Fieldsong Farm

The Sniders played an important part in the development of our town, Lucas, and surrounding schools. The rest of the land has been sold to two families, and all three purchasers (that includes us!) are establishing small family farms. Hurray! Plus the Snider's old house and barn next door are being renovated by the new owners! Since 2013, we have brought in water and electricity to the land, built fences, a house and several barns. We have a flock of chickens, a bunch of loud, nosey Nubian dairy goats, 2 cats and 2 dogs. We farm organic vegetables, and have planted some fruit trees. We are committed to conservation of our land and the wildlife that call it home, and are working to restore our wildflower meadow (location of the campsite) to original prairie state. Also, check out downtown Valley View with local restaurants including Blue Bonnet Cafe, York N Ale, Hess Meat Market, and Firelight Vineyard just 7 minutes away. Edge of the Lake Vineyard is also 7 minutes away. Drinking water is available at the campsites from a water hydrant. No electricity is available at campsites. There are no bathroom amenities here. Guests will need to be self-contained, take waste with them and leave no trace.
