The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries. You can fish and float the river. There are no trails so a moderate level of fitness and comfort in the forest is needed. You can follow the water ways but it is wilderness. Fern Yabin (a hard sided yurt) is nestled in a forest on a ridge (Elk Ridge) directly across from the Maryland Appalachian Trail. We are tucked down in a holler surrounded by streams, towering Poplars, wildlife and dappled sunshine. The land hosts some animals - a goat, dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks while growing medicinal plants, seasonal edible berries/fruits (wineberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, mulberries, elderberries, vine kiwi, pawpaw, etc.) and rocks (plenty of them). There is a couple of acres enclosed with an electric fence where the livestock guardian dog (Luna) roams with the animals. We also sell farm fresh eggs. Fern Yabin is a rustic hard sided yurt style cabin that has hot and cold water, composting toilet, outdoor shower (cold water only), a indoor soaking tub, hot water kettle, an outdoor propane grill, ceiling fan, outdoor patio and fire pit, skylight, WiFi, and lots of character. The Yabin was a true labor of love built as a collective effort in community. There is a designated parking spot and a gravel path (moderate decline) that leads down to the Yabin. If you are a thru hiker, drop off and pick up is available for a fee. Please inquire upon booking. We are 10 minutes to the Appalachian Trail (Weverton Cliffs/Gathland SP and Crampton Gap) and the Potomac/Shenandoah Rivers (great for tubing/kayaking/wading/swimming). There are outdoor outfitters within 15 minutes where all kinds of wonderful adventures await including a brewery with a stunning vista of the river and area. We are 15 minutes away from historic Harpers Ferry. Antietam National Battlefield and other historic sites are within 30 minutes. Located just minutes from Shenandoah National Park, we offer intimate nature-inspired cottages and camping on our 120-acre working farm. Enjoy an evening under the stars with fireflies and a campfire after a long day hike, fly fishing on one of our beautiful trout steams or touring the local vineyards and breweries. We currently offer one cottage, glamping and a few campsites for our guests. Our campsites are all private, located acres apart with tables, chairs, firepits, some elevated sleeping areas, some hammock spots and a few with a roof. Three of our spots require walking away from your vehicle, short distances. We have four drive-in sites that will accommodate two or three vehicles. We do not allow RVs or trailers on our main farm due to our narrow mountain driveway. Wisteria Camp has a private driveway, it can accommodate small RV/Trailers. Camper vans are welcome at the main farm! Our farm store includes our Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy, as well as produce, jams, coffee and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours. The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries. Fern Yabin is a rustic hard sided yurt style cabin that has hot and cold water, composting toilet, outdoor shower (cold water only), a indoor soaking tub, hot water kettle, an outdoor propane grill, ceiling fan, outdoor patio and fire pit, skylight, WiFi, and lots of character. The Yabin was a true labor of love built as a collective effort in community. There is a designated parking spot and a gravel path (moderate decline) that leads down to the Yabin. We are 10 minutes to the Appalachian Trail (Weverton Cliffs/Gathland SP and Crampton Gap) and the Potomac/Shenandoah Rivers (great for tubing/kayaking/wading/swimming). Fern Yabin (a hard sided yurt) is nestled in a forest on a ridge (Elk Ridge) directly across from the Maryland Appalachian Trail. We are tucked down in a holler surrounded by streams, towering Poplars, wildlife and dappled sunshine. The land hosts some animals - a goat, dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks while growing medicinal plants, seasonal edible berries/fruits (wineberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, mulberries, elderberries, vine kiwi, pawpaw, etc.) and rocks (plenty of them). There is a couple of acres enclosed with an electric fence where the livestock guardian dog (Luna) roams with the animals. We also sell farm fresh eggs. Fern Yabin is a rustic hard sided yurt style cabin that has hot and cold water, composting toilet, outdoor shower (cold water only), a indoor soaking tub, hot water kettle, an outdoor propane grill, ceiling fan, outdoor patio and fire pit, skylight, WiFi, and lots of character. The Yabin was a true labor of love built as a collective effort in community. There is a designated parking spot and a gravel path (moderate decline) that leads down to the Yabin. If you are a thru hiker, drop off and pick up is available for a fee. Please inquire upon booking. We are 10 minutes to the Appalachian Trail (Weverton Cliffs/Gathland SP and Crampton Gap) and the Potomac/Shenandoah Rivers (great for tubing/kayaking/wading/swimming). My husband, daughter, and I stayed here over the weekend. The location was peaceful and absolutely gorgeous with the autumn leaves. The cabin was cozy, and the accommodations were pleasant. The bathhouse was well kept, clean, and maintained. We hung out with our cabin neighbors over a bonfire, and the whole experience was memorable. We will definitly be coming here again.

