Escape the chaos of everyday life and experience true relaxation at our hidden gem glamping site! The Indian Rail Trail, Charles County's most exciting recreational trail, is just a 7-minute drive from your tent. This paved, 13-mile-long, ten-foot-wide path is an excellent excursion for bikers of all ages, connecting the small town of Indian Head on the Potomac River to White Plains. The fairly level trail takes riders through mature forests, natural wetlands, and some farmland. During your stay, you can also take a 10-minute walk through the forest on our property to visit a serene creek. Your Signature campsite accommodates up to 6-10 campers. The basic booking includes space for 4 campers, with 2 sleeping on the Queen Bed in the platform safari tent and 2 sleeping in bags on the floor. The site also features a picnic table, fire pit, and Adirondack chairs where you can relax and stargaze at night. Atlantic Kayak Company is a 20-minute drive from the site, offering kayak rentals and guided expeditions. For families, Sky Zone Trampoline Park is a fun activity less than a 10-minute drive from the campsite. A Walmart is conveniently located about 10 minutes away for any supplies you may need, and local produce can be obtained on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the La Plata Farmer's Market (12 min drive) between April and November. The Road To Serenity: Our road is a quaint old country farm road made of grass and a few gravel patches here and there. It is a bit of a bumpy ride, so take it slow and easy as you make your way to our hidden getaway. There is one sharp left turn over a culvert and some dips and mild inclines, so low-sitting vehicles should definitely take it slow. The road narrows as you get closer to the site, but there are reflectors along the way to keep you on the right path. We highly recommend arriving before dark. Parking: Parking is on the grass meadow between the entrance to the meadow and the walking path to the campsite. Reflectors are in place to outline the parking area. Avoid driving beyond the parking area and down steep inclines in the meadow, as softer ground presents a risk for getting stuck. A gorilla wagon is available in the parking area to help transport your belongings to the campsite. Toilet and Shower Set-up: There is a privacy tent that contains a toilet seat over a bucket. Place a bag with absorbent materials in the bucket for your biological needs. A portable automatic shower providing hot water is also available. Pets: For the safety of your pets, ensure that they are treated for ticks prior to camping. Be sure to check for ticks before bringing pets into the tent. Noises and Sounds: This property is located in a rural community, and campers may occasionally experience common city noises such as airplanes flying overhead, distant traffic, or distant firearm shots. It is a great site for city dwellers who enjoy tranquility but not complete silence.

A gorilla wagon is available in the parking area to help transport your belongings to the campsite. Toilet and Shower Set-up: There is a privacy tent that contains a toilet seat over a bucket. Place a bag with absorbent materials in the bucket for your biological needs. A portable automatic shower providing hot water is also available. Pets: For the safety of your pets, ensure that they are treated for ticks prior to camping. Be sure to check for ticks before bringing pets into the tent. Noises and Sounds: This property is located in a rural community, and campers may occasionally experience common city noises such as airplanes flying overhead, distant traffic, or distant firearm shots. We loved our stay at Gracie’s Place. It’s a rustic and romantic cabin tucked in the woods, perfect for a quiet weekend escape. The host was incredibly thoughtful—he had everything we needed ready for us, including paper towels, water, firewood, and even a wine bottle opener. The cabin itself was cozy and charming. The bed was very comfy and the personal balcony gave us a sense of tranquility, surrounded by nature. It felt peaceful and remote while still being close enough to town and stores for quick trips. The only drawback is there’s a house nearby with a partial view into the curtainless window which took away a bit of our privacy. Still, the atmosphere was romantic and relaxing overall and we’d absolutely recommend this stay.

We had such a wonderful stay at Matt’s cabin! It perfectly blends the charm of the outdoors with the comfort of essential amenities. The setting was peaceful and secluded, surrounded by trees and nature sounds. The owner’s house was close behind but we didn’t hear any noise and everything still felt very private. He made sure we had everything we needed and showed us where to get firewood. We loved sipping coffee on the porch in the morning and stargazing by the fire at night. Even though it felt “off the grid,” everything was clean, comfortable, and easy to use — from the bathroom setup in the parking area and outdoor kitchen, to the heat/AC and hot shower! You can tell Matt put a lot of care into making guests feel welcome and at home. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway that offers both rustic charm and a touch of glamping, this cabin is it. We can’t wait to come back!

