Private property along the Quinault River between NFS land and Olympic National Park, adjacent to Colonel Bob Wilderness and just past The Quinault Nation reservation. Homesteaders came here in 1890, prior to that there was no human habitation. A perfect base camp to explore the many varied facets of the West side of the Olympic Peninsula. The campsites are on acreage of a very small off-grid farm. Relax and forget the stress. There are 6 tent sites and 2 small RV sites. Toilets are available, as well as trash bins, potable water, and picnic tables. We do not allow pets. Guests love staying here: "This spot was everything we were hoping for and more! Awesome location near everything in Quinault. Received a fun, short tour of the property from our hosts who are incredibly nice. The campsite was tidy and exactly what we imagined. Plenty of room between us and our neighbors, and we barely knew that they were there. The outhouse is basic but clean and charming. Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. Merriman Creek is nestled under a canopy of old growth Maple Trees next to our Nightly Rental, The River's Edge, on the South Shore of Lake Quinault. At the request of our nightly rental customers, we have added secluded dry camping sites for our guests and for those wanting to enjoy the Lake Quinault area. Due to USFS Campground closures and high demand, we are happy to provide a place for campers to spend a night or two as they enjoy Lake Quinault. The Hipcamp location is approx 100 yards away from our Rental House and it is secluded and provided. Preferably this is a walk-in tent site Hipcamp, but if the weather is dry, you may drive in with your car or camper van. Please be mindful of other campers as this is an open field nestled under old growth Maple Trees. Quiet Hours and respectful camping etiquette should be followed. We have a communal fire pit in the middle of the 3 acre parcel, 7 sites in total and a clean and new Porta-Potty toilet. There is no water on site so please bring your own water. You may also bring your own portable propane fire pit should you wish not to use the communal fire pit. We hope this description helps! Site 1 is best suited for a camper van. Everyone must pass by this site to get to the other sites. SIte 1 is also closest to the Porta Potty. Site 5 and 6 are in the very back of the property and might be best if you are camping with another family. Site 7 is closest to the fire pit. One tent per space please. You are welcome to message the Host for any questions, we are very accommodating and can also help you plan your trip and advise on things to do. We also have a brand new cabin 1/2 mile up the Valley from our Merriman Creek Hipcamp that also can be rented through the Hipcamp Platform.

A very peaceful site and I like that there’s only a handful of sites, a community kitchen and the host was super friendly, greeted upon arrival and left us alone (unless we needed something) which was awesome. Lots of nature and fun listening to the owls all night!

It's a small pasture surrounded by beautiful trees, there is no privacy from other campers but the sites are spread out. The site was all lush green grass even in Aug, I walked around barefoot most of the time. The huge maple trees were gorgeous, especially at sunset and sunrise. Negatives: our site was in direct afternoon sun (91° that day) it was hot, I asked Kellie a question through HC and she never answered, and the port-a-john was pretty gross, no toilet paper, hadn't been cleaned in 6 days.

One big, grassy field with sites lined up. Site #6 was at the very end so if you set up right, you might get better privacy than the other sites. No service and close to Lake Quinault. Next to a road so you might hear cars, but otherwise it's pretty quiet.

Perfect spot for our one night stay! Just a few miles from Lake Quinault (South Shore), campsite was well maintained and site spacious enough for our campervan. The property was very quiet and peaceful. The mountain views were incredible. We especially enjoyed sunset and watching the herd of 40+ elk grazing down the road. The sites appear to be close together, and there were no other campers, so can 't really comment on crowded/not crowded, or noise concerns. Would we come back? Absolutely. Happy Camping!

We were having trouble finding a campsite and were relieved to book here last minute. That said, we were a bit disappointed. The sites are very close together, and it felt more like a shared field than individual campsites. If you enjoy primitive or private camping, this probably isn’t the spot for you. One frustrating moment was when other campers changed clothes right in the middle of the shared area, which felt uncomfortable and inconsiderate. Other than that great spot, beautiful scenery.

This place is a real green paradise in the Woods. We enjoyed the large space to play ball with our grandson as well as the presence of Paul's large garden where he grows basically everything. He invited us to harvest some very well tasting rasberries and strawberries ... very nice person overall.

The property was easy to find, quiet and the hosts, were great!! Enough room for my tent, enough space between camp spots. The common kitchen area is set up nice and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and cute too. Fresh drinking water, wash your hands water, firewood, and eggs were all ready when we arrived. I felt very comfortable and welcomed. Definitely recommend this property to anyone 🏕️ ⛰️

Our group had a great time! The host was super friendly and attentive. The site was a good size with a very clean portapotty. We loved having the string lights and gazebo. It was also nice having two types of firepits. Keep in mind it's in a neighborhood, but the drive to Lake Cushman was worth it!

5 of us and one dog really enjoyed this spot! Another room for all the activities. Plenty of fireplace spots. Thank God for the canopy because it rained allllllll weekend. So we had our propane fire, the chairs and just hung out. The guys went diving at lake Cushman! Porta potty was pretty clean. Only thing was you do have houses on both sides of you and golfers drive by but it wasn’t bad. We really enjoyed this spot! Also, the pulling in was nice for the camper but we weren’t sure if how to get out besides backing out up the small hill so make sure you’re good at doing that ha!!
