Extremely nice individuals, the staff were friendly and caring. They had and were happy to share the local spots to hang out and the cool things in the area, it was my first time setting up a tent and unfortunately I can’t remember the staff members name, but a woman came by the camp ground after my arrival at 10:30pm and saw me struggling and offered a hand to help I’ve gotta say thank y’all for being an epic can’t sight!

We enjoyed our stay in the big cabin. It fit our family of 7 and we had plenty of things to do! This place was perfect for kids, even toddlers. We felt safe the entire time and the property manager was there if we needed anything. We’ll definitely come back, but with friends!!!

2 nights at Dos Rios - Hill Country Adventure

We loved staying in the Ultimate Privacy Jupe. We swam, fished, paddle boarded and explored all day. The river access was awesome and we enjoyed the site a lot. The bed was comfy and we stayed warm and dry during an evening thunder storm. We will definitely be back.

Tent camping at Dos Rios was excellent! Plenty of space and well-maintained sites. Campgrounds were quiet with beautiful views and skies+

We stayed at Tentrr 5B. Great camping site. The river nearby is awesome/clean water and good fishing. Very remote and was quiet at night. Campsites are very close together so not really private. Hosts are nice. The bed was comfortable. Downside is the public restrooms and showers are absolutely disgusting/dirty. It’s worse than a nasty truck stop. I would not advise anyone much less a woman use them. Overall, though it’s a good place with great river access but if you’re looking for somewhere that you have a little privacy this is not it as there are RV’s/campsites stacked right on top of each other and people are everywhere. If you don’t want that then you should go somewhere else. Also the James River Icehouse is right across the road from the campground and it’s excellent!! Great burgers and people there are super friendly!!

I really did enjoy my spot on the number 3 the 10th I'm glad that I had campers across the way and close to the bathroom and the river was just beautiful wish there was more water but all in all it was a great time

Dos Rios was there PERFECT spot for my family! We stayed 3 nights at the Tiny Cabin 12. It had everything we needed from kitchen appliances, to clean bedding and towels! This space accommodated me my partner, my 8 month old, 8 year old and our German shepherd. Super comfortable, nice AC, hot showers, and a fire pit to cook on outside. The main guy that was working there helped us as soon as we arrived! He was a huge help to us during our stay! The river area was so beautiful every morning and evening, very clean around the whole RV park. I highly recommend this place to anyone especially if you have kids or pets! Everyone around us was very respectful and polite ❤️❤️ We will be back again!

Unreal view and relaxing time. Easy to locate and puppy friendly. Easy place to clear your mind, get away from the rat race, and reset. Safe for solo travelers!

We chose to tent camp at dos Rios and had a great experience! The grounds were beautiful! It was a little less private than we expected however we were lucky and there were not many people present on the nights we chose to camp. Bathrooms were present and available but were a little dirty but this also wasn’t a huge deal to us. Overall we will be back and enjoyed our time!

I had the pleasure of staying in 5A already set up Tents with a stunning from the bed. SO peaceful and relaxing, near the bathhouse with hot showers. Clean, comfortable and as a single person traveling I felt safe here!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND 10 stars

We loved our stay so much! We love that there are different camping options (cabins, RV’s, tents), the location is 10/10 as well! We hiked to Enchanted Rock in the morning and went to Fredericksburg for late lunch and back to our camp for a late afternoon swim. The only thing that we gotta be careful are fishing lines as some of them still have hooks! Kudos to the staff as well for being so helpful and present.

Very friendly staff while checking in. Pool area was beautiful and well maintained. It's very new and there are not a lot of trees to provide shade in the summer but camping there during Spring Break was lovely.

Host worked with us to change into a cabin last minute due to cold front that would have otherwise stopped us from staying overnight. The team was helpful and the site as a whole was really neat. Hoping to go again in summer to experience the river more.

Easy check in process - great communication via app and email with the owner. The property is beautiful, very easy to get around and close to town if you want to go shopping or out to eat. The River is beautiful and easy to access. The Icehouse across the road is a great addition as well, we really enjoyed our weekend here and plan to return soon. I saw some reviews said the campsites are too close together, some are closer than others but we found a perfect spot with trees and shade that we loved, definitely want to get there early (we got there at 4 and had great options). Check out THC Brewery in Mason for an afternoon trip. If its your first time in the river, check out some water shoes for sure. Thanks again, we look forward to coming back!

3 nights at SKYE Texas Hill Country Resort

Great stay! Nice little campsite. Burn ban in effect at the time so didn’t get to use the fire pit but there is one! There’s a grill too. Llano river frontage only a 5 minute walk away. Service is non-existent at the site but you can get one bar/spotty WiFi from the office if you walk up by the dumpsters/office. Short walk to an actual shower/toilet as well, big plus! I would for sure stay here again. First Hipcamp and won’t be my last! The owners need to be more strict about burn bans, there was a campsite not far from us with a campfire, the next day a 400 acre wildfire started north of Fredericksburg. Definitely not something to be lax about.

Our family of 4 loved our time in the tiny home at SKYE Hill Country Resort. The cabin was furnished with full size kitchen appliances which made it easy to cook. The shower was large and we had plenty of hot water. The beds were comfortable, too. We enjoyed sitting outside on the back porch drinking coffee (also supplied in the tiny home) in the Adirondack chairs looking at the pond. This resort is 16 miles outside of Fredericksburg which made it wonderful to get away from the crowds. We enjoyed our time in the pool and playing pickle ball.

Camping experience was awesome! Everyone was super friendly to us and helped us with turning on lights and giving us tips. River access is super close and very swimmable if we went in the summer. Some parts were a little tough to drive stakes into the ground because about 3 inches under the loose dirt is just rock, so we had to make do using other methods. Sunsets and views are beautiful, and night sky contains the milky way, a wonderful sight to see. If needed, a 10 minute drive to mason has the 66 Lowe’s market for anything you might need during your camp

Hill Terrace

The site sits near the junction of Bailey Creek and the South Llano River. The land is managed for bird watching and plant diversity and boast and astonishing variety of plant species. The Painted Bunting and the Black-throated Sparrow almost always available for view here. Hill Terrace Cabins One and Three began their existence as Depression era Girls Scout cabins. Humans have been on the site and estimated 7,000 years now and there is strong sense of peace and continuity in the land and waters here. An historical marker on site relates a famous shoot-out between The Texas Rangers and the infamous Potter gang. The wells are shallow, spring fed, and sweet with limestone, so bring your favorite tea or coffee. And a hat! The river is flowing well, but burn bans may be in effect.