Loved staying at this little slice of heaven. Our host Matt was so accommodating and provided us with firewood and great vibes! He was great with our dog too. The cabin we stayed in was perfect - the bed was lofted with plenty of storage underneath for camp stuff. The shower had a skylight and hot water! And our view was fantastic, as the cabin is lofted up with big windows so all you can see are trees when you’re in bed. Had ac and heat, as well as a big jug of water. We will definitely be coming back, this was the perfect escape from the city. Fire pit was great too!

Matt's place is super cozy, clean, and well supplied. There's a little fire ring just outside the cabin, and the port-a-john is just a brief walk down the hill next to the parking pad. He has a countertop grill just outside the cabin that was perfect for cooking up meals. The bed was comfortable and it was lovely to wake up with views of the trees. Matt was a warm and welcoming host and very easy to communicate with. Great spot for thru hikers, or a quick visit to the Harper's Ferry area.

There were a lot of thoughtful touches, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the backyard was really nice. The hot tub was clean enough and worked well and the fire pit was lovely. The place felt a lot bigger than the pictures implied! The hosts communicated well enough, except missing the text that one of the two toilets was broken. Other notes: It is really three, full- or queen-sized beds + one very small mattress above the bed in the basement. It could technically fit 7 people if everyone shared beds except one small person, who slept on the small mattress above. The basement bathroom was iffy, with only a small spray of water in the shower, a toilet that didn't work while we were there, and a door that doesn't fully close.

Perfect stop over during my road-trip. It’s very clean, cozy, and convenient. I put my perishables and ice packs in the little fridge/freezer. Boiled water for my tea and instant soup. My dog and I enjoyed visiting with the horses and having a nice walk around the farm. Nighttime was peaceful and quiet for stargazing and getting good rest. Highly recommend as a pet-friendly place to stay.

This is my second time at Cross Creek tiny house. I had a restful, peaceful, safe stay here with my doggie. Place was clean, well stocked, comfortable bedding and towels, and easy access since I could drive up to the site. Host is friendly, communicative, and welcoming, definitely recommend to a fellow traveller. I could walk my dog around the property, the horses were such a calming presence, and nighttime was quiet and easy to get a good night’s sleep. Highly recommend!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in the RV! It was myself, one other person and our 3 dogs. We came from a city area up north looking for a secluded, peaceful getaway and we found it. Josh was an excellent host! The RV was spacious, well stocked and comfortable. We were close to activities in nearby towns as well. We enjoyed sitting by the fire and looking up at the stars outside the RV. We would definitely like to plan a future stay here.

The Indian Rail Trail, Charles County's most exciting recreational trail, is just a 7-minute drive from your tent. This paved, 13-mile-long, ten-foot-wide path is an excellent excursion for bikers of all ages, connecting the small town of Indian Head on the Potomac River to White Plains. The fairly level trail takes riders through mature forests, natural wetlands, and some farmland. During your stay, you can also take a 10-minute walk through the forest on our property to visit a serene creek. Your Signature campsite accommodates up to 6-10 campers. The basic booking includes space for 4 campers, with 2 sleeping on the Queen Bed in the platform safari tent and 2 sleeping in bags on the floor. The site also features a picnic table, fire pit, and Adirondack chairs where you can relax and stargaze at night. Atlantic Kayak Company is a 20-minute drive from the site, offering kayak rentals and guided expeditions. For families, Sky Zone Trampoline Park is a fun activity less than a 10-minute drive from the campsite. A Walmart is conveniently located about 10 minutes away for any supplies you may need, and local produce can be obtained on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the La Plata Farmer's Market (12 min drive) between April and November. The Road To Serenity: Our road is a quaint old country farm road made of grass and a few gravel patches here and there. It is a bit of a bumpy ride, so take it slow and easy as you make your way to our hidden getaway. There is one sharp left turn over a culvert and some dips and mild inclines, so low-sitting vehicles should definitely take it slow. The road narrows as you get closer to the site, but there are reflectors along the way to keep you on the right path. We highly recommend arriving before dark.
