My family and I loved camping at Lake Godstone. It was clean, well kept, just as advertised. The property is beautiful and great for stargazing. The cabins/ amenities were very well kept and comfortable. We felt safe and secluded out there. We will definitely be going back.

We had a great time as a group of two families staying at Lake Godstone- Top of the Dam camp spot. The kids LOVED fishing and catching baby frogs, us adults enjoyed the stargazing and hiking trails that are graveled and shaded which made trekking with littles easier. The Camp managers were very kind checking on us often helping with any items we needed- we absolutely loved how gracious and accommodating they were to our needs. (firewood, worms for fishing, even helped with an ant issue we were facing). The campsite was very rocky so if you book Top of the Dam make sure to bring a tarp for your tent protection and padding to sleep on. The only thing I would mention that we would have liked done better was the condition of the port-a-potty at our assigned campsite. To say the least it was not fit for human use. It was filled with maggots and when the wind caught it just right the stench swept over our camping site- so if you stay at the Top of the Dam be prepared to take a walk on the trails to reach the comfort station. we luckily packed a travel toilet for our littles, and it saved us for this trip. Also, a note, if you explore or book the treehouse location the stairs are very steep and narrow. we did not do our due diligence before letting our kiddos run up the stairs and on one's way down, she missed a narrow step and fell down the staircase. so please be careful if you choose that spot. Overall, we had a blast and will be back!

I wasn't sure what to expect but was really happy. We got to the waterpark/campground around 5pm on a friday so the place wasn't too packed and they didn't charge us to use the pool that day. The staff, esspecially Sherwood who has big plans for the poace, were all super friendly, helpful and told us to pretty much camp anywhere that you could park. We had the whole place to ourselves that night and my boys and friends got to run around playing tag in the dark which they loved. The next morning we were able to pick out the best spots on the lake for the day and had a blast. Just know that apparently during the off season they let you make a campfire but during the pool season they don't. We were there the first week of season and they made an exception so if campfires are important, you might want to double check with them before hand. Other than that, I'd absolutely recomend camping here.

We had a wonderful time getting back to nature! Fishing, hiking, kayaking, and swimming! We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the fresh air and all that God has to offer! The bathrooms were conveniently located and superbly clean! Even on a busy holiday weekend it didn't feel overcrowded! Definitely a must try for family campouts!

I was there the day before they officially opened and there was only a high school graduating class there. Got to spend the afternoon enjoying this beautiful, spring fed lake, complete with slides, fountains, diving boards (of all heights), and snack bar (they make an awesome cheeseburger!). Once they cleared out, I had the place to myself. Owners were very accommodating. Even though they don’t really offer space with power, they found me a plug to charge my Jackery. They also offered tips on what not to miss at the Stockyards. The camping area is grassy, level and very shady with tons of large pecan trees that were planted by original owners. The facility was very clean, hosts were friendly and it is truly a magical place to stay! It’s only about 15 minutes from the Stockyards, so very convenient if you’re planning to visit there. I was just passing through, but would definitely love to come back sometime! I am a single female, traveling alone and felt extremely safe. Don’t forget to hit the artisan well to fill up your water jugs on the way out!

The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have the most out of your time there. James has a great property. Its quiet but also close enough to town should you need the store or a place to eat.

Super cool and unique. It is a well maintained, old school water park built on a small lake. Water park was closed for the off season but it was still an awesome to camp 15 minutes from Fortworth Stockyards. Helpful & generous hosts.

This place is so cool. Hidden gem. It is a well maintained old school water park built on a lake. I visiting during the off season when the park was closed and lake drained. But it was still such a unique place super close to Fort Worth Stockyards. My stay was an excellent experience with helpful and respectful hosts. I will definitely be back.

I’ve been coming to burgers lake since I was a kid so when I saw I could camp here, I had to try it. The lake looks crazy when it’s drained, kinda sad I couldn’t do a cold plunge but it was super cool to have the whole park to ourselves. I totally recommend it to anyone passing through Fort Worth.

It was a very fun experience staying at top of the dam campsite. We will be back and possibly stay at some of the other locations. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We forgot our pump to our air mattresses and they were able to provide a air compressor which helped out tremendously. Thank you so much! We will be back!
