We're nestled in the pines, just off the highway. Our property is on a deeded piece of land within the Spokane Indian Reservation. We are 5 miles from Lake Roosevelt and the Fort Spokane boat launch. Lake Roosevelt is known for its excellent fishing, and is the only lake in Washington state that contains walleye! A small motel was built on this property back in 1998 and is consistently complemented on it's clean rooms and peaceful setting. Park your RV, overland rig, pitch a tent, or sleep under the stars next to the Coeur D’ Alene River. Be advised this is directly next to State Highway 3. If you are a light sleeper, or road noise bothers you, this is not the campsite for you. At the camp, you can launch your kayaks at the river to go for an adventure down through the Chain Lakes, all eight are accessible by the river adjacent to where you will sleep. The bird and wildlife watching in this area is world class. Ospreys, hawks, turkeys and other animals commonly hang out in these parts. You can go for a swim at one of the sandbars, take your dirt bikes or side by sides down Killarney Lake Road to access an extensive network of trails and dirt roads into remote wilderness. There is no cell service, no water or electrical hookups, or toilet. As beautiful as it is, your experience will not be “glamping” unless you come with all the comforts you personally desire. You can hunt on the forest service land by 4th of July Pass, fish on the river, or on the Chain Lakes (with the proper permits, of course). There is a access into the water from camp but it is quite steep. For easy access to the water, use the docks or boat launch at Killarney Lake or Bull Run. Pets and kids are allowed at your own risk. Be advised the highway and river are hazardous for off-leash animals and rambunctious toddlers. Please send a message if you have any questions. I am happy to help.

Hiking and biking, stargazing, kite flying, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Ski/snowboard at Schweitzer only 45 min drive to the mountain. Boat launch 2 miles away. A couple of mooring balls available, ask on availability. Shallow, soft, clay bottom. Two sandy beaches shared with Hipcampers and family. We have 4 kids. The beach with the dock between site 1 and 2 is also used by our family as well. Our place is a relaxed atmosphere and we enjoy meeting new campers visiting us. We do this because we enjoy sharing our space with others.

We loved staying at this HipCamp. It was one of the best locations we have stayed. Literally feet away from the Pend Oreille River, the views were amazing. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had to change our plans and they worked with HipCamp to get two nights refunded even though it was outside their cancellation policy. We would definitely stay here again.

Stewart and Shawna's waterfront camp was AMAZING! We had a wonderful time. The water was perfect for kids of all ages. We had a large group and they were so kind and accommodating and it made for a great family camp out. It was great to be able to bring our dogs with us as well and have them off leash to run around and swim with us. They had some super fun water toys by the dock that everyone loved to play on. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.

Great spot! Isolated and close to water. Water is fine to swim in as I think most bodies of water in this area have the same warnings just maybe not as concentrated? Idk, my husband and I didn’t grow any extra limbs or anything crazy! Plan to come back again soon :)

We were super happy to have found Native Pines! We had been boondocking our way through Washington but, when temps approached 100F, we decided we needed some A/C and a breather. While all the sites are 30amp only, it was still sufficient for keeping our big rig cool enough, and we were happy to have sewer to be able to do some laundry. The sites are nestled into a pocket in the woods behind (but out of site of) a motel. Our 44' fifth wheel had plenty of room to maneuver within the property as well as fit into one of the back-in sites. It was peaceful and within a 7 minute drive to a beautiful, riverfront park (Roosevelt National Rec Area on the Columbia River) where we did some paddleboarding. And, you can't beat the rate of $35! Thank you John and Michelle!

We loved camping the past five nights on the water! Stewart and Shawna were extremely accommodating and communicative. We had reached out very early in the spring and they allowed us to drive out to check out the space before hand to assure we would fit comfortably. I had booked sites 2&3; we brought a 33 foot travel trailer, and my mother brought a 40foot 5th wheel. The two sites together were mowed down and fit us very comfortably. Our teenagers even pitched a couple tents on site. We also brought a 23ft tritoon boat that was kept at the dock. The boat launch was only a five minute drive away and we kept our car and boat trailer at camp as well with no extra charge. This spot was so perfect spot for our family! The kids loved the beach, they used the lily pad and kayaks daily. My toddler really loved the shallow water near the beach. The property/land was quiet, relaxing and very peaceful at these sites. We boated to Sandpoint on the 4th for the firework show - that was about a 30-45min adventure each way. The only advice for future campers is to bring lots of bug spray and citronella candles. The mosquitoes are thick (expected since you are literally right on the water). Thank you for a great (long) weekend Stewart & Shawna!!

We camped at Native Pines for two nights over the 4th of July, and even then it was peaceful and quiet. We prefer to stay in campgrounds with few sites for that very reason. All the camp sites, arranged in a circle, were visible to us, but many of the other guests were gone during the day, returning in the evening. We had a great time there.
