Retreat to our cozy yurt and relax by the wood fire. This enchanting yurt is very special to us! Previous friends and guests have exclaimed how romantic it is. It has electricity, a tiny refrigerator, wood stove and a comfy bed. The composting toilet is available outside. To get to the yurt 4WD recommended, ice and rain can greatly affect the roads. There is a parking spot available to park across from Deer Road. Take the very short walk to the yurt. Near our site is Green Mountain National Forest to explore. Blueberry Lake is just a short walk down our hill. Blueberry Lake is widely used year round for swimming, ice fishing, seasonal fishing, kayaking and canoeing. Long Trail nearby Bike trails/x country ski trails are connected right to our homestead. Continue on the trail and access some of the best mountain biking trails and snow biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking. Sugarbush Resort is a 10 minute drive and is one of the best ski mountains in the area! If you are looking for gym and shower facilities, you can stop into the Sugarbush Resort, just a short driving distance, for a day pass fee. Massages are available as a add on during booking! Wise Pines is a holistic and sustainable Inn/Hiker Hostel with a unique farm stay experience. It sits on 40 acres of land with wooded trails and a pond to sit by. We have a veggie garden, fruit trees, chickens, and ducks. *electric fencing is LIVE!* We utilize solar energy and have energy efficient rated buildings. The owners of the property, Chelsey and Jon live with with their two young kids and dogs on the premises. Please come prepared with a vehicle and shoes that are suited for the season of your arrival (mud, snow and ice) for both our property and the town road we live on. Dancing Bear Farm is a working farm with silvopastured chickens, turkeys, goats, and horses. Campsites are at the edge of the hayfields overlooking a view of Mt. Ascutney and Mt. Sunapee. Excellent sunrises! During your stay you are welcome to visit the animals, explore the forested trails, and walk up to the pond. There is a campfire and pavilion that guests are welcome to use, as well as a restroom with flush toilet and handwashing sink close to the campsites. Firewood is provided. Wise Pines was a lovely off-the-beaten-track place to stay near Woodstock. Incredibly comfortable bed and clean amenities. My dog and I enjoyed walking the beautiful gravel road and hanging out in the common space by the fireplace. Definitely recommend!

Weekend Trip to Dancing Bear Farm

A wonderful property! Would stay again. Very clean, very friendly, with lovely little touches. Was a joy to watch the sun set and rise on the farm. Rooster started at exactly 5:05am! Was audible but nothing you can’t sleep through. Found it to be a joy to walk the property in the morning. Looking forward to a fall visit as the season quickly changes!

Weekend Trip to Dancing Bear Farm

Amazing site and fabulous hosts! Cabin with amazing views, facilities exceeded expectations, and the pond was a huge bonus. Hosts were available and helped us get situated with all the many options onsite. It is a real farm! The fire pit, Adirondack chairs and grill made the site super comfortable. Speaking of comfort, the cabin was spacious, beds and linens clean and comfortable, the mini front porch chairs perfect for a quiet cup of coffee surveying the mountains in the distance. We brought our springer spaniel and she also had the best day ever!! This was our first time using Hipcamp and we will certainly be going back to Julia’s site as it offers a beautiful refuge in a beautiful region. Their efforts made this site a memorable one! Cabin, 5⭐️, Local Farm 5⭐️, Site and Amenities 5⭐️ but the Hosts truly made this a site to remember.

Weekend Trip to Wise Pines

Our weekend at Wise Pines was an incredible experience. The lodging and ammneities far exceeded my expectations. Private rooms had fans and sound machines, very appreciated for the moms in our group enjoying undisturbed night sleep. The bunkhouse offered comfortable accommodation and our group loved the drawn curtains for each bunk. The treehouses were a joy to stay in, very comfortable and cozy. We booked the entire property for our weekend trip and spent a lot of time in the lodge enjoying the art books and games, as well as utilizing the stunning yoga studio for our own restoration. The space offers yoga classes as well! Highly recommend a trip to Wise Pines whether you're a solo traveler/hiker looking to connect with others or a group seeking a restorative nature getaway.

2 nights at Blueberry Lake Adventures

My partner Kait and I stayed in this magical yurt for a couple of days and honestly didn’t want to leave. From the moment we arrived, the host’s hospitality was above and beyond welcoming, kind, and thoughtful. The yurt itself was incredibly cozy and beautifully designed. The bed was super comfy, and the whole space felt like a warm hug, especially as snow gently fell outside it was like living inside a snow globe. We also loved how close we were to nature. There were some incredible hiking trails right nearby, and the view at Blueberry Lake was absolutely breathtaking. It’s the perfect place to relax, reconnect, and soak in the quiet beauty of Vermont. Can’t recommend it enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing stay in Julias cozy yurt! Beds were very comfortable and woodburning stove helped us warm up and created cozy vibes! Amazing stars and great camp stove for cooking. Cannot recommend enough!
