campround/farmette' is about 2 acres (inside the city limits!), on a creek, kind of woodsy, and next to a pretty vast parkland greenbelt. Recent flooding made quite a mess but it's still pleasant here. Several friendly and permanent residents and farm animals. Creek-side private campground hideaway available. This is a CAMPGROUND: NO RV, ROOM, BED, INVOLVED - BRING A TENT AND GEAR FOR COMFORT (check my other listings for an RV stay). This a "want to camp" campground and not a living solution. If you "need to camp" due to financial or other reasons, Camp EZ will likely not be a good fit for you. 6 nights maximum stay. Not suitable for very young children. Please include your child in your count. Campfires in designated area only with permission (burn ban sometimes). Bring firewood. Community vibe 'round here; everyone is expected to be quiet and respectful of one another and clean up after themselves "leave no trace" style. Six night maximum stay. Bring a tent and gear needed to be comfortable. 2 private hot outdoor showers, rustic kitchen and 2 charming flush restrooms included. Wood fired sauna available. Visitors are expected to clean up after themselves especially in the kitchen, showers, restroom and, of course, your campsite. Trash and recycle containers are around or, better yet, pack it out! We are a 2 acre community on a secret and secluded little street 5 miles due South of the capitol of TX and even closer (2.5) to the very hip SoCo area (Continental Club, Jo's Coffee, Guero's Taco Bar, El Mercado and lots more). I have 3 cats, 11 chickens, 2 little donkeys and sweet 4 mini goats here at my little and funky 'farmette' right on Williamson Creek (sometimes flowing and not really swimmable) and next to a huge wooded greenbelt with a quiet and unused nature trail. This is not a KOA or a state park. This is a home hostel/campground. It's kind of rustic and we like it that way. You may see a roach, ant or cricket and you may also see a deer, fox or coyote. We are busy and not always able to visit for long. Lots of remodeling and flood related cleanup chaos here but also lots of pretty and secluded nature. Short walk to bus stop and historic Sagebrush HonkyTonk and Austin Bergstrom Airport is 9 easy highway miles away. Rustic outdoor shower/kitchen/privy. BYOTent. No wild or excessive partying here please and please remember: no smoking. WE NOW HAVE A COVERED PING-PONG PLAYING AREA ! Other details to note: Street parking. Camping is a very short walk from parking lot. We have carts to tote your gear if needed. Sorry, this campground is not set up to be able to park next to your site. Feels like you're in an enchanted forest with fun lights and the sounds of fountains all around and lots of unique collectible items to look at. Very quiet and people on site were friendly.

The view of the river was beautiful, we could birdwatch from our campsite (barred owl, red shouldered hawk, king fisher, great egret, red-bellied woodpecker), the bathroom, dish washing, and shower facilities were extremely well stocked and clean, we were given free recently felled wood to burn, we loved getting cozy by the large fire pit - it had foot rests and a surface for resting our stuff! Bridget was the most attentive and sweet host; she checked on us before we arrived, she immediately answered my questions about a fire ban, she visited after we got settled, she brought us a can opener when we forgot one, she checked on us when she was worried our neighbors might be too noisy (they weren’t). The only thing we didn’t love was how many ants were on the ground, but that 1. Comes with the territory of living in Texas and 2. Is a hard thing for any landowner to fix. Just make sure you wear socks and bug spray to prevent any bites! My friends and I agree that we found a new spot to add to our regular camping rotation, and we can’t wait to come back :-)

Weekend Trip to Colorado RiverBend Retreat #CRBR

We fully enjoyed staying at Bridgette’s place. We were a small group at site 3 with 2 tents, a truck tent and small travel trailer. We had plenty of space. There was another group at site 2. We could hardly hear each other (but did play some songs together). It was nice to have the bathroom close. It even had hot water. We look forward to staying there again.

Weekend Trip to The Best Dam Spot

Laura's property is absolutely beautiful and she really makes sure to take care of her campers. This is my second visit to this campsite and I will be returning. It is so peaceful with the sounds of the water flowing down stream it knocked me right out and I slept like a baby! The camp ground was extremely clean and if with only 4 campsites you were never too close together or felt like you didn't have your own space. We also had come right after a storm which of course brings all the critters out but everyone who works there made sure anything to bad was taken care of right away. For instance our campsite had lots of fire ants/ ants in general roaming around and within minutes of me letting them know, someone was down there laying down some ant keep away and the ants all dispersed within 20 minutes making it much more enjoyable. I can not stress enough how amazing staung here is if you have the opportunity.

Weekend Trip to The Best Dam Spot

Great camping experience with a beautiful river - you just can't go wrong with this place. Laura, the camp host, was phenomenal. She greeted us upon arrival and took the time to show us around the property. What really impressed me was when she called the morning of our trip to let us know about incoming bad weather and offered to let us reschedule with no problem. Very thoughtful. The site amenities exceeded our expectations. Having plug-in power was incredibly convenient, and the hot shower after a day of outdoor activities was a game-changer. Even the porta potty was well-maintained and clean. The real highlight was the river - it was absolutely beautiful! Laura provided paddleboards and kayaks, which we took full advantage of. Being able to hop on the water whenever we wanted made the trip special. We also had great success fishing and caught a bunch of fish throughout our stay. Overall, this was a fantastic camping experience. The combination of excellent amenities, a gorgeous natural setting, fun activities, and an incredibly welcoming host made for a memorable trip. I'd highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a well-equipped camping spot with plenty to do. We'll definitely be back!

A true hidden gem near Austin. Excellent well-kept site with excellent facilities and super fun activities on offer. The hosts were extremely accommodating and understanding when we needed to move our booking as my partner fell ill one night. Excellent views of the night sky.
