Adam & Sara purchased the property in 2018 to preserve it. We enjoy sharing it with nature aficionados who respect the sacredness of the unblemished land and help us keep it pristine. We bought this land in 2017, there were 7 derelict mobile homes on the property. We cleaned up the area and remodeled the house next door and put in the 5 RV sites. We hope you enjoy this property as much as we do, it is a one-of-a-kind beautiful, quiet place. All of our sites have full hook-ups (water, sewer, and power). The sites are just a couple feet from the bay with access to miles of beach hiking. You can walk to Bottle Beach State Park which is approximately 1 mile north or hike about a mile south to Elk River. Enjoy unobstructed views of Westport and the freight ships coming into the harbor. Enjoy a peaceful beach with amazing sunsets. Whether you are surfing for the weekend or tuna-fishing, this is your go to spot - you will not be disappointed. Westport is 7 miles by car and the Westport Winery is only 5 miles. There is two nearby boat launches - one off of Elk River just 2 miles away and the other off of Johns River launch just 6 miles away. St. Helens, & Olympic National Park, just 3 minutes from Rainbow Falls State Park and 4 minutes from Willapa Biking Trail! We are located on top of Bunker Hill nestled between the Dunn creek and Chehalis river. Our property is 56 acres of mixed biomes including multi-generational forests, open meadows, and creek side trails. We are located right off Chandler Road, off of Highway 6. You turn onto Labri road (white sign) and you're on the property after going through a gate. Meander down the road past a red barn and several buildings on your right. Through the second gate, the dispersed camping site offers various sites for camping attached to a main trail that parallels the Dunn creek down to the Chehalis river. They are conveniently accessible off the logging roads which cross with Labri road after you've passed through the second gate. If you take the logging road to the left (look for a blue and white ribbon) you will come up to a tree line where you can park (another blue and white ribbon) and either take the trail to the left or right where you will find ample places to camp. You may camp along the trail or closer to the creek. The most ideal spot is right after you park near the blue and white ribbon if you walk North you'll see a site marked with an orange and white ribbon. This site has easy access to the creek but is still on a hill. There are four RV spots with full onsite hook-up. Two of the RV sites are paved and lit with ground lights and are prioritized for heavier rigs. The other two sites are on grass. We have two RV sites with no hook up (boondocking) but bathroom and shower access. We do not allow dumping of grey water or sewage at our property but there is a dump station just 1 minute away at Rainbow Falls State Park. The site is located on a hill so you get very nice view of sunsets and sunrises. For those who enjoy bird watching the nearby fruit trees bring in many birds. We are an ideal location for those who love the outdoors or just want to have private family events. 6 mi from Jones Creek Brewing, 7 mi from Evey's Cafe & Pe Ell, 20 mi from I-5, 69 mi Westport Quiet hours are from 11pm - 8am.

About the site: This 17-foot 2005 Jay Feather Ultra Lite trailer is clean and cozy - perfect for one or two people. A third person is welcome, but it will likely be a little cramped. The double bed has a memory foam mattress and is made-up with quality sheets. Towels are provided at no extra cost. The kitchen has a 3 burner propane stove and oven, a small fridge, a microwave, and sink. Coffee, tea, tea kettle, French Press, creamer, and sugar are provided, as well as a few dishes, a pot and pan, and utensils. The spring water is sourced directly from our property and filtered, so you can enjoy it from the tap! In my opinion, it's some of the best water around - feel free to fill up before you depart. The site is set back from WA-State Route 106, but only by about 20 yards. There is traffic noise during the day, but it's not too bad, and it is typically pretty quiet at night. Hopefully you enjoy the sounds of wildlife ~ birds, lapping waves, and even a creek add to the experience. A panoramic view of the estuary is one of the best parts of this property. It's dreamy, really. With the tide changing every 6 hours, you just can't get bored. You may fall asleep to tide flats and wake up to what feels like a lake. If you like being on or in the water - bring some kayaks, surf or paddle boards, and some high quality water shoes (never go barefoot!). You will have access to 400 feet of private beach and tide flats. Kayaking is tide dependent - recommendations for paddle times will be in the binder. (Currently closed to harvesting 6/23) If you have your shellfish license, feel free to harvest a few oysters or clams (depending on DOH recommendations) . Be aware - it is a rustic beach, and it is across the highway, so watch for traffic and watch your step on the beach. Our house is within sight of the trailer, but you have to make an effort to see it. From our house, we can only see the parking spot, and due to shrubbery & a shed, we can't hear talking voices, so it is pretty private. This place is amazing, anytime of year! Always perfectly clean when we arrive, well maintained gravel, easy to open and close entry gates, large garbage dumpster area for disposal upon leaving. The view from site 5 is our favorite! Everything out this HipCamp is outstanding. This trip, we were the only ones here! Our 2 dogs were in Heaven! The stretch of private beach all to themselves! And we even had December blue skies! Pouring, sideways rain and hail too, but hey, that makes a 🌈, right? Thank you, Shelby, for your wonderful management of this property, and to the owners who continue to make it available to people like us! We have dibs if you ever decide to sell! lol 😉

Weekend Trip to Hairy Eagle Lookout 🦅

This was a lovely place to camp with an incredible view! Level parking for our 25 foot trailer. There is some slight highway 101 noise, but nothing that would keep us from returning. It was a misty weekend, so we hunkered in most of the time. The clouds amongst the trees made for a beautiful view. We enjoyed going into the very small town to the Tipsy Whale for nice cider and beers. Mostly, we toured around and enjoyed the sea lions, seals, and many birds.

I keep coming back here because i love to photograph eagles. The camper is so cozy and has everthing needed for a stay. It's also very clean and extremely safe for a solo traveler. Camas, the hipcamp owner, is the best!
