Great spot for family camping. The property is easy to access (we have a fwd minivan) and there are plenty of places to set up a tent. There is a nice field in the front and trees to the rear of the property. There are plenty of stores within a 15 minute drive in case you forgot any supplies. Kristie was very accommodating and answered all of my questions before the trip. Highly recommend you check this spot out! We are definitely coming back!

Great property just a short trip from Houston. We were met at the entrance by the property manager and he gave us a quick tour. Public restroom and shower to use if needed and free range to explore most of the property. Scenic prairie views and the campsites had a table set up with a fire ring already.

William and Dawn were so helpful and welcoming! They ensured I had everything I needed and showed me to my spot. I was solo tent camping with three dogs and we had a great time by the pond. They even let me use the row boat! I was the only visitor that weekend, but all the camp spots were spaced very far apart offering great privacy. What a beautiful 300 acres near the river- we’ll definitely be back. 🏕️

I booked the grades but due to high brush we were recommended the area near the pond. Despite the heat I had an amazing time. The pond had some nice sized fish, I'm not really sure what they are called but there's variety. There is alot of see weed so we caught that most of the time. I did add firewood and an extra tent but there was no firewood until the day after we checked in. But it wasn't a big issue the first night, we got approval to use any deadwood we find. The bathroom had an infestation of what looked like wasp, but we were relived to find they were wasp like but not exactly, they don't sting, either way it was taken care of afterwards. The heat was pretty hot midday and I was tempted into going in the pond to cool off, but with the amount of seaweed I didn't want to risk my feet getting tangled. We were able to walk the property as we were the only ones there the first 2 days and I will definitely be coming back in the cooler months and trying out the forested areas deep in the property, I wish we were able to get to the river. Maybe next time. All in all it was a great experience with a few hiccups but the warden was very amicable and responded in a timely manner on our concerns. Plus he had a cute little puppy with the most gorgeous eyes.

We had a fantastic family weekend at the Navasota River Ranch. It was so peaceful, no other campers anywhere in sight. We got to fish, foraged some berries, and picked wild flowers. At night we had a raccoon visiting our camp, but he only stole some bait from the boat. :) I would definitely be booking another trip there in the near future. The host William was very friendly. The weather was perfect and so was the atmosphere. Recommend 10 out of 10 :)

This place is so amazing! We had such an amazingly wonderful time at Williams property and our family will definitely be coming back to regularly visit this camp site!! William is so kind and accommodating! He even drove us around to show us the different site options and allowed us to chose the site that worked best for our family! The views at Hilltop Prairie were gorgeous! We loved getting to explore the property with our kids and dog. William was a friendly and welcoming host, giving us maps and explaining the layout of the property and stayed in touch through the app. The property is far enough from town to feel secluded, but close enough that a run to the store for forgotten supplies was quick and easy. We would definitely recommend this place!

My husband and I had not been camping in over 3 years. we went with another couple and made our weekend home right up on the cliff overlooking the Navasota River. It was breathtaking, we had such a wonderful time. We wanted the weekend the relax, do some fishing, have a small fire, stay up really late and just be out away from our everyday life. The fishing was really good, everyone in our party was able to catch a fish if not multiple. The owners of the place were extremely friendly and even gave us a guided tour of the land to meet the needs we were looking for. We will be back to this location again,

We absolutely loved camping at the Navasota River Ranch. William is one of the nicest people we have ever met. When checking in he talks to about what experience you’re looking for and recommends a camp site. He put us at a place where we’d see the stars. It was absolutely gorgeous. Picturesque. This was a first time camping and he give us good tips and helped us find a lot of firewood for our campfire. We felt completely isolated with great privacy. It felt like it was just us and the nature. The property is insanely big and there’s so much to explore. You’re definitely spaced out from other campers. Our dogs had a blast roaming around. Will be booking again soon!
