Nestled between the Gulf of Mexico and the Intercoastal Waterway, Sargent Island, with its unique, water-front home sites, was created in the 1950s. A quiet community, we feel Sargent is an oasis away from the crowds and congestion of other beach-side communities. We love taking a break from our busy lives to listen to the waves roaring down the shore. We think you'll love it, too! Learn more about this land: This is a 8000 sq ft privately owned, ocean-side lot. Located on a barrier island in Sargent, TX, the site offers a neighborhood atmosphere, with a secluded, unobstructed beach view. There is an approximately 30x30 gravel pad and long driveway. The property is beach front, but dune area/beach may not be accessible by foot (depends on tidal flow, rainfall, Gulf storms etc.). Full beach access is about 1/4 mile down the road. This is a subdivision--there is a neighbor on our right side. This is an RV lot only. This property suits smaller to midsize RVs and most wheeled campers (but no ground tents--there is too much ground wildlife for safety, though elevated, vehicle-mounted tents are fine). The property is still in development. We currently have electricity (110v, 30, 50 amp), water, but NO SEWER OR SEPTIC. You must bring your own toilet facilities with you and take the waste away. NOTE: Public Toilet facilities and trash available 1.5 miles away. We do provide a picnic table, but it changes often--we lose them in storms, lol. You'll also have a clothes line and a canopy as wind/storms permit. If you're an introvert, dislike traffic or just like breathing room, you'll love quiet, crowd-free, Sargent beach. It's such a peaceful getaway! ISLAND LIFE NOTE: This is the Texas Gulf Coast--we have mosquitos, and it's the state bird for a reason! Please bring SPRAY. We never guarantee a bug-free experience. This gorgeous, island property is vulnerable to the extreme weather conditions on the Texas Gulf Coast. It's a dynamic property, shifting and changing, depending on the weather--we try our best to maintain this property in a timely manner, but we can't control this Mother Nature factor! There may be times we cannot put up the shade canopy due to high winds, other aspects of the property may have shifted, there may not be a beach due to high tides, you may not be able to walk to the beach from the property, etc. Please ask questions and we'll communicate what's available at your booking time. Private lot on the Gulf of Mexico in Sargent, Texas. Just walk across the foot path to the Gulf of Mexico. Full RV Hookups - water, electrical (50A/30A/20A), and sewage. 70+ feet of concrete pad and driveway inside the fenced yard with plenty of space for all RVs. The property is fully fenced. The entrance gate is 16' wide. The yard is all St. Augustine grass. Very clean and maintained. Pets are welcome. This property is tailored for RVs, 5th Wheels, Travel Trailers, and Motorhomes that have black and grey tanks and can hold their waste water (shower, toilet, and washing) for dumping into the on-site water treatment unit. You must have your own shower, sinks, and toilet on your rig with holding tanks for black and grey water and the ability to dump into the dump location on the property. The property is not designed for tent campers. The electrical and sewage hookups are on the left side of the property. Motorhomes (Class A, Pushers, and Class C RVs can pull directly into the space with hookups in the usual location. 5th wheels, travel trailers, and campers that are pulled by a vehicle will need to back into the space as there is no room in the front of the property to drive in, unhook your vehicle, and drive the vehicle off the slab. When you back in, the hookups will be on the the opposite side of your connections. Depending upon your travel trailer and where you place your travel trailer on the slab, you may need electrical or sewage extensions to reach the connections. The vast majority of the renters who use the property used a 5th wheel, travel trailer or camper that is pulled by a vehicle. The pictures of the property show a line of granite blocks between the property and the beach. The granite forms a seawall (called the revetment wall) that was installed by the Corp of Engineers and prevents beach erosion. Depending on the tides, sometimes the Gulf waters hit the wall and there is very little beach area in front of the property. Sometimes, there is a large beach area. If the water is against the seawall and you’re looking for beach area, there are several beach entrances along Canal Drive within driving and walking distance.

Bird enthusiasts will love the Magic Bird Sanctuary located directly behind the property. Bring your binoculars to get closer to the action. If you are looking for space, relaxation, beautiful scenery and the chance to wet a line, this may be the place for you. Carly's Bait and Boondocking will soon have a small bait shop. Until then, your host will provide you with bait, fish, and crab traps that will be located in the marsh. Feel free to take as much bait from the traps until the actual bait shop is up and running. Awesome place right next to the beach. Plenty of space to stretch out. Have to watch out for the sand burrs here and there but you'll have that with sandy areas. Very peaceful and just the stay we were looking for!

Place is very well maintained. Clean and with good hookups. The fence was great for our dogs so they could run and play. A good kind of isolated. James provided us with good info and things to take into account. He made us aware of the mosquitos, which is something to plan for and know when and where be outside. The weather while we were at the camp was chilly so we were able to enjoy mornings and late evenings without worrying too much about them. If you are visiting plan ahead - shelter, permethrin, wondercide, citronella and protection for your dogs and yourself. We will certainly be coming back.

We had a great time camping here. It was right by the beach which was perfect. We did a lot of fishing so it was nice to have the ocean right there. You really can't beat the value. We would definitely come here again.

We had the best time fishing, swimming, and relaxing at Camp Nadur. We are already planning our next visit. Even on a very busy holiday weekend it was SO peaceful. Shockingly we had the beach to ourself most of the time. It’s a fantastic spot! Thanks Kirk and Emily for sharing your place.

This place is a hidden gem. Living in Texas, my wife and I have been to a lot of beaches along the coast, but had never heard of Sargeant Beach. The fact that there are no restaurants, bars, and stores keeps a lot of people away and maintains a quiet atmosphere. The site is well prepared and maintained. We did have to move all of our stuff the day after we arrived so they could come cut the grass, but I guess that was a minor inconvenience. The beach that we did ended going to enjoy the sand and water was just up the road and easily accessible. There was an incredible amount of organic and non-organic debris on the beach due to all of the heavy rains and the runoff coming from the Brazos river into the Gulf of Mexico. Caveat: the pictures on hipcamp app need to be updated. There is no good access to the beach from the campsite; that wood walkway does not exist.

Great area, just as described. Mother nature didn't give us any brakes whatsoever pretty much rained the entire time we were there. We weren't able to do any fishing or any outdoor activities as we were hoping, but that's beyond anyone's control. Lots of privacy and nice quiet, relaxing area. The owners kept us updated about the weather and potential mosquito problems, which was very much appreciated.

Great getaway spot to enjoy the beach and watch the boats come in. I didn't have a good experience on my own equipment part and didn't get to stay the full stint that I wanted to. But the kind people Emily and her husband Kirk they refunded me for the days I didn't even stay. I highly recommend them!

Great setup for RVs with convenient fenced yard for our dog. Easy walking access to the seawall and only a quick drive to the beach area up island. Host was very communicative and everything worked as advertised at the site. Would definitely stay here again!
