We are a Nature Retreat bordering Nature Conservancy land along a tributary and up and down the Rappahannock River. You can hike along the stream down to the river and up and down the river. You can fish and float the river. There are no trails so a moderate level of fitness and comfort in the forest is needed.
You can follow the water ways but it is wilderness. Camping there is primitive but available or you can camp or glamp at Earthwalk Ways Retreat. We are also adjacent to a 50 acre farm on the other side of the creek that is available for hiking. There is a reservoir nearby as well.
We are in the midst of the suburbs not far from Fredericksburg, which has some great historic and community places of interest.
Our facilities are private and we only rent to one or 2 guests at a time. You can glamp in a trailer, or car camp in a nice campground with power and water or you can go primitive and pack in. All spaces include access to our classical 11 circuit labyrinth and backyard gardens where you can enjoy zen rock garden and other contemplative nature crafts. There are some great extra's here as well including an outdoor jacuzzi and indoor infrared sauna and massage chair. These spa features are another great way to get your zen on here. I offer Forest Bathing and individual retreat support sessions, an quarterly sweat lodge and also vision quest support if people would like to experience a solo nature immersion feast.

Welcome to our small Farm, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Madison County, Virginia. Located just minutes from Shenandoah National Park, we offer intimate nature-inspired cottages and camping on our 120-acre working farm. Enjoy an evening under the stars with fireflies and a campfire after a long day hike, fly fishing on one of our beautiful trout steams or touring the local vineyards and breweries.
We currently offer one cottage, glamping and a few campsites for our guests. Our campsites are all private, located acres apart with tables, chairs, firepits, some elevated sleeping areas, some hammock spots and a few with a roof. Three of our spots require walking away from your vehicle, short distances. We have four drive-in sites that will accommodate two or three vehicles. We do not allow RVs or trailers on our main farm due to our narrow mountain driveway. Wisteria Camp has a private driveway, it can accommodate small RV/Trailers. Camper vans are welcome at the main farm!
Our farm store includes our Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy, as well as produce, jams, coffee and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours.
The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries.

The house was so cute a cozy. It is a real house with electricity, internet, TV, dvd player, and Netflix, a full kitchen, and the bathroom is right beside the upstairs bedroom. The view from the bed in the morning was a beautiful huge tree in the field. Down the hill is a very large pond. I can see a float and canoes that would be great in the summer. There is a huge pavilion beside the lake with couches, a long table, chairs, a grill, and a refrigerator. There are two outside RV toilet stalls at the lake too. When I drove in I saw horses in a field and a little donkey running around, playing in a a pen. I stopped and watched. Close to the house they have goats in a pen and they wanted me to pat them. The owner, Maria, told me I could. She also has a pig and chickens. I enjoyed the solitude but this place would be wonderful for a family outing or corporate retreat. I forgot a few things, so Maria directed me to a nearby Walmart in Tappahannock. I highly recommend a stay at Maria's farm.

Had a great time!! It is a very special property and Jennifer was kind to show us the animals and tell us more about the history. The little cabin was comfortable and had all the basic cooking items we needed as well as plenty of water for dishes/handwashing! We enjoyed a complimentary wine tasting at a nearby winery that Jennifer gave us, but overall just hung out at the property and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Also, the outhouse is difficult to see if you arrive at night, but it is there, just a few feet off the trail by the solar lights :)

We absolutely loved staying in the Moonshine Camp on Jennifer's beautiful land! It was completely private and tucked in the lush woods behind her wonderful farm. We loved the beautiful ferns surrounding the camp, the very comfortable bed, and all of the personal touches added to the cabin. Future guests should be aware there is no electricity or cell service, so bring a power bank and get ready to disconnect. Jennifer provided all the basic amenities to make our stay cozy and homie. We loved meeting and interacting with all of the friendly animals on the farm - highly recommend the snacks and cuddles add-on if you have the time!

We stayed in Moonshine, a little cabin. It was private, small and quaint. Beautiful remote setting on cute farm with animals who could be characters in a storybook. Bed was comfortable and sheets were soft.

This was such a lovely place to stay after spending the day in the Shenandoah! We felt immersed in nature, able to listen to the trees and birds, but also felt so cozy in the little cabin. We also got to meet the dogs and goats and help feed the farm birds which was very fun :)

The site surrounding the cabin was beautiful. Although we did not end up using it, the fire pit with included cookware looked extremely useful, as well as the bear proof cooler. We were able to stay warm with the provided blankets, and had an amazing time relaxing in the woods. The host is extremely friendly. I would 100% recommend.

The rental space and land were both beautiful. We couldn’t see another house from the rental - it looked out onto trees, a field, and well maintained grassy space that we and our dog enjoyed! The house was perfect for our group and the hosts very responsive. We would 100% stay again!

1 night at Watercress Inn at Landon Farm
My husband and I really enjoyed staying here. Jennifer was quick to respond and they had very clear directions. Very comfortable bed and private area. I would definitely recommend this place. It was only 15 minutes from the hike we were doing early in the morning so it was perfect!

Had a lovely stay!! This was such a nice spot, an easy walk from the car but tucked away for some privacy. It was a great setup and super comfortable. I was greeted by a very sweet dog and it was fun to walk around and see all the other animals around. I really enjoyed my time here! Plus it’s an easy drive into the park.

Weekend Trip to Watercress Inn at Landon Farm
We loved the Moonshine Cabin. The bed was firm and comfortable and the down comforter and layers of blankets kept us warm through nights in the 40s. One corner of the cabin is well-stocked with kitchen supplies. Between that, the outdoor prep table, the grate for the fire, and the hefty outdoor cooler, we were easily able to store, cook, and enjoy the sausage from our breakfast basket add on.
The site is private. You will hear the geese throughout the day — they are expert honkers! The hiking trails and paths to the sites were all clearly marked and we appreciated the solar lights on the path to the outhouse. Note that it uses a bio bag that you will pack out with you.
We loved meeting the free roaming goats, bottle baby sheep, and Sunblock the cat. Jennifer was communicative and helpful, especially when we had to reschedule due to snow and ice. Thank you, Jennifer, for making us feel so welcome!

We had a lovely stay at the moonshine site in mid November. Nighttime lows were in the 40s. The cabin was a little chilly but there were plenty of blankets on the bed and we found it very easy to get to sleep and very cozy. Bonus, we met a very friendly big dog to announce our arrival. He also showed us to our camp. 😂

We had a wonderful stay at the Moonshine site. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, even opening the farm store before we left so we could pick up some eggs and sausage (highly recommend)! They also shared great recommendations for local hikes, dining, and a cool winery that we hope to visit next time.
