Learn more about this land: Texas Hill Brook camp site The Texas Hill Brook site is a flat, wooded campsite on Texas Hill Brook in Huntington. The campsite is roughly 10m x 30m (30' x 100'), large enough for several tents or a small camper/RV. It is accessed by a sloped 50m (about 150') gravel driveway. The narrowest part of the driveway is 2.6m (about 8.5 feet). There is a 3m x 3m (10' x 10') tent platform and a large picnic table. Firewood is provided. Near our home about 120m/400 feet away through the trees but relatively private. Within a short pedal or drive to some of the best mountain biking and hiking Vermont has to offer, 15 minutes to Richmond and Hinesburg, and just a half hour to Burlington. Electricity on site, primitive fire pit, but no other facilities, so ALL waste must be packed out. We have a bucket commode to loan if you don’t have your own.

This little cabin was a nice retreat away from home for a few days. Having bedding provided was a nice touch and the bed is very comfortable. The parking is not far from the cabin (maybe 50-100ft) and the driveway was even plowed very shortly after a few inches of snow fell during my stay. There’s a fair amount of yard space available, great for playing in the snow this time of year, and the steam right outside the cabin door is a pretty sight and sound every time you exit. This cabin is also perfect for anyone who doesn’t like dealing with a wood stove to keep warm, instead a gas radiator controlled by a digital thermostat keeps the cabin warm exactly how you like it, a very surprising but much appreciated bonus I found out after arriving. Overall, this cabin was fantastic, warm, and cozy, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for somewhat easy cabin camping in the winter.

Staying in Oma’s cabin was beautiful. The cabin feels handmade down to the smallest detail. You can feel the hosts’ Erin and Philip’s care in everything about the place. Excellent kitchen set up with everything necessary to cook meals and clean up. The stove kept the cabin warm and comfortable when it was cold and windy outside. Luna the dog came by to say hi. Fire pit is great for having a fire under the stars. Walking distance to a great hiking trail. Really just a perfect off-grid cabin in the woods.

Had an amazing getaway from Boston at Peter’s property. The campsites were private and quiet and all amenities were as described. Each site had a fire ring, picnic table, and a charcoal grill. A clean stream runs along each site. There was enough water in the stream to float on a tube even during a recent drought. My partner and two dogs had a great time and can’t wait to be back. Highly recommended

We had an incredible stay at Tenting, Fishing, Swimming Utopia at Vermont Ranch & Riverside Retreat! Lucinda was a fantastic host who greeted us warmly at the entrance and took the time to show us around the property. Our campsite in the woods was spectacular, complete with a fire pit, grill, and even an outdoor shower—such a great touch! The highlight of our trip was the breathtaking views of the river at sunset; it was simply amazing. My daughter was especially thrilled to see the horses grazing in the field right where we were camping, adding to the charm of the location. On our first night, we caught some night crawlers and took them fishing. Although we didn’t get any bites, it was a wonderful experience to see my wife and daughter enjoying themselves by the water. We wished we could have stayed a few more nights to soak it all in! Overall, I highly recommend this campsite for anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful getaway in nature. We can’t wait to return!

I loved camping at Peter's farm! The bathroom is a bit far, but it's really not too bad from Site 1 and also considering there is a stream nearby. The stream is beautiful and had access points. You don't really hear the traffic from the road. It's a beautiful private site to stargaze, cook, and enjoy nature in Vermont!!!

This spot was great! We got there late, so don’t be like us + miss the orange reflective sign to the field the first few times! It’s easy to follow the signs from the pull-in. The stars were gorgeous, and the area was well maintained with cut grass. My dogs loved sniffing around and playing before we set off. You couldn’t hear any cars from the road. Highly recommend, will come back in the future!

We stayed at site 1 which is super private. Couldn't really see anyone or be seen by them. The stars are great and being able to have the dogs off leash was awesome. The only thing I would change is I wish the stream was bigger but I know the area was in a drought, so not sure what it's normally like.

My Haven sits on 2.25 acres. It is walking distance to Lake Paran and the Robert Frost Trail, as well as the small quaint town of North Bennington. You can see mountains and there are more hiking trails throughout the county. The back and side of the property is wooded, very private! The view is of a meadow and mountain (Mount Anthony). Bridgeview Harbour Marina is a family owned and operated full service marina, event space, and camping area on the Adirondack shore of Lake Champlain. Established in 2020 the Marina provides seasonal and overnight slips and moorings to boaters, fisherman, and lake-goers, three camp sites, and an on-site cafe. Marina services are available May thru October each year, with other events and services available throughout the year. The marina is set on 33 acres along Lake Champlain and hosts ~4150 feet of lake-frontage, it is accessible via car, boat, or via the adjacent Amtrak rail line. Prior to becoming a marina in 1989, the property was home to a very large Iron Foundry, rail yard, and barge-loading operation known as Cedar Point. Cedar point, part of the larger Witherbee-Sherman Mining Company, operated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries smelting iron ore to be shipped throughout the world via the Lake Champlain Canal and Hudson River, and is credited with providing iron to some of America's leading projects at the time. Some remains of the sites industrious past can be observed throughout the property. From Father's Day to Labor Day, the Marina hosts the Port Henry Waterfront Farmers' Market every Friday between 5PM and 8PM.
