Nirvana gardens is at 3000 feet in the North Cascades of Washington. It is 140 acres with a private lake. You will have access to hundreds of acres of roaming with your own private lake. Trail run, hike, Mountain Bike, lake swim, or just sit, meditate, and read a book on the cedar dock watching the sun sets. Nirvana is available in winter with certain requirements. Please message before booking to get a list of the requirements for winter months October 20th to April 1st. I had been searching for over 2 years for a property where I could make a difference in the environment and live in the wilderness. I was looking for water on a large tract of land that was remote. In 2017 I found the perfect property and to my dismay it had sold 2 days before I saw the listing. I was shocked because this was the perfect property. In my 2 years of searching I knew exactly what I wanted and this was the property. It had a private lake with fish. A solar cabin with a flush toilet and hot shower. The cabins 8 foot windows faced West for magical sunsets and view of the storms that roll in from the coast. It was beautifully treed with just the right amount of open meadow and forest with Hemlock, Ponderosa pine, and Larch. How could this property be sold? I tried to let it go but thought about it for the next year. After a year and a half had passed and my search continued I came across an advertisement for this magical property, it was up for sale again. I called the real estate agent immediately and found that an offer had been made but the buyers could not commit for 5 more months. I made an offer that day not really knowing how I was going to pull off the money. I knew this property was meant for me. I wrote the owner a letter explaining that I was a land steward and that this land would never be developed. I would be putting it in a land trust where no developers could put up condos. The owner happened to be a environmentally focused human and he ended up selling to me. Come to find out when I had first saw the property sold a year and a half before, that transaction had fallen through. The owner had just taken it off the market for the winter. You will absolutely love the magic of Nirvana Gardens. The quiet, the wild animals, the crystal clear lake, clean air, and relaxing healing atmosphere of the ultimate nature bath.

There was originally a camper parked here with a roof over it while the main house was built back in th 1970s. When the home was finished the camper was moved out and it was turned into the cabin. It originally had a wood stove but it was always to hot so we replaced it with an electric heater and at the same time remodeled the interior. It is very comfortable for two to three people as it only has the bunk beds, microwave, small closet and dining table with 4 chairs including a rocker and a cabinet with pots, pans and silverware for your convenience. Learn more about this land: Country cabin is on the treeline at the base of O'tool mt. across the street from Lk. Roosevelt. Includes bunk beds, frig, microwave, hot plate, coffee pot, toaster, dining table, small closet, firepit with firewood and horseshoe pits with shoes. One mile to boat launch. Ten miles to nearest loaf of bread. Close to logging roads. You will have aprox. one acre to yourself. Quiet and secluded. We are close by if ever there is anything you need. Recently we were very close to the Crown Creek fire and a hotshot crew came and "prept" our property and cut down a lot of the underbrush therefore changing the landscape around the cabin so the main picture has changed to the current one.

Shaped by behemoth glaciers that carved out the land over 10,000 years ago, Colville National Forest is a gorgeous treasure spanning 1.1 million acres (props to President Theodore Roosevelt for saving it). The lands include a number of geographic features including the Kettle River, upper reach of the Columbia River and the Selkirk mountain range, which is considered to be at the foothills of the Rockies. Residents (including several Native American tribes) and visitors enjoy camping, nearly 500 miles of hiking trails, mountain biking, lakes, rivers and some too legit to quit wildlife including grizzly bears, cougars, bald eagles and the last remaining herd of caribou in the US. That was almost starting to sound like an indie music festival lineup! Did we mention it’s an inspiring place? So much so that close to a million smackeroos was recently rewarded for continued restoration projects. Check the forest website for alerts and advisories.

We provide a propane buddy heater that is safe for indoor use to help keep the space warm for you!! A hot water shower with equally impressive views is close to the straw house but still as private as you need it to be. Once owned by the Lael family (whom the road is named after), this land supported lots of horses in it's past. Trumpkinland Farm is part of what used to be an old dairy owned by one of the original settlers in this area. It is set in a rolling valley, surrounded by hills, mountains, and heavy forest. It is once again a dairy, with a name hearkening to Narnia, the books by C. S. Lewis. It is also, however, now a smallish family sized farm with many other species added to the mix. I raise a rare breed of dairy cow and several breeds of fiber sheep along with heritage pigs. Geese wander freely, along with a few turkeys. If you enjoy animals, there are many kinds of them here and most are friendly! Learn more about this land: First, about my farm name:  My daughter had been reading The Chronicles of Narnia when we befriended and helped an orphaned little fawn, and she immediately named it Trumpkin, after one of the characters in Narnia. This is where her Trumpkin lived and grew up, and so this became Trumpkin's land AKA Trumpkinland Farm.  Over the years a number of deer have come to trust us enough to get relatively close and eat with our animals. Come camp with your tent or self contained RV in our private woods or meadows and enjoy our wild and domestic friends, too, in the beautiful, magical inland northwest!  You can have total privacy, and yet be a short walk from the main farm and a short drive to local natural attractions. There are trails to explore in almost all directions. Some camping sites can be driven to, primarily in the upper meadow, depending on your vehicle. If choosing to be deeper in the woods,  tent camping will work best in most spots, with a carry it in and park either in the meadow or down by the farm proper. If you are tent camping, don't forget a good pad under your sleeping bag! The ground is hard, uneven, and in some places rocky! As this property is also a farm, if you run short of food supplies, or want to buy some of what is produced right here on the farm, there are many options for that! From the gardens to wild fruit foraging, farms are all about food. Farms, camping, and the woods are also about relaxing. In this cannabis friendly state, if you choose to really RELAX, please relax respectfully. With fiber animals in residence, handcrafted socks, sheepskins and an assortment of hand spun gift items are available for purchase. Periodically classes are offered on old time crafts; let us know your interests when you book your time with us.

Healing Haven Campground

38mi from Republic · 1 site · Lodging · Oroville, WA
Healing Haven Campground @ Lone Wolf Ranch is located in the Okanogan Highlands just 4 miles south of the Canadian border off of Hwy 97 and just outside the historical town of Oroville, Washington. The orchards and green pastures of the valley floor are in contrast to the rigged cliffs and dramatic glacial features that surround our 20 acres located on an isolated and peaceful high mountain plateau. Just 1.5 miles away is the wonderful Lake Wannacut Public Access Area where you can swim, enjoy the day on your boat, or just lazily fish from the shore. There are biking and horseback trails such as the Similkameen Trail, the Whistler Canyon Trail, and a vast amount of ATV trails. Museums, local wineries, and an 18 hole golf course provide great day trips and there are a myriad of scenic drives awaiting your exploration. On the property itself you can bike, hike, get a lesson in gold panning at our very own gold mine, or even go on a dogsled ride. Enquire as to availability of tours and experiences at time of booking. The area is rich with quartz and many other minerals and crystals reported to be both a spiritual and a health benefit and the seclusion and quiet will leave you feeling rejuvenated after your stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you to Healing Haven Campground, hope you will excuse any renovations and/or construction of our newly established home, kennel, and campground here in the wild and wonderful Okanogan region, and we also hope that you will have time to book a tour of the kennel, home to an authentic Alaskan Iditarod Sled Dog Team known as the Polar Pirate Pups. Several dispersed campsites are available immediately, with a small cabin to be used as a common area, a Tiny Lodge, and what we call The Tiniest Home coming in the following weeks. See you soon!
