We loved camping on Sherwood’s land at Burgers Lake! We wanted something affordable near Dallas/Fort Worth, and this popped up. It felt like an abandoned waterpark all to ourselves- but it will be open soon- which would be even more fun! Plenty of wide open space and privacy. All the amenities are easily accessible. It’s definitely worth staying and we’ll be back if we’re in the area!

Nice experience with Lamas. Judy and other gentlemen were patient answering questions about the stay. Could have looked at the weather before going, had multiple times thunderstorms over the night. But that is not related to the camping experience. And also recommendations around places to see around the camping will also be helpful.

We LOVED llama land ranch! It was the perfect getaway from Fort Worth for the weekend. Our campsite was tucked away from the other sites on either side of us so we didn’t feel like we were near others. Judy was so welcoming and responsive. The bathrooms are “NICE NICE NICE” as advertised and pretty cool as they are in a silo. The llamas, pups, and cats around the place were so much fun to be around. It was such a peaceful retreat for the weekend. We will definitely be back! Very family friendly or if you want to keep to yourselves that’s easy too :)

Our stay at bee mountain resort was amazing!! The camping area are very spacious, gives you PLENTY of room if 3 or more tents are being put up. We were right off the bank shore making it easy to put kayaks into the water. Finally the bathroom are clean and kept up. Lots of trails to hike as well. Melanie and Tony are very helpful and keep EVERYONE update when bathroom are being traded out or just checking if campers need anything, definitely recommend and will be coming back to here

3 nights at Bee Mountain River Resort

Had an amazing time. Crew taking care of restrooms and running the wood/ice requests were timely and accepted Zelle at the reception area at the front of the property. Kayak rentals were fun and they double as a paddle board.

Amazing tent camping experience for couples, family and large group events. Highly recommend! And llamas too!! Bonus! And the host, Judy....very hospitable! Loved our second time there!

I had a great experience at Burgers lake! It’s a super great location in Fort Worth, while “feeling” away from the hustle and bustle in a serene environment. The camping areas are covered in grass, so there isn’t dirt and mud. A excellent spot to clean out your RV/van. There are big trees, a basketball hoop, and swings. And, charcoal grills at your camp site. There is a small waterpark the grounds are near, that is closed until end of May. The host is super nice and chill! And, my spot was super private with no one around. A truly peaceful place!

We loved our stay at Llama Land Ranch. I took a group of young women from my church and everyone had a great time and loved all the Llamas. They were all so sweet. Judy was very friendly and helpful.

We had a magnificent time at Bee Mountain. Tony and Melanie were fantastic hosts and we cannot wait to go back. They made check in a breeze, they were super friendly, answered every question we had, and were a joy to sit and chat with. The property is simply stunning! I could go on and on and on about it, but just do yourself a favor and go out there for a stay!! It’s truly a gem and I am so thankful that there are private property owners that share their little slices of heaven with those of us who would rather be out in nature than stuck in the concrete jungles. Each and every campsite is located directly on the river and all of them are huge. Firewood, ice, kayaks, paddle boards and generators are available at low prices.
