Ocean Shores is known as a small charming coastal community with an abundance of recreational and cultural activities. It is also surrounded by miles of sandy beaches on the Pacific Ocean as well as Grays Harbor. Its 23 miles of inter-connected canals and lakes charm you with their breathtaking views. Surrounded by trees and vegetation you will have all the privacy you seek as you are the only campers here. This is a very large space to share with those of your choosing. There are no "lights out" or "quiet times" for you to worry about. Large open space for camping with friends and family to gather and enjoy each others company.  Dogs are able to be leash free and enjoy the space as well. Only a ten min private walk to the ocean through the dunes to enjoy beautiful sandy beaches, kite flying, picnics on the beach, day camping, amazing sunsets and so much more. Rubber boots (maybe some waders, depending on the winter) are recommended for the hike to the beach during the winter months (November-May) as you will have a small trek through seasonal wet lands. You may also access the beach/ocean by vehicle just a few minutes away in town.  You will be located between the Quinault Casino and the City of Ocean Shores where you can enjoy all the wonderful activities there is to offer.  If kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding is what you are seeking, many are unaware of the 23 miles of scenic canals in the City of Ocean Shores.  You may also fish for bass, rainbow trout, yellow perch and bluegill sunfish in these waterways.   I hear there are a couple little Islands to explore as well.  What a hidden treasure! There are three launch sites available we can give if needed.  And if you left something at home, sitting there thinking he was going to grab it (haha) no worries, you more than likely can grab it in town. The Ace hardware is amazing!  There is an Arcade, golf, miniature golf, go carts, water go carts, bowling, horseback rentals (seasonal) for the beach, electric bike rentals, scooter rentals and so many more activities for you to enjoy.  A wonderful place where memories are made.

Our beachin camp is located on the Longbeach, Washington Peninsula. It's a dry camp, for now. It's less than a half mile to the ocean. We have four sites available. Each site has a cute cinder block firepit. Its perfect for RV's or tent sites. As you turn onto the property you will be met with a gate. To identify the correct property you will see two small brick pillars at the entrance. Please be sure the keep the gate closed when not in use. Upon entering the gate, our campsites are located along the LEFT-hand side and are distinguishable by the 4 built-in block firepits. (Please note: the campsites along the right-hand side that are nearest to the cell tower are not operated by us.) Pack out what you pack in. All trash must be removed at check out. Jack's Country Store offers garbage drop off for a small fee. There is a small park with a restroom located a couple blocks away that is usually open for public use. The campsites are on acreage of a very small off-grid farm. Relax and forget the stress. There are 6 tent sites and 2 small RV sites. Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. There are reasons for this: When we initially opened, we allowed people to camp there through Hip Camp and I was getting low stars ratings because Entitled people thought for $28 bucks, they got the whole river to themselves and would fight with other campers. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. In the coming years I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! This place is amazing, anytime of year! Always perfectly clean when we arrive, well maintained gravel, easy to open and close entry gates, large garbage dumpster area for disposal upon leaving. The view from site 5 is our favorite! Everything out this HipCamp is outstanding. This trip, we were the only ones here! Our 2 dogs were in Heaven! The stretch of private beach all to themselves! And we even had December blue skies! Pouring, sideways rain and hail too, but hey, that makes a 🌈, right? Thank you, Shelby, for your wonderful management of this property, and to the owners who continue to make it available to people like us! We have dibs if you ever decide to sell! lol 😉

This was a lovely place to camp with an incredible view! Level parking for our 25 foot trailer. There is some slight highway 101 noise, but nothing that would keep us from returning. It was a misty weekend, so we hunkered in most of the time. The clouds amongst the trees made for a beautiful view. We enjoyed going into the very small town to the Tipsy Whale for nice cider and beers. Mostly, we toured around and enjoyed the sea lions, seals, and many birds.

We stayed at Site 3 at Jackie and Ron’s. The hosts are more than accommodating. We loved the location and clean bathrooms at a well maintained RV park. There was also WiFi for those that need it, and fire rings if one would like a fire. The campers are quiet and respectful. We will definitely stay here for future clam digging trips.
