The main difference is in the tents’ locations on our property and corresponding view. - The Grand Aztec: Provides the most open view of the lake and hill country. Located central on the property near the main fire pit and common areas. - The Grand Arrow: Also has a lake view, but with more trees, less open than the Grand Aztec. Located closer to the entrance of our property, farther from the common areas. Adirondack chairs and a hammock area is just out back (lakeside). - The Grand Tesoro: Private hill country view across the properties ravine. Located closest to the bathhouse, very central on our property. Also near the common areas. A private chiminea fire area under a grove of trees is nearby. The price for Grand tents is based on double or triple occupancy. A fourth guest is welcome for an additional fee ($50/nt), which you’ll see at booking. The Mini Aztec: Located between the Grand Aztec and Grand Arrow tents, with a private view of the lake and hills, and a private chiminea area. For younger children (age 8+) who want to sleep in the mini tent, we recommend the Grand Arrow for the parents because the mini is within view of the Grand Arrow porch. Three tents are large (Grand), and one is small (Mini). The 3 Grand tents are nearly identical, with slightly varying decor. The main difference is in the tents’ locations on our property and corresponding view. - The Grand Aztec: Provides the most open view of the lake and hill country. Located central on the property near the main fire pit and common areas. - The Grand Arrow: Also has a lake view, but with more trees, less open than the Grand Aztec. Located closer to the entrance of our property, farther from the common areas. Adirondack chairs and a hammock area is just out back (lakeside). - The Grand Tesoro: Private hill country view across the properties ravine. Located closest to the bathhouse, very central on our property. Also near the common areas. A private chiminea fire area under a grove of trees is nearby. The price for Grand tents is based on double or triple occupancy. A fourth guest is welcome for an additional fee ($50/nt), which you’ll see at booking. The Mini Aztec: Located between the Grand Aztec and Grand Arrow tents, with a private view of the lake and hills, and a private chiminea area. For younger children (age 8+) who want to sleep in the mini tent, we recommend the Grand Arrow for the parents because the mini is within view of the Grand Arrow porch. The Grand Tents have a maximum occupancy of 3 guests. We may allow for a fourth guest upon request for an additional fee ($50/nt). Such a lovely place! We have stayed in many rental units over the years, but this was our first yurt (we are usually tent campers) and it was Wonderful. Clean and well kept with every detail considered. Bathrooms are easily accessible and also clean and welcoming. Sauna is the Best! (and they even provide bathrobes)! Despite the quick Texas-style weather change (from 75 to 40 overnight), we were warm and cozy inside. Our weenie dog even felt like she was home.

Escape to true tranquility on our 5 secluded acres, nestled within a 1700-acre wildlife sanctuary. With just 2 private accommodations—The Hideout & The Satao—each tucked 450 ft apart, you'll enjoy peace, privacy, & nature's beauty all to yourself.

We had a great time staying at Daniel's glamping site, about 15 miles from the entry to Colorado bend State park. The campsite and tent were clean and tidy and secluded in a cedar grove, with solar lights and a fire pit (wood included) and grill for cooking. There was a couple hundred yards walk to a full bathroom with a shower and wifi. An extra tent with cots and bedding was also available for the kids, and was setup prior to arrival. Overall a wonderful time, perfect for a short weekend at the park, and would absolutely stay again. Thanks Danny!

I had a great time "glamping". The yurt was so nice. Mandy was SO accommodating and flexible. She had no problem upgrading us to another tent because the AC was on the fritz temporarily. What a cool place.

We had a great time! We are camping newbies and wanted to try it out without committing to buying a lot of gear if our kids weren't going to be okay with it. The site had everything we needed, even air conditioning and outlets - which was a nice bonus as it was still pretty warm during the days. My kids had a blast exploring the trails on the property and visiting the cows and donkey. We brought our golden retriever and he thoroughly enjoyed his time. We really appreciated the beds and set up, we were able to squeeze a pack and play and dog bed into the main tent with us (in addition to the provided bed and twin cot for our oldest). Daniel was quick to help us out when we needed it and made sure we had enough fire wood to last the weekend. The stars at night were well worth the trip, it was one of the things we were really looking forward to.

Lost horizon was a great experience for us. I’m in my 40’s and we enjoy camping but I am not into communal living or multiple units close together. This offered the seclusion we wanted and a fair price. You will need a 4x4 vehicle or at least a full size suv to get down the last stretch of road to the sites. Everything else is just as noted on the site and within the website for the property. Don’t hesitate to book!

Cedar Glen Glampsite was so neat. There is an air conditioning and outlets, as well as a walk right outside to a camp eco friendly private luxury potty! The hundred acres are amazing and we got to meet Mo, the donkey, as well as the miniature cows. They reminded me of our chow chow puppy! Our dogs enjoyed their stay as well. Plenty of room! The tent itself is very very spacious with the most comfortable bed. It is climate controlled and just as nice as a hotel room, but you can hear the owls at night...Danny is a very kind host. We unfortunately didn’t get to see the stars due to the weather, but we will try to be back.
