Baker's Cabin is a rare property - a remote cabin on 6 acres, shared with no one but the night sky. Baker's Cabin is in the country. Located about 25 minutes from Centerville, it makes for an easy weekend getaway from the Houston or Dallas areas. As you drive from interstate, to highway, to county road to dirt road and over a single lane wooden bridge, you feel yourself start to unwind and relax. This cabin is located on a private dirt road (too much rain can make things muddy). You'll be given gate access for entrance. As you drive down the dirt road, you'll find our light blue cabin on stilts. Because the cabin is raised, you have a great entertainment space sheltered from the weather. You can hang out, swing and play games all downstairs. We also have a firepit for cooler evenings. PLEASE NOTE: WE NO LONGER ACCEPT PETS FOR THIS PROPERTY. THE PROPERTY IS TOO SMALL TO SUPPORT PETS. My daughter and I rented The Happy Place for a few nights and it couldn't have been more perfect. Everything was set up so nicely in the glamping tent and the location was private, wooded and very quiet. My husband and I made reservations for two nights. It was my dog‘s first experience to go overnight with us. We enjoyed the Cabin so much we stayed a third night. We have been wanting to go to the Lone star Trail for years. My husband has wonderful memories of taking Boy Scouts on the trail many years ago. I had never gone before. The campsite is located between TH3 and TH4 so it was a perfect location. The Cozy cabin is designed with attention to detail and love by TERRY, Camp host and owner. The tent campsites are nicely arranged close to one of the two stocked ponds. There is a great community shelter with a shower stall and sink, picnic table and barbecue facilities. Terry is very nice and made sure we didn’t need anything. We couldn’t have asked for a greater 3 day stay and will be back. I hope you will also.

Great little spot for just a weekend! Host were very friendly and accommodating. There was 9 of us in the cabin, and 3 of them were teenage boys! You might want to bring an extra fan or 2 for the bunk bed room. Bring games to play for indoors and outdoors.

Cabin was perfect. Kids enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boats. As well as the swings. Cabin was clean and spacious. The scenery was so pretty!!! My family and I had a fantastic time!

We came in the offseason over Spring Break and it was the perfect camping getaway. We stayed in one of the prepared Tents (Happy Place). All the fun of camping without the hassle of setting up tents, sleeping equipment, or overheating in the tent. The camping area was a great size for a family. Showers were warm and clean (with some friendly frogs to keep you on your toes). Only amenity I would improve is the toilets (standard port-a-potties, for the same price you can stay at a 3-star hotel) The boys loved running around the wooded camp areas (we were all alone so they had complete freedom). Barely any bugs in March so we enjoyed sitting by the fire for hours

Great location, very nice host. We had a blast. You can walk in the forest and make campfires. The fireplace was very convenient and Terry also let us feed the fish in the pond. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Me and my family loved it. Real nice and quiet place, the fire pit, the tent, and had almost everything you need, such as a table, chairs, even an hammock. There is not much to wonder around but is cozy, so you shouldn’t need to. The only thing is that the restroom is not super close, so the only thing I would’ve brought was a portable potty for easy going.

This place was an absolute dream location not far from Houston. If you need a weekend away to disconnect from city life this is an absolute gem! So quiet and relaxing and the owners are very attentive to your every need! I would 100 percent recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet retreat to decompress and relax!

This place is well maintained and very lovely. Evenly spaced out from other campers. Tons of sticks to collect for a good fire, sorry if we cleared all of them out 🤣. The pirate ship is a good touch. Would highly recommend spending a few days here. We camped peacefully full of laughter and joy at the "zen den" only recommendation would be to put a strand of lights on the string for the front of the tent, at night it was hard to see it and would hate for anything to happen to a person or even the owners property. Other than that its a very warming and lovely place. Btw listen for the donkey and geese I had a good conversation with them. Thank you for an excellent stay and we are looking forward to doing it again one day!!

It was a night little getaway not too far. The place we clean and had mostly everything you’d need. The only thing was it looked like you could roam around a little more but it’s the road you drive up on and a little back so exploring with the dogs was a little limited but I would highly recommend this place
