Lake Livingston is a large 23+ mile lake. We bought the property in 2014 and did upgrades on weekends, love the views, fishing, campfires, and meeting people so we opened the first cabin in April of 2018, now have 5 cabins and 9 rv sites and welcome you to enjoy the lake as much as we do. Every season of the year is a little different and all are wonderful! We are in nature, and across street from wetlands, yet only 2 miles from city grocery store and restaurants! There are 3 piers, fishing, picnicking, beautiful sunsets, nature watching, small watercraft rentals, guide paid pontoon tours, swimming, bonfires, bbq’s with firewood available on site for purchase if desired. It’s a very nice new place with a great pool and lake views. It’s a very big park and we were there in a Class C on a slow weekend. It had a very nice kids playground and a venue for a live band or performance that was near the pool. We had an afternoon snack at the Restaurant that was good. It’s very much a bar type food restaurant. The water and ice tea had an odd taste like the water softener put too much salt in it. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. There was a pool swim up bar that was staffed from the inside restaurant bar, but it was a light weekend as the park and pool were not very busy. The RV sites were long and plenty wide. I was in a section with only 3 RV’s near by and the pedestal voltage was only 111 volts on the 30a circuit. While sufficient for my stay could be a problem if they were very full in the heat of summer. The Dumpster was in the far corner of the park which is large. They could probably use a bit more lighting through out. I had to use a flash light to get to the dumpster at night.
We will definitely be back. Next time in our Class A to test out the 50a service.
It might be interesting to see if the pool or restaurant can handle the capacity if the park was full. There are a lot of sites

This was an absolute perfect little getaway. We chose the rustic tent area and pitched ours in a quiet little spot. We were a little late getting started from home and did not arrive until after the office was closed but I called and the office staff laid out very clear instructions on what I needed to do upon arrival to ensure we were all checked in. Amazing prices for both camping and the kayak rentals and an awesome staff that went above and beyond the ensure that we enjoyed our stay. We’ve already been chatting about our next visit to the area and are 100% looking at rebooking at this location.

THRIVE Family Camp and RV is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the serene beauty of the forest and the warm hospitality of our host, David. The campsite was impeccably clean and well-organized. We especially appreciated the clean bathroom facilities, which made our stay even more comfortable. We had an amazing time at Hilleetla! Alissa and David are wonderful hosts with a beautiful property, and their friendly dogs love joining you on little adventures.
The location is peaceful and quiet, making it a great place to disconnect and take in the sounds of nature. At night, the stargazing is incredible—you can see countless stars on a clear evening. We stayed for two nights, and the weather was perfect with very few mosquitoes.
The property itself offers diverse terrain and rich biodiversity, making it a great spot for exploring. The amenities were well thought out, including a composting toilet, shower, and convenient water spigots throughout the site.
Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We’d definitely recommend it!
