SEWER HOOKUP NOTE: Sewer hookup is on the driver's side of the vehicle if you pull in forward. If you pull all the way forwards the sewer hookup will be 24' behind the front tire. There is no turnaround and you cannot drive off the front of the pad. The hookup is raised about 2 feet off the ground to enable gravity feed. Welcome to our little slice of heaven on the banks of the wild and scenic Skagit River! The spacious Group Camp overlooks the beautiful Skagit River and is located on five riverfront acres adjacent to our family farm of 43 years. In addition to the Group Camp, there are just 3 single campsites on this property. Get ready to watch Canadian geese fly overhead, dip your toes in the warm sand and experience Peace Like a River. Take a walk along miles of dike, launch your kayak in the river, cast your line and fish the glacial river waters, or just soak up the tranquil beauty. The Group Camp features a huge central wood fire pit with cooking grill, and 7 adirondack chairs/2 side tables that overlook the river. The large custom outdoor kitchen (cold water) is perfect for meal prep and easy clean up. There is also a 3 burner propane stove (propane provided) . Two-8' picnic tables and a 3' X 4' serving/buffet table give plenty of seating for meals. Just minutes away you can walk to the river on a private trail. During the summer months there is typically a long sandbar. You will find stunning views in every direction with partial shade under towering cottonwoods. For safety purposes, a camp fire is allowed only in the provided fire pit. This site has space for 2 recreational vehicles (20' or less) or up to 3 tents. Current COVID restrictions apply for group size/composition. Our family has great respect for the beauty and power of the river. Care for safety must be taken on the river edges as they are steep in places, the glacial water is very cold, and it has a strong tidal current and hidden undertows. Life jackets are strongly recommended for any activities on the water and we discourage swimming. We are located just 65 miles north of Seattle and minutes from I-5. This is your landing spot to explore all of the Skagit Valley, from the San Juan Islands to the Cascade Mountains. Our campsite is a grassy patch down in the valley nestled under a large spruce tree next to a goat pasture. If our male goat is in that pasture, you may get occasional goaty smells, but that is just part of the farm life :) We have a picnic table, chairs, fire pit, electrical outlets, and a porta-potty available a short walk away for campers to use. Your campsite is the only one on the property. You may see us farmers going about our daily tasks, but we will make sure you have your privacy.

The cabin at Valhalla once again proved to be a wonderful autumn destination to relax amongst the trees, listen to the babbling stream, soak in the sun atop Look Out Rock and cook up some good food around the campfire. I can't say enough good things about this place, it is really an oasis of calm.

Valhalla tree farm is beautiful and so serene. The different birds calling and talking through the sounds of trees moving in high winds, so good! The pup and I went exploring through the property and trails feeling like we were fully in Ferngully. Our shelter camp site on Huckleberry Hill was perfect. Dave clearly puts a lot of thought and care into providing the best experience. Not only was he communicative and responsive, but he was also accommodating. Thanks to the shelter at our site, we didn’t drown in the torrential downpour! This property is highly rated, the pup and I agree 💯

Weekend Trip to Roney River Ranch (R3)

We had a lovely Fall stay this weekend in our little camper. We loved the sounds of the coyote calls through the night. They were quite talkative but it was fun to hear the wildlife around us! My dog really enjoyed having the freedom and space to run and play. The quaint town of Duvall is super close so we enjoyed a beautiful brunch before packing up for home.

Van camping in the Nook at Elwha was quiet and peaceful! The hosts were super accommodating of my last minute vehicle change and helped me find a place that would fit a large campervan. The bathroom was warm, which was perfect for showering after a week on the road, but also a bit far from my campsite (an oversight on my part). I’m not sure if this is normal, but both porta-jons near me were locked- didn’t have a chance to ask the hosts about it since I was mostly away during operating hours. Having WiFi was a nice surprise, which helped me stay in the loop about events planned at the fungi festival. Overall, Very nice amenities and hosts!

Valhalla is everything you want in a campsight and more. The land is beautiful and so peaceful. The sites are spread out for privacy and there's a few different types, including cabins so you're sure to find something that you'll like . The roads are well maintained. There's drinkable spring water from a faucet at every site. Trails all throughout the property to explore and a creek to play in. It's a paradise and the host, Dave is a great guy. Friendly, helpful and very responsive. It's obvious he's put a lot of work and love into the property. Can't wait to go back!

beautiful cute and quaint campsite. lovely couple that gave so many great recs and info on the site. celebrated my friends bday and first time camping for him and he said it was a lovely experience. very well kept area and grass was still soft in late sept. 10/10 would recommend especially if you dont want to camp with other campers around and prefer more secluded area without it being too far from the city (30 mins away from downtown seattle) and owners are nearby but never saw them throughout the trip just to say hello and goodbye:) thank you for the beautiful stay. also depending when you go they have lots of fruit - apple on trees and grapes on the vine in late September!

The yurt was such a great experience! It was decked out with everything you could possibly need (chargers, flashlights, batteries) & the kitchen had all necessary supplies. The driving and parking directions were very clear. The land is beautiful. It was a bit louder than expected, with sound traveling across from other neighbors in the AM, but other than that our experience was great and I would go back again!

I spent six days on the farm in late September, and it was excellent. Such a beautiful, special place. I loved being neighbor to the goat men, and having my morning coffee in their company. I highly recommend the farm tour; it was awesome to have Grace show me around and tell me the farm’s stories. So good!! Also the soap. I really really loved the goat soap. :)

This is what you want when you are searching hipcamp! Site was clean, peaceful and lovely. There's water, an outhouse, a shelter, a picnic table and the most perfect place to hang a hammock. I hiked all the trails and explored all the other sites and I would stay at all of them! If you are into bird watching, bring your binoculars, the mountain is host to a ton of raptors, owls, a Kingfisher and tons of little birds too.

Sally and Berry were amazing hosts. They have a beautiful property and our spot was nice and secluded. The porta potty was clean and convenient. Josh's hideaway is an awesome spot but my tent was definitely to big. A smaller tent would work better because there isn't a big level area. There are lots of trails. We were going to a concert at Remlinger Farms and there is a trail great for biking or walking to get there. Berry showed us how to find it. I would absolutely stay there again. We appreciated our hosts kindness.

Weekend Trip to Elwha RV Park

We tent camped on site T18. The signage was amazing and we never felt lost, unlike at some other HipCamps we have been to. The facilities were clean, showers hot. Plus, our car battery died and the owners came out and helped us at 6 in the morning, which just shows what good people are running this place. 10/10 would recommend and definitely plan on coming back next year!
