Weekend Trip to Camp Kilo
We had a great stay! The host Dave was an incredibly fast responder and very helpful! We stayed in the winter so it was quite chilly, just bring lots of blankets! Night one of our arrival it had just snowed, we had a little trouble getting up the hill, luckily we have AWD. I think without snow you could make it up the hill even without AWD. We would certainly stay again or recommend to another!

Persimmon Patch was very nice with lots of space & privacy. (our campsite was at least acre). The facilities were nice, and the hosts were friendly and went out of thier way to accommodate our needs--they even dewinterized plumbing for us.

Most welcoming HipCamp we have ever been to. Julie and Moon are gracious and supportive hosts. Our grandkids ( we have 9 but brought 5 this time) love this camp area. Wonderful hiking

We enjoyed our stay on this property! The archers den campsite felt very private and had plenty of space. We loved the big fire pit with cooking grate.. The three campsites are far enough away from the winery/brewery that you don’t feel like you are camping at public business. Even though they had live music playing and seemed pretty busy we could barely hear anything going on. On the other hand if you wanted to enjoy the festivities it’s just a short walk from the campsites.

This campsite was great and the winery/ brewery on site was so much fun. Our puppy loved the dog park as well as walking around the campsite. The picnic table and fire pit were high quality and thus was the perfect back drop to the Fall season. Will definitely be coming back. Sheridan was wonderful and very quick to respond even when I mistakenly went to the wrong location, she redirected us with ease!

Weekend Trip to Hawthorn Hollar
A wonderful little slice of heaven, with amazing hosts! We had the best stay in the little cabin, which had everything one might want for a nature-filled and quiet weekend getaway! Julie made sure we had everything we needed, but also left us to enjoy everything the site had to offer! 10/10, would highly recommend!

Our group loved staying at Archer’s Den at Southern Revere Cellars. We really enjoyed the fact that our spot was hidden away from guests at the tasting barn, but if we wanted to the barn was an easy walk away to try the wine and beer. The fire pit they provide is a really nice touch and communication with the host was easy and timely. The only recommendation we have is to bring in bigger signage for each campsite. We totally missed the small sign/arrow for our campsite so we had to ask the host for the location. Overall great time and we will be back!

Had a great time camping at Southern Revere! The site is relatively private and you are tucked away from other campers. You can hear events at the winery, but it's not too loud and they aren't open super late. Host is very kind and responsive. Portapotties are a short walk away, and it was great to be able to visit the tap room and wander back to camp after. Will come again!

Loved the private camp site. You won't get that type of privacy at a typical campground. The grounds are very nicely maintained with many walking trails. The ground at the harvest hill site was very level and perfect for our pop-up. Nearby spot-o-pot was handy. Also great to be able to walk to brew/wine/food/music at the tasting room. Enjoyed both the beer and wine. Highly recommend.

We love camping at Moon & Julie's. This must be our 6th time. The solitude and on site hiking trails are perfect for us. Plus, it's not too far a jaunt to see the local historical areas, scenery, and nearby apple markets etc. You'll have acres to your self. We stay in Persimmon Patch #1 in the open grass area. It gives our dogs space to play and sun on our solar panels to keep things charge. We highly recommend staying at Moon and Julie's Hawthorne Hollar.

Very lovely property! The host was very communicative and kind. Just an fyi — 4WD is definitely preferred, our little corolla struggled and wasn’t able to make it all the way up the hill and the road leading to property is unpaved so it’s about 3mi of driving slowly on rough roads.

I really liked our spot on the hill. The light pollution was very low allowing for a great view of the night sky. In addition, the area has 5G so star gazing apps work well.
I enjoyed the beer and red wine offered at the tasting room and the band that played was nice as well. You can buy food to feed the goats at the tasting room.

We had a great weekend at the Southern Revere Winery & Brewery. We stayed at Hearth Hill with an incredible view of the night sky. There was a portajohn just a few steps from our site which was used by us and the campers at the other 2 sites. All campsites were very private.
The property has a fenced dog park, a playground, live music on Saturdays, and 3 adorable goats! The folks in the tasting barn were friendly and helpful.
The only disappointment was the food truck cuisine. Bring your own picnic basket since the food truck options on both Saturday and Sunday offered limited choices and overpriced small portions.
There are lots of trails throughout the property. Blue jays, cardinals, and lots of other birds enjoyed the berries on the Eastern Red Cedar trees. We saw no other wildlife which surprised us. We thought we'd see squirrels, chipmunks, deer, foxes, and rabbits, but did not see or hear any of these animals.
We highly recommend this hipcamp! It was easy to find, easy to access our campsite, and simple in and out. We enjoyed campfires both nights with the firewood we purchased as an extra. It was stacked near our firepit when we arrived.
