The *Purple Cottage* -- was found & salvaged (recycled!)-- moved onto the back of my property in 2012. This 16 X 12' place has been my studio in the past, but has offered overflow for friends & ; family. Nestled in the woods and ever-so-private, the cottage has a pull-out double futon, plus a small sleeping loft and can accommodate 1 -2 nicely (we will consider 3 if you have a small child, but it would be a tight fit!... There is a very small sleeping loft in the cottage.). There is a “en suite kitchen in the cottage that has a small fridge, microwave, and two burner stovetop cooking unit. The cottage offers privacy in a wooded garden setting. The bathhouse, with hot shower, vanity and; toilet --are all steps away (and covered) from the main cabin. The Purple Cottage sits on a shy wooded acre, with greenbelt buffers all around, maximizing the sense of privacy. our vintage Shasta Trailer across the driveway of the Purple Cottage is currently used as a music studio (and rarely as family/guest overflow), and I have my own small Artist Studio located also on the back of the property. Even with all the little enclave of buildings, The Purple Cottage retains a private feel all to itself, with reliable Wi-Fi available at the cottage. . It is located in a quiet little neighborhood, about 6 miles from Langley & 6 miles from Freeland.. Private beach access is across the road and a 15 minute walk up the street, where you can beach comb & explore the shoreline out at our little point. The private deck off the side of the Purple Cottage offers views of the gardens & flora, and has a little gas barbecue. There is also a delightful hot tub on the deck, which is a wonderful feature. An outdoor kitchen on the edge of the woods allows a roomier “camp cooking” experience with Colman stove & cold running water (season permitting). We are located 6 miles from the picturesque town of Langley and equal distance from Freeland, on the south end of Whidbey. Our area is very *bike-able* and either direction will get you to town! The Purple Cottage offers a rustic retreat in a place that feels far away, but is an hour & a half from the bustling city of Seattle!

A remote island, naturist beach and kayak at the creek. Parking is limited. Guests love it here: "We stayed two nights at Curley Creek Canyon and loved the experience! Jerrett was a wonderful host and met us upon arrival with great recommendations of places to explore on his beautiful property. The camp sites are clean, private, and have fire pits, and benches provided. We took the roped trail down to the creek (bring gloves its a bit steep) and saw large groups of salmon swim upstream. This time of year is magical with the dropping leafs and lush moss/fungus sightings. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick getaway from the city to connect to nature. This is the river escape you have been dreaming of! With views of Sauk Mountain, Mt. Kulshan/Mt. Baker and Skagit River access that is a 5 min away, heaven on earth can be found here. There is a gazebo for shade and a large concrete slab with a picnic table for you to enjoy. To the right of the gazebo is a grass landing that has room for a few tents. Just behind that grass landing is a fire pit that can be used when fire bans are not in affect. There is also a RV pad with electric hook up. There is a 6 seat swing to take in all the views, a gazebo for shade and a large concrete slab with a picnic table for you to enjoy. There is ample space for tent, car, or RV parking. There is power and a honey bucket for your convenience. There is NO running water, you will need to pack in and out your own water, food, and trash. To get to the river there is a trail to the right of the property that is public land, along with the trails to the river. It's just a short 5 min walk to the beach. The water can be really cold and swift so please be careful and mindful! All of the properties that are along the river are privately owned. There is no noise restriction or curfew as you might find in a camp ground. There also multi use trails for humans and small off road vehicles. They are friendly and watch for pedestrians as far as we have experienced. Warning⚠️ friendly dog alert! Reedus is the nextdoor neighbor’s dog and has lived off leash all of his life. He is very friendly even though he looks big. He just wants to say hi. If you aren’t dog people or are afraid of them this might not be the property for you.

Great place to unwind and detach. The moment you get there you just feel like you can rest and relax without guilt. Do at least 4 or 5 days to really enjoy it.

This is the meadow campsite. You can park your car or RV here.

Mary was so nice. We had a great time! Camp was so easy to set up, our dog had a lot of area to roam and kiddos had a blast.

This hammock is set up close to a drop. It's above the creek that flows through so you can relax and just listen to the water below.

Jerretts land was amazing! He was a great host & made sure to orient us to the campsite. There was a fire pit, wood fired hot tub, a few trails, and good space to spread out. We were told there were three other groups but we never really encountered them. It was perfect for our group of four and pup.

We arrived a bit before check-in time and Jerrett was already at the campsite to greet us. He gave us a solid tour of our site, the nearby creek, and the multiple hiking trails just a short walk from our campsite. Lots of forest cover so the heat doesn’t get to you, but beware of bugs due to the proximity to the water. Short drive to a beach and town as well.

Weekend Trip to Wildwood Farms Camp

Wildwood Farms - Olympics Area We stayed here from 8/9-8/10 (Sat-Sun) and had such a lovely experience. Mary and Pete, the hosts, were incredibly sweet and welcoming. Our one-night stay at this beautiful Olympic-area campsite was peaceful, scenic, and well worth the visit. We loved the never-ending water faucet--supposedly the cleanest water around--paired with a gorgeous mountain view. The site came with camping chairs and a fire pit (though we couldn't use the fire pit due to seasonal burn restrictions). We especially enjoyed watching the friendly chickens roam around. Mary mentioned they're about 4 years old and still laying 6-7 eggs per 15 chickens--very impressive! Their eggs ($6/dozen) had deep yellow, vibrant yolks that were clearly organic and fresh. Yes, the chickens can be a little chatty in the morning, but it added to the charm for us. The port-a-potty was far nicer than average thanks to the scents and care Mary and Pete put into maintaining it--truly appreciated! It came stocked with toilet paper, and the water faucet (with a blue handle) was easy enough to operate once you got the hang of it. Just remember to bring your own soap or dish soap, as those aren't provided. We stayed at Campsite One, which was spacious enough for 6-8 people and offered a fantastic value. Between the friendly hosts, fresh eggs, mountain views, and peaceful farm atmosphere, this was one of the best campsites we've enjoyed--and we'd happily return.

Reverence was perfect for us and we will definitely be back! We fish the Skagit River and Baker Lake a few times per year and camping in this location makes it a fairly short drive to all of our launch areas. The property itself is a nice wide open area that can accommodate quite a few people and cars. The coolest thing is the river access that is about a five minute walk from camp on a trail that connects directly to the campsite. The best part is you get 3 different fairly large sized sandy beaches to choose from when accessing the river. Kind of a fisherman’s dream! So glad we found Reverence. Would definitely recommend!

The place is EPIC. Comfy, welcoming, brimming with awesome art, and memories all over. It felt like we were walking into such a thoughtful space, which was only exemplified by the kindness of appliances, access, and bits and bobs which made our stay even more wonderful. Sarah was kind, responded promptly, and was very conscious about our space and time whilst we were at the property. The hot tub was clean, warm, and ready to use. The bathroom which is right next door to where we slept was well stocked and the shower was great! Myself and my partner loved every minute and we will likely be back at some point! Thank you for creating such a unique spot on the island! I cant recommend this place enough!

This place is definitely a hidden gem. My husband and I snuck away for a little overnight escape from reality here! Super private, we were the only ones that booked that night so we had the whole place to ourselves! Peacefully tucked away away from traffic, people and chaos. Jarret was kind upon arrival and gave us the quick tour of his perfect little set up! Definitely will be doing this again!
