We do not take late comers as we are a farm and are early to bed and early to rise. I'm sorry! We are the third generation in this location and the great grandparents had the adjoining property. My father was born and died in this house, and I was raised here also. After teaching for 32 years my husband and I inherited the farm from my folks who have since passed. There are no orchards left on the property but we are moving on with a vegetable and flower garden, goats, chickens and a llama. We have a gorgeous view of Lake Chelan but can only offer dry camping at this time. Our area has a multitude of things to do!

Plenty of room for the sunseekers wanting to play in the water on paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, and water skiing. An 18-hole Golf Course resides at the North end of the lake and white water rafting just a few miles down the hill on the Methow River. For the foodies, Chelan is just 30 miles south and Twisp/Winthrop is 40 miles to the North, also abundant with events, wineries, and shopping. My husband & I put a lot of blood sweat & tears into making this a place our kids would enjoy during our weekend vacations to Leavenworth. We love hiking & there are a ton of nearby hikes. Despite it being located on the other side of the train tracks, we always seem to have a good time. We hope you enjoy it too! Learn more about this land: Outdoor enthusiast will enjoy this glamp spot! Utilize the dry cabin equipped with two twin size beds, a pullout couch bed, a dining table with 4 chairs & extra seating. With plenty of space outdoors, feel free to pitch a tent or bring your RV for friends! It is a dry cabin meaning there is no running water. We have it powered with a solar panel which should give enough electricity to charge phones & lights as needed. There is also an outhouse with a compost bucket if you'd like to use that. The downside to this lovely parcel is it's on the opposite side of the train tracks, so there will be occasional noise. Maybe it adds to the uniqueness? Just keep that in mind as once in a blue moon, the train does stop so you may be stuck for a few minutes. Oh & those power lines sometimes make a crackling noise. Sometimes we notice it & other times we don't. Now that we got that out of the way, the pros are it's a great place to explore. There are a ton of nearby hikes. This spot is in between Stevens Pass & the famous Alps candy store, with each being about 15 mins away. There is a gas station/convenient store, a few diners, and a rest stop within 5 minutes. Historical Leavenworth is about 20 mins.  There is a spot for campfires, a small 2 burner propane stove & an ice chest for your convenience, but you will need to bring the propane.

Purchased in 2013 after a fire came through the area. We've spent the following years regenerating the land, planting trees, building our house and collecting places for people to rest their heads. Masabaje is the first two letters of each of our parents names (Margaret, Sandy, Barry, Jerry). We offer multiple listings - the cottage, a converted schoolbus, an Airstream, truck bed glamp pod and tent spot. Meet Birdy, a semi-converted Blue Bird school bus with a comfortable queen mattress, couch, two recliners, dry kitchen, cooking utensils, and camp stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 4 minute walk). Birdy sits at "Top Pond", farthest from the house in a super quiet and private spot. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). There is no electricity available in Birdy. Devices can be charged up at the house. There is also no heater in Birdy, overnight temperatures in September and October can dip down into the mid-low 40's or lower. Meet Tin Man, we found him after he had been in an accident. We bandaged him up and he became the first place to sleep when we bought our empty land. He has a comfortable double mattress, couch, chair, kitchen, cooking utensils, and two burner stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 30 second walk). Tin Man sits on our driveway round-a-bout and is closest to the house. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). Ellensburg is known for its wind and our land is just down from a wind farm. We cannot control the wind, but Birdy sits in a pretty wind protected oasis. Masabaje is a clothing optional space. We are less than 2 hours from Seattle, 1 hour to Yakima wine country, 40 minutes to Vantage, 40 minutes to Leavenworth, 50 minutes to Snoqualmie Pass, 15 minutes to Ellensburg, 25 minutes to Roslyn, 25 minutes to Yakima River Canyon for floating and hiking, and so much more!

Weekend Trip to Ascent Basecamp

We Loved: - SAUNA - friendly host and dog! - clear directions - firewood ready at our fire pit - (fools) gold in the river - very private site, river access - private bathroom with hot (short) shower Didn’t work for us: - 2 people in a suspended tent. It was an experience! We put a mat in the tent for comfort and insulation, which also meant we could only enter/exit out the side. We’re both tall and it was a jump to get in either way. This site is closer to the highway so the noise (and sometimes headlights) is a little more noticeable than the tent sites. - The trek to your fire pit is steep but there is a rope to hang on to. Be organized and you won’t have to go up/down when you forget things! Pack your whimsy and you’ll have a blast!

Weekend Trip to Ascent Basecamp

My family and I rented both floors of the cabin (Over the River and Through the Woods) over the 4th of July weekend. We are not big outdoor campers, so this was an incredible and unforgettable experience for us. The site was clean and well-maintained. You receive a key to access the bath house, which is shared with the other lodgers. We appreciated that Mark informed when the other party arrived. (P.S. turn off the water when shampooing/washing to maintain hot water and conserve energy!) Mark was communicative both before and throughout our stay, is available on site to answer questions/provide tips about the surrounding area. My favorite part was the communal aspects offered; being one with nature while having opportunities to chat with others sharing the space. I will never forget the rotation of: sauna, dip in river, hot tub. The window of the sauna overlooking the river alone is priceless, but with this rotation, nothing can compare. Can also 100% attest to the powerful river overpowering other campers. It was a restorative, healing trip that I would recommend to anyone and everyone - I know I'll be back!

Loved the views of the rolling hills and having the large tent all set up in a secluded spot. It was quite windy while we were there, and the tent was totally secure and provided great shelter. It was close to hiking trails and not far from town, so it was easy to get everywhere. We also saw epic rainbows at the campsite!

Beautiful property, beautiful home. The bed is comfortable, the flush toilet was a relief but it's nice to know you have a backup in the compost potty if you can't make it to the outhouse. Shower worked well, towels were provided! Pots and pans, cooking utensils were provided. Hammock by the river was a great spot to unwind after long hikes. We really loved this place.

Weekend Trip to Fox Hollow

Hidden just beyond the convenience of nearby Ronald, Fox Hollow is a great, zen-inducing getaway. Quiet, private, clean and comfortable with warm ambience and (maybe) a curious, fenced horse. Host was accommodating, communicative, and otherwise non-existent... in other words: excellent. Relatively small shower might be a challenge for taller folk.

The tiny home was such a sweet stay. It was quiet, clean, and cozy, with everything we needed. Short drive from The Gorge venue. The fridge stored our food staples, and we easily cooked breakfast with the kitchen set up. Hope to come back again <3

Weekend Trip to Redstead Riverfront

Beautiful tiny home made with love and great craftsmanship. I was surprised to find it equipo with a stove and small fridge. The home felt cozy but not too tiny. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the river go by. Peaceful solitude along the river. We enjoyed the visits from two friendly cats and a beautiful friendly pet dog. We were able to climb the ladder to the comfortable loft bed that has an amazing view of the river. Might not be easy for older folks or someone with an injury but we did just fine. The host and his family were welcoming but also gave us privacy. It was the perfect place for us to stay while we visited Twisp.

It’s our third time staying here but our first time at Birdy. Loved being greeted by Pluto and Sun. Our 2 year old loved Birdy! She’s been wanting to ride on a bus. The surroundings are lovely and the mattress was comfortable. It is a very basic set up but we were aware of that. Will be happy to return. Thanks so much!

The property was lovely, the hosts were very kind and accommodating, and I’d come back in a heartbeat! Loowit has a little heat stove inside the tent so you stay toasty year round!
