Ingrid, owner of Khushatta Hills Ranch is a retired educator, and air force veteran who has always wanted to offer an escape to peace and tranquility. Her family has owned this beautiful piece of land on the doorstep of Sam Houston National Forest for over 5 generations.
From the origins of Khushatta Hills Ranch in 1871, the women in her family have cared for the land, using it to grow local produce to feed multiple families in the area, to now opening the space for visitors to relax and enjoy. We had an amazing stay at the Mom Mollie Glamping Tent, and honestly, the horrible rain during our trip only proved how great this place is. If you want a host who truly cares about your experience, stay here.
The campsite at Khushatta Hills Ranch was really nice and well-maintained, but what truly made the difference was Mrs. Ingrid. She was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and available on-site for anything we needed, giving us total peace of mind. We felt so well taken care of despite the weather. We’ve already decided we will definitely be back for a second visit—hopefully with a little more sunshine next time!

Great place to stay. Myself, my two daughters (and pup) really enjoyed this quite peaceful campsite. Property owners happened to be camping on the 2nd site and where very helpful and informative. Will stay here again!
