and had a great time. Would absolutely come back!

Such a beautiful place, the view is amazing! The sunset was gorgeous. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the water was magical!
It’s a pretty easy walk to the site. There is a little hill you go down from the parking lot so packing up to go home took a bit more energy but still so worth it. (I should mention that i’m a big comfort camper so we probably brought a lot more things than the average person, probably why it was a lot harder to lug it all back up🤣) I loved seeing the plane/boat things taking off and landing in the water, I had never seen one before!
I was a bit disappointed that the string lights didnt work. I had read a review a few months back mentioning the same thing so I assumed they’d be fixed. Really not a big deal i’m just a string lights lover lol. Make sure to bring your own lights!
Also, there was a bit of glass on the ground. Thankfully we noticed it pretty quickly so we avoided any cuts or potentially damaging our camping supplies. It seemed pretty dull, it may have washed up from the water?🤷🏼♀️ I don’t blame the host for this because it was clear and hard to see! I only noticed it as I was on the ground setting up my tent.
I would definitely stay here again as long as my bank account allows it! Definitely on the pricier side but so worth it! We took a friend who was visiting from New Mexico and he was mesmerized! Thank you for having us!

We booked this site over the 4th of July, and it was a beautiful spot. private yet close to anything needed that may be forgotten. The lake is clear and pretty. The property was kind enough to allow sparklers and the firework show around the lake was spectacular! A lot of amenities are provided or can be added on, which helps save space on the trip over.
We are a family of 4 with 2 medium-large dogs. The space was enough for our 6 person tent, a shaded tent, and a bathroom/shower tent. We filled it up, but it worked!
We ended up having to leave early, due to our dogs. They have terrible camping manners we found out, and they were sucking the fun out of it. The host was amazing all the way around. amazing with booking, and questions about the 4th. Amazing when they heard why we packed up early, and offered us a return stay when/if theres a better time for our family. Very friendly family who is very gracious for sharing this space with others! Highly recommend!

Great spot to spend a couple hot Seattle days on the water. Nice small private beach with picnic table and seating. Host was quickly responsive and we appreciated the late check out to soak up more rays
