Note: this is a shared private beach for the properties on this side of the lake. It is included with your booking and limited to that time. It has many amenities including: large gazebos on artificial turf, fire pits, playground, flush toilets, water, and docks. (See Add-Ons if you need a boat slip for the day or overnight).

* Wildlife - In late summer, cattle graze nearby. In spring, you may see sheep and baby lambs on the way to the south beach access.
There are rattle snakes, bunnies, and we’ve seen a scorpion or two.
*Weather - Summer days can be quite hot with cooler nights. There is no shade on the property. Wind gusts carrying dust can occur. It’s a good idea to check weather app for conditions.
*Landscape/Views - Utah natural landscape changes markedly with the seasons. Some photos may reflect green grasses, when these dry out mid summer, they can produce fine stickers to be aware of with long hair pets, kids, and ankles in general.
Views can change depending on developing neighboring properties.
Sunsets either at the lake or the property are unobstructed and often dramatic. Night sky viewing is also pretty awesome as there is very little light pollution.

The site is nestled in very special part of the Sandy suburbs, where every property has a mini farm. As you stroll these quiet tree-lined roads, you will discover horses, alpacas, chickens, and many other friendly RVers. With towering mountain views and golden sunsets, you will feel the campground vibes you are used to.
Where we are, the pace is slow. We usually wake up to horse whinnies and fresh eggs from our chickens. Your friendly dogs and horses are welcome too. We have a paddock, terrace, firepit and some of the best mountain views in the valley. The site can accommodate up to 40ft, with additional with road parking for tow/toad vehicles. The site is mostly shaded, but also has clear skies for a Starlink.
In the summer, the site is 5 minutes to mountain trails, 5 minutes to an equestrian trail area, 10 minutes to an epic mountain biking single track area, 18 minutes to Snowbird for tram rides to the top of the Wasatch, summer concerts and Oktoberfest.
In the winter, you have 7 ski resorts to choose from, skiing on arguably the 'greatest snow on earth'. With Alta only 22 minutes away, you can ski one of three ski-only resorts in the world. Or, choose boarding at the fun-filled terrain park of Brighton. Park City is the largest resort in the USA and is only 45 minutes away.
For city amenities, Sandy has everything. Multiple RV suppliers and repair shops, tire shops, and all the equipment stores you would ever need, including an REI. We have grocery stores from Trader Joe's down the street, to a Kroger a couple of minutes away and a Wholefoods 15min away. Sandy has many great family restaurants and coffee shops and is only a short drive (or light-rail ride) into downtown Salt Lake City which is packed with world-class cuisine and entertainment.
Sandy is home to Utah's hockey team and soccer teams, a training center for the Utah Jazz and a beautiful new Theatre with Broadway shows playing regularly. For kids/parents, there is a stunning aquarium, awesome indoor play centers and huge parks, pools and splash-pads.

Staying at Gypsy’s Hipcamp was one of those experiences that makes a trip feel special. They were incredibly hospitable, welcoming, and kind, and by the end of our stay it truly felt like we had made new friends. The location is excellent if you want to explore Park City, Heber, and Midway, with great restaurants nearby, a market, a wonderful coffee shop, and a park all close at hand. It’s also only about five minutes from The Crater, which was a huge bonus. We would absolutely recommend this site to anyone looking for a friendly place to stay in a perfect spot for enjoying the area.

What a beautiful experience. We stayed for two nights and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The weather was perfectly crisp and fall-like, and Lynnellen made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. She shared fresh vegetables from her garden and repeatedly encouraged us to make ourselves comfortable, and we truly felt like we could.
Each morning, she made us breakfast that left our bellies happy and full, and Sunday dinner was incredibly nourishing. The conversations we shared were filled with warmth and sincerity. You can tell Lynnellen is someone full of love and joy who genuinely wants to share it with others, and you can see that same spirit reflected in the people passing through her home.
If you’re looking for a place that radiates community, love, and connection, this is it. Our hearts feel very full after just two days here. Highly recommended and if we’re ever in the area again, we’ll absolutely be back.

Directions and communication were excellent. It was easy to find. I had read some reviews about it being windy and I got lucky and had no wind.!
It was chilly… First ice on my windshield all season! There is another house right there which at first seems a little invasive, but actually it felt safer to me to know people were around as I was traveling solo.

Our family just recently spent 4 nights tent camping at the Haward Family Ranch and enjoyed every moment of our stay.
The ranch was well maintained, beautiful and way better than expected. The port-a potties were clean, firewood was provided and we absolutely loved the green plush grass. Having the whole site to our selfs made it very private, peaceful and relaxing. We had a fun time playing tether ball and using the swing set. We also loved the fact that it was conveniently located near stores and hiking trails.
Definitely recommend others to stay and would love to visit again in the future.

We loved our time at Parker's beach site! We camped at Beach Site 1 and had a great time. Would recommend bringing bug spray, as we started to fight some mosquitoes after the sun went down, but beyond that, the night was great. Parker was a great host and was very responsive - We bought firewood from him and had a nice big fire in one of the big firepit bowls. The bathroom house was awesome, just a bit of a walk from the beach. Our sleep was excellent, and we had a great drive into SLC the next day. Would absolutely recommend camping here!
