Welcome to The Landing at Index - located on the South Fork Skykomish River, in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, off of Highway 2. With 16 acres of beautiful, private woods and breathtaking views of Mt. Index, this is a wonderful getaway to kick back and relax after your day of adventures, or just to escape the city rush. Or, just sit back and relax in tranquility, as the property sits at the end of a cul de sac just before entering national forest land. Be sure to leash your pets and keep a good eye, as there are wildcats, coyotes, and bears in the area. Learn more about this land: Pull your RV or trailer onto this lot and take in the beautiful southwestern view of Mt. Jupiter ridge and a peek-a-boo view of the Dosewallips River! You will also find many hiking trails and parks nearby! There is weak cell service on the lot, so you may or may not be able to connect. I get 1-2 bars with Sprint. While this property is not very far off the Dosewallips road (35 mph), it is generally very quiet and peaceful. You may hear cars and motorcycles from time to time, but very faintly. The lot is at about 350 ft. elevation, so you may get noise traveling up the valley from the residential community below (to which I belong), such as dogs, people using chainsaws, etc. There is hunting allowed in the national forest, so you could potentially hear guns in the distance during the day, but that is rare. There are a few close neighbors, so please be respectful and quiet, especially in the evening. Please bring your own firewood when campfires are allowed and please do not forage for firewood on or around the property. Lastly, while the sightings have been few and rare, the neighbors have seen bears, cougars, coyotes, and bobcats near their homes and this property. So keep an eye on your children and pets, especially if off-leash (your pet of course!) The property also slopes a bit where the deck starts, so again, keep a close eye on the kiddos. You have a very good chance of seeing the local Roosevelt Elk that travel in huge herds around Brinnon (See pics). They sometimes lay down and hang out on the grass on the property! Make sure your pets have their flea and tick updates!

About the campground: The campground is located in the far northeast corner of the property on the edge of the forest and meadow. In the common areas you will find the porta potty, shower and sink. There is also a supply closet that has the yard games and extra supplies. There is a hot tub situated right on the edge of the forest with peek-a-boo views of the inlet. You will also find garbage and recycling bins. There are trails throughout the forest along the 600 feet of water (tide) front. Along the trails you will find several different benches, seats and swings to relax and enjoy nature from. There are also fairies and gnomes who have been sighted in the forest. If you look closely, you might spot one too! We ware, if you touch a fairy or gnome they do lose their magical powers so please respect the mystical creatures. 😊 The sites are about 500 feet from our house and offer great privacy. You may see us throughout the day and evening coming and going from the campground, working on the property or playing with the kids on the trails!

This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! A remote island, naturist beach and kayak at the creek. Parking is limited. Guests love it here: "We stayed two nights at Curley Creek Canyon and loved the experience! Jerrett was a wonderful host and met us upon arrival with great recommendations of places to explore on his beautiful property. The camp sites are clean, private, and have fire pits, and benches provided. We took the roped trail down to the creek (bring gloves its a bit steep) and saw large groups of salmon swim upstream. This time of year is magical with the dropping leafs and lush moss/fungus sightings. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick getaway from the city to connect to nature. Will was a great host and has a great spot perched up on the hill. The space is very accessible and our two dogs had more than enough room to play and get all their energy out. We will definitely remember this spot the next time we are in the area.

Site #2 sits directly adjacent to Site #1 and their border is delineated by the cedar fence on the left. Site #3, on the right of Site #2 is not open for reservations.

Weekend Trip to Hood Canal Oyster Farm | Lilliwaup

We had a wonderful overnight stay at Jim's Hood Canal Oyster Farm. We originally booked site #2 but Jim contacted us prior to our arrival and invited us to stay at site #1 which became available. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. All three sites are very well kept, peaceful, and private. The hookups worked perfectly, and our 21' class C RV had no issues with the short steep climb to the site. Site #1 is the largest and we loved the herb garden and table. I did notice that site #3 is more private and would have fit our RV with no issues. We hope to be back soon. We can't thank Jim enough for the absolutely delicious oysters from his farm.

Beautiful spot! Arrived on Thanksgiving night to a soggy and foggy view but the next morning woke to blue skies and beautiful Mountain View’s! Plenty of space and the deck and fire pit (although weather prevented us from using) was a wonderful addition. Even though the location is amount neighbors and other homes, it felt very private and very quiet. The views can’t be beat! Would stay again.

I loved my stay at Tiara's place! It's in a beautiful and convenient spot, right off Ben Howard road and right next to the Thousand Trails Thunderbird RV Park. Tiara was super communicative, flexible, and accommodating, even when I didn't have power (thanks to a transformer having blown). I would definitely stay at Tiara's place again!

This was our second time at this campsite in Lilliwaup! The location is great, it was quiet, the campsite & porta-potty were clean, and Jim was a great host. Since it was a wet weekend, he brought dry kindling to our site and made sure we were all set for the evening. We'll be back again!

Loved the site, will say be on the lookout though on wild animals as we had an overnight visit from some coyotes so keep that in mind for small animals if off leash. Only con is mainly a 1 way road once in property so when we arrived there was another vehicle trying to leave so caused some issues. Overall beautiful and clean worth the trip over!
