Come on up to a magical dreamland in the forest on a winding river! We welcome you to a secluded, yet accessible getaway. You will walk down a winding trail with moss draping from the old forest firs and emerge to an opening in the forest with a welcoming large rock patio, fire ring and well accommodated 20 ft yurt. You can then creep along the trail further and come upon a nice flat, comfy greenery area to pitch multitudes of tents, have a swing in the hammocks, or play some yard games. And yet the magic does not end-- emerge further down the hill and you will come upon the glorious North Fork of the Stillaguamish River. It is mighty during the winter months, but flows to a slow and shallow trickle during the summer making it a wonderful place for romping of children and pets alike. There is also some swim holes if you need to truly cool your skin down. The flowing Stilly has blessed us with a very large sand bar on our side of the river which has an abundance of flat, soft sand to pitch more tents on, and also build castles in for the littles. Lastly, don't forget to catch the fantastic view of White Horse Mountain from the two seats that overlook the river! Catch it during the day or during the night with the moon in front of the mountain. You will never forget it! This is an off-grid property. Please bring your own drinking water. Your private getaway is secluded from the rest of the farm life but you are welcome to visit and partake in whatever the farm offers. We have Nigerian dwarf goats, apples, pears, plums, blackberries & Iris to enjoy. Wild animals abound. There are walking/biking trails right around the corner and you are 15 minutes from downtown, the ocean and enjoying sports like kayaking, swimming, whale watching, etc. Our glamping sites are completely off grid. Enjoy simplicity in comfortable luxury! We are dog friendly, and we require all guests to clean up after their dogs. There are plastic bags provided for animal waste disposal when dogs are in the backyard and on neighborhood walks. Cleaning up after pets includes excess pet hair, especially on furniture. Please use the waterproof pet blanket provided for the sofa and bed. Guests bring the animal onto the property at their own risk. The booking guest is liable for any damages that pets cause. (We will have to charge a cleaning fee if your dog leaves behind a mess or causes damage.) We find that most people are cooperative and responsible with their pets. We love traveling with our fur babies, and would like to keep allowing pets in our listings. Thank you for being understanding and working with us to keep our rental available to pets! Rules for dogs: 1. We do NOT have a fenced yard or space. If you have a dog that will wander, we require you to keep your dog on a leash or a lead. 2. What a lovely experience! Beth was so communicative and answered our questions. The yurt had a super cozy bed! You can stay here even if it’s chilly - the evenings were cold BUT the accessible campfire and super warm and cozy bed kept us warm! It is absolutely feasible in chillier weather, just be prepared! Her husband helped us out with some firewood as we hadn’t had a chance to buy any and he also kindly shared some homegrown apples with us on our way out! Clean bathroom, peaceful environment, and 2 lovely dogs! Will absolutely stay again when we find ourselves in the area. Thanks! :)

Weekend Trip to Hobson Meadows

Two of us stayed here for one night. We live in Seattle and it was a perfect place to stay after spending the day in Bellingham. We arrived after sunset and our host quickly came outside to help guide us to our yurt, which was so appreciated. It was raining on and off throughout our stay, but we stayed dry and the bed was unexpectedly comfortable. The only suggestion I have is to add another large rug inside for warmth and coziness. We’ll be back again, hopefully for longer!

I stayed in the Elderberry yurt with my girlfriend and the place was absolutely stunning. It was decorated so cute and cozy inside the yurt, it made for such a calming, magical moment inside when it rained. Also, having a flushable toilet is HUUUUGEEE. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and upkept daily. Definitely made things a lot easier. The campsite was incredibly spacious and there was plenty of room to sunbathe, eat, and relax. Beth and her husband were so generous and accommodating. They were so ready to jump at anything we needed, like extra blankets or firewood. They’re definitely one of the nicest people we’ve ever met. The campsite is also close enough to town to be able to grab anything from the store if need be, which was super helpful. We will definitely be coming back to such a gorgeous place. Definitely made our weekend very memorable.

Fun evening on a horse farm. The yurt was small and cozy - just enough space for the queen air mattress and two small single pads. We enjoyed watching the horses, loved the mountain view at sunset, and had a fun campfire. A few things to help future travelers. It's a big property, so I was glad I messaged the host beforehand to ask directions to the yurt. We couldn't find the restroom, so I had to knock on the door at the house to get directions (it's in the center entrance of the horse barn). We also weren't sure where to get water and never found the petting farm area with small animals. It would be helpful if the host made a map of the property to show guests where things are.

Weekend Trip to Juliane Henry’s Equestrian

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Juliane's ranch! The yurt was clean and had comfortable mattresses waiting for us. The place is especially magical if you have little ones. My 5 year old was in heaven being surrounded by horses and visiting the petting zoo. Right across from the driveway is a short path to take a dip in the river. We did get a lot of bug bites even with bug spray, but that's just how it goes sometimes. We also scheduled a horseback & pony ride for the morning after which was absolutely wonderful. The view of Mt. Si from camp is Hosts were warm and friendly, and my daughter won't stop asking when we can go back. Thank you for having us!

The yurt was so cozy and the area was secluded which made it easy to relax. The amenities such as a solar shower, grill and compostable toilet area with a pump sink is perfect for those who are not so comfortable with tent camping. The yurt is on the smaller side but it was enough room for my partner, myself and our pups! We enjoyed coming back to this area after exploring Bellingham and going for a swim at the nearby lakes. The directions were clear and we would definitely stay again :)

We really enjoyed our stay here. The area was beautiful and peaceful and the hurt was comfortable. My husband and I were bikepacking so it was nice to have a break from setting up the tent. I let the host know ahead of time that we would be arriving late and she told me where everything was on the property. We would definitely stay here again.

Well appointed yurt, nice bathroom and cozy shower. Full kitchen with all needed amenities. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching birds and squirrels. Host has games and a movie viewer available which was nice on a rainy day. Parking is sufficient for one car. Some traffic noise as close to major highway. Overall a pleasant experience.

Weekend Trip to Juliane Henry’s Equestrian

My kids and I loved this quick little getaway to the mountains! The yurt had plenty of room for all of us. The views are spectacular and there was no boredom found with a play set and animals to look at and pet, like goats, bunnies, pigs, horses and more! Juliane even gave both my kiddos a pony ride! Right across the road there’s a peaceful spot right on the river to hang out with and the location is super close to town for dining and shopping. Highly recommend!
