For bigger water and easy access to Lake Ray Roberts State Park, head over to the Johnson Branch of Lake Ray Roberts which is less than 15 minutes away.
We are located next door to 555 Vineyard and the Vineyard Tasting room. Also, check out downtown Valley View with local restaurants including Blue Bonnet Cafe, York N Ale, Hess Meat Market, and Firelight Vineyard just 7 minutes away. Edge of the Lake Vineyard is also 7 minutes away.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Salt Ranch. Other than the difficult arrival, the rest was a pleasant stay and Andrea was a nice hostess. Our 35 foot fifth wheel had trouble getting through the gate. It's best if you come from the north and swing VERY wide, a few feet onto the grass across the street. The driveway on the north corner is a bit wider. The street out front is very active, especially around rush hour, so you may have to be patient in timing the entry and exit. Also, when parking in the spot, it's a very tight turn. I jackknifed the rig into my rear truck window and shattered it. So, go very slowly and keep checking that the jackknife doesn't go too far. We enjoyed seeing the animals, including goats, horses, donkeys and chickens. We especially liked the baby goats (kids) because of their excited leaping and other antics. Thanks, Steve, for the goat milk sample pack. It tasted just like whole cow milk to us and was delicious!

We loved the hidden nature of our stay. Driving through the hills and down long winding roads was a perfect welcome into the area. Sam and Sarah were very attentive and passionate about their land and the sites. We enjoyed the little red barn and were able to purchase a few dozen fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm. We had a wonderful stay at Friends in RV Spaces, definitelyexcellent value for money. Even though we were travelling in a campervan without hookups, the site had everything we needed. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and the WiFi near the little red building was fast and reliable. After spending time in the big cities of Texas, it was such a refreshing change to relax in a peaceful, green space with dark night skies and true country quiet.
Sam greeted us on arrival and was very welcoming. He showed us around the farm and was interesting to chat with. If you’re looking for a safe, quiet, and friendly place to stay near Fort Worth, we’d highly recommend it.

I finally got Megan at their property management office and she was very nice and helpful, but I never received lot information or a gate code before we arrived. She wasn’t even aware we had booked through HipCamp until I called them.

We loved staying at this spot. Seeing the goats, donkeys, and chickens was a highlight of the trip for my kids. The family was very helpful and kind. It is a beautiful property with the rv spot next to a second garage. Easy access to the city. We would love to stay there again if we passed through. I definitely had to double check the camper before leaving to make sure my kiddo didn’t try to smuggle a goat or two home because they were so cute. Thanks so much it was a trip to remember.
