Down the road about 1/4 mile is Velvet Acres barn where you can buy fresh produce in July, August and September, then in October it's a Pumpkin Patch. Be sure while you’re here you visit Vancouvers waterfront downtown. Great shops and excellent places to eat. On weekends there’s a large farmers market that has all kinds of fresh produce. While here be sure to drive out to the gorge, it is one of the more breathtaking sites in the NW. We are 10 miles from the Columbia River and 36 miles from Multnomah Falls. On a nice day you can drive to the beach to cool off, it's about 90 miles to Longbeach. Being in the wetlands we have a lot of trees for privacy. The RV area is at the end of an area that is gated for security. There is a grassy area outside your door and a grassy area out back of your RV. We have trails you are welcome to use. You will see bunnies and all kinds of birds as well as deer that visit now and then. Although they have built homes on the west side the fence and trees give plenty of privacy. My husband and I loved staying at Trent's cabin! We were looking for a quiet, romantic getaway where we could take long walks in the woods and relax in a comfortable cabin at night. The wood stove hot tub was amazing. Trent was a great host and was very attentive to our needs while also making sure we had all the privacy that we could want. I would stay here again anytime!

1 night at Red Cloud Ranch

My wife and I only stayed one night in the “glamping pod with gorgeous views at Red Cloud Ranch” and the description and pictures are exactly as described on their Hipcamp listing. It was very cozy with a small heater and all the bedding you need. Shannon provided great directions and met us when we arrived, she was super nice and helpful. The drive to the property is pretty magical on a clear day with easterly views of Mt. Hood and cute black cows dotting the sides of their road. It wasn’t a problem for us but worth noting that there is 3-4 mile gravel and dirt road leading up to the property. Also, at the time of this review, there was no shower which we were aware of. If we were staying more than one night glamping, a shower would be a great addition. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay would definitely come back if we were in the area again!

Our family had such a great time on the river. Even though we got some rain everyday we put our paddle boards in the water from the dock and played. The river is super peaceful and you get to see and hear lots of birds. We lucked out and had the whole place to ourselves even. Really nice to have the provided Adirondack chairs for around the campfire and watching the river too. Hosts were always very quick to respond and helpful. Road and property clean, well maintained and so was the port-o-potty on site. We even visited their horses to say hello for change of scene one afternoon. Mostly though we relaxed in the camp area and enjoyed the river. Will return for sure.

My husband and I had a great stay at Travis’ place. It was clean, remote and in a quiet neighborhood. We saw a deer, rabbit, and lots of squirrels. We would stay here again and recommend to others looking for a place to stay in the area.

Wonderful experience and great place especially if you’re looking to escape the city for a few days! The animals and garden was pretty awesome and getting to pick eggs and eat our own green beans was super fun. The host was fantastic too. Very accommodating and friendly. 5 stars would recommend.

This was an amazing experience!! Handsfull farm is a beautiful property that is so spacious but somehow feels so cozy and wonderful at there same time. my partner and I were planning some things to do around the area but ended up staying our full two days at the farm because there was so much to do. I felt so so welcome by everyone there. it's really clear that they really care about the guest experience. The glamping spot by the creek is also super private, it feels like you have your own forest to explore. Pictures cannot do it justice! I can't wait to return!!

What a beautiful property! All the sites were really spread out and we had so much space to ourselves. Overall, it was very quiet and peaceful. We loved spending time at the river and the shared beach area and there were a lot of places to walk and explore. I would recommend arriving in the daytime as this site isn't as well marked as some of the other sites. No picnic table or sign to really label it as a campsite. The bathroom is a bit further from this site as well if that is important to you.

i loved this trip so much!! #bestcampingtripever made some core memories with my nephews swimming in the river, playing in the hammock, and playing hide n seek tag at night :) we love how the fire pit is right by the water, the sites feel so private, and the portpotties are clean! also we got to feed the horses carrots that we brought ::))

2 nights at The Hummingbird Homestead

This is the best location we've stayed at so far. Quiet, flat spot with power and water. Host provided table and chairs. Really couldn't ask for more.

Weekend Trip to Justesen Ranches

Nice spot. We used it as a home base for rafting day trips on the Deschutes. About 20 minutes from Sandy Beach. Felt very private and a short walk across the road to hang by White River. Freshly cleaned porto potty. We would stay again. Host warned us about yellow jackets and they were bad. Brought a trap to add to about 6 others already hanging and had to eat in screened in tent. Pretty typical in field like that in late summer in the area though.

100% recommend staying here! The location is nice. Plenty of activities around, but also the perfect place to just stay in. The property is gorgeous and they thought of everything! It’s so secluded and cozy, the hosts are amazing and made sure we had everything we needed and more. You get far more than just a place to stay, you get a whole experience. We plan to make this place a tradition.