My fiancee and I had a lovely and relaxing stay at this glamping site. It was beautiful and scenic, and the stars really came out and popped at night when the skies were clear. There is a toilet right behind the tent and a shower on site, as well as wifi provided, which is very convenient. Jud was incredible and very accommodating for all of our needs. We had a great time time chatting with him about how he arrived to the area and he gave great recommendations on things to do / check out nearby. We are already planning our next trip back, next time with more of our friends! Lovely stay - couldn't recommend enough.

Had a fantastic time! Amazing value for the money. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Loved having a kitchen, shower, private bathroom, fire pit, outdoor propane grill, plenty of outdoor seating and a nice bed in a heated RV all for less than some local campgrounds charge for an empty cabin with no amenities. Steve is a great host as well. Checked in via messages to see if we needed anything, made sure we were comfortable despite the weather getting near freezing at night, then left us to ourselves to enjoy our weekend. It was the perfect retreat away from the city. Crisp Fall nights, starry skies and a crackling campfire. It doesn’t get any better than that!

We absolutely loved staying here. It was "roughing it" without really "roughing it". I.e., we had access to a toilet and an actual bed. The night we arrived was unseasonably cold, but a propane heater was provided and the bed was warm, cozy and really felt luxurious. So comfy! Jud taught us about the berries on the bushes that kids loved to eat and also feed the goats with. The location was perfect too. Allowed us to be flexible with our plans since hikes and other attractions were abundant, some as close as minutes away. Has easily become one of our favorite places to camp.

We really loved our stay here, such a beautiful location! There’s already a fire pit, grill, hammock and table which is great. Camp cats are a plus for us!!! Usually we tent camp but we have a baby and with the cold nights/mornings this time of year, this was perfect. Loved being close to showers and restrooms - only downfall was people from another location drove multiple cars down and used our already shared bathhouse. The first night was fine as this didn’t happen but the second night and morning there was at least 10 additional people which really made it difficult. We left an hour later than planned because they filled the bathhouse our morning of departure and we had to wait for them to leave. Not sure if this is typical but that was a negative for us as it’s already shared with other cabins.

Absolutely perfect stay, and the hosts were so considerate! A space heater was on when I arrived, and the fire pit area was thoughtfully set up with all the supplies you need like split wood, kindling, and paper. So much more was provided, and we really appreciated it. My only tip - if you’re quite tall…maybe 5’10 or 5’11+, the sleeping areas might be cramped. But it was perfect for me at 5’4-5’5. The twin beds are a bit longer. Stella and Sinatra are the sweetest farm dogs too.

We had a great experience glamping. Everything you foul ever need had been thought of and provided. The host gave us a warm welcome and provided detailed instructions. We are used to camping so having a bed and toilet was quite the treat. First night got down to 45 and there was a small propane heater we used to heat the tent before bed and when we woke up so we were quite warm. The land and area are beautiful and we enjoyed the plentiful stars. Blue quartz winery/brewery was truly at the end of the road and we had a fabulous evening with more views there after hiking in Shenandoah National Park. Definitely would recommend the stay to others and hope to come back soon!

In a nutshell, we loved the Yabin! The property is very laid-back and accessible. The cozy outside area with a fire pit and seating area is right outside the door of the Yabin. It is much bigger and more sturdy than we imagined. So much space with many nice touches. The woodstove kept everything nice and cozy overnight. The beds were so comfortable! Andrea could not be more accommodating and she is very communicative. If you decide to book, before you pack for your trip, make sure you check with Andrea.
