The firefly is comfortable for a small family or a romantic get away for couples. The creek is stocked with trout, with easy access along the creek, perfect for wading, floating, and relaxing to the noise. Firefly has a camp style charcoal grill, a firepit with lots of firewood, a wood pellet stove on the covered deck for grilling when its rainy outside, a wood pellet fireplace for heat, outside shower with hot water, a comfy queen size memory foam bed, fresh linens and towels, and an outside bathtub situated by the creek. it has running water and a composting toilet and there is an unattached bathhouse with a conventional toilet and an outside shower as well. The place is a little hard to find but if you’re coming off interstate 81 just find Bojangles and go past Bojangles(comes to your left) into the small town and take the first left at the first red light. You will see the gravel road to your right right there.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mother Earth and our dog did too. Beautiful views , peaceful very secluded with all the comfort of home. We love the way they set up the yurt really cool how they decorated and designed it inside and out, romantic and fun, nice fire pit with wood provided, wrap around deck with hot tub and seating picnic table & rockers, spacious bathroom, very clean, we would definitely go back and highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Magical Riverside Yurt w/hot tub
Our absolutely wonderful 10 Wedding Anniversary stay at Magical Riverside Yurt by JoDee, was the getaway we needed. Laid back, private, peaceful and amazingly well stocked with almost everything you'd ever want. The coffee bar was amazing. Sitting in the hot tub while looking at the billions of stars with the full Milky Way overhead was epic. Our first time staying in a Yurt was a pleasure. I had no idea it would be so comfortable and accommodating. JoDee has I think 5 different properties to choose from. Make sure to check out this well deserved Super Host.

I loved staying here! The tent was very nice and had everything I needed! It was a little cold at night while I was there, but the pellet heater helped keep the space warm! I loved being right on the creek too and hearing the water while laying in bed and relaxing in the hammock! I can’t wait to come back!

Stayed on a long weekend with my partner and our two dogs and can’t overstate what an amazing space Jodee has created. It delivered everything we were initially looking for: a great space for the dogs to run around and play, a creek to wade/fish, living amenities (kitchen, bathroom, ac/heat, bed), great views, and a place to unwind (hot tub/firepit/hammock). What we didn’t expect was how much attention to detail and well curated everything was in an unassuming yurt. Everything, from the arrangements of the stones in the firepit to the hippy decor, felt so well curated and thoughtfully put together. Throughout our stay we would find more little details that really just helped us fall more in love with the place. Jodee was a great host, available for anything we may have needed while we still had all the privacy we needed.
If you’re looking for a relaxing/private outdoor space with all the amenities of an indoor space, then this is the place to be. We were absolutely enchanted by our stay and fully intend to spend another magical weekend here again.
Tip: Renting the side by side is a fun way to explore the area! A lot of hilly backroads to ride along while seeing local wild life and neighborhoods. The best part was our big dogs were able to sit in the back and enjoy the ride after playing in the creek all day.

I booked mother Earth to celebrate a birthday and anniversary celebration. We could not have been any happier with the yurt. It had about anything that you could need. It was decorated in such a thoughtful and beautiful way. You could tell that a lot of thought and Care was put into the decorations. Everything was really clean when we got there. We were also pleasantly surprised that jodee put up a happy birthday banner for my boyfriend and also wrote a little sign for us. Wishing us a happy birthday/ anniversary. We would 100% book this again.
