Booked a last minute weekend to hike the north cascades for fall colors and larch trees, and figured this place was the perfect location, and a bonus being dog friendly with a nice little field to let my dog run. A couple things to note about the property though, for the price: there is no bathroom, and all three campsites on the property are really close to the highway, so road noise is constant (but wasn’t really too hard to sleep). I actually decided to stay at the snow park down the street one of the nights, to be closer to the trailhead and have a bathroom nearby (for free)

This is the a very clean, level, easy to access and a short distance to Twisp. We selected the first camp and it was easy to setup our Class B RV. We live out in the country ourselves and so load noises camping is avoided. I share this due to the road is not that far from the first camp but the traffic even on a Sunday was very light, not a problem.
The most impressive feature is how well this Hipcamp is taken care of. It is nice to park on a green lawn. The camp should win an award for the best camp.
We hit Twisp for a bike ride around town, and found that on a Sunday 3pm is closing time for some stores.

Kyle and his wife were super nice and provided great recommendations. They also have the cutest dog that’s ever lived, named Bean. Our dog loved Bean too!

Stayed before thru hiking the enchantments, so didn't enjoy it for long because of needing to leave early the next morning, but it was such a nice campsite I am sure it will be great for an actual camping trip :) I loved how close it was to the freeway so it had that convenience of accessibility but even with that it wasn't loud!

This was a nice spot to camp close to Leavenworth. It was off the highway, but the spot was set back just enough so there was not much noise. It was exactly as described and perfect for campervan camping for a night!!

Kyle’s spot is rad!
Seriously, if you’re going to camp around lake Wenatchee… don’t stay at Nason Creek, the State Park, etc. stay here. Sure, you have to poo in a bucket in nature and bring your own water. Or you could drive 2 mins down the road to the gas station or diner to potty.
This spot is worth it. It’s feels super private even though there is a resident on the property a ways away. If you aren’t shy and like to meet new people, say hi to him or invite him over to hang for a min. He was super nice and funny and was a pleasure to have join us for our little karaoke sesh. There were two little kitten rescues that the resident has and they were the sweetest part of staying here. They won’t be kittens forever, but what a treat that was! Frankly, we had a blast and I am so thankful to Kyle for letting us book his spot so late on a Friday evening. He was responsive and helpful when I got a little lost, and super kind. There is a nice table, trees perfectly spaced for a hammock, a fire pit, and even a propane fire pit you can hook up your own propane to. The wind can be a bit strong, and the site is mostly dirt, so don’t plan on wearing all white clothing and make sure you weight your stuff down.
Otherwise, have fun and enjoy the privacy so close to the lake and river. You really can’t get that around the area so take advantage of it :)

P.s - the stars at night were unreal. I’ve never seen anything like it. Enjoy :)
