Bob Hansler is a great host. His ranch and the camp sites are awesome. Very private and well maintained. I have been a subscriber to his YT channel for years and was very excited to finally meet him. He is the ultimate outdoor survivor and woodsman. He also hosts survival courses, and I will be going back for more tent and hammock camping. Also, for those that know Bob through YT, Huck his loyal pup is doing well and always appreciates a good snack. Thanks Bob. 10 out of 5 Stars!!

Cool camping spot that you wouldn’t expect in a place like Goliad. We stayed in the Skulltree camp and the shade the two oak trees produce is perfect on warmer days. It stays ten to fifteen degrees cooler in the shade. Plenty of space to set up camp, there were quite a few fire ant mounds within the campsite so be careful for that. Hosts were fantastic, great communication prior to showing up, and they leave you be, wish we really loved and appreciate! Would highly recommend!!

First, Marisa was a phenomenal host! She reached out ahead of time, confirmed our arrival time, met us at the gate, and walked us to our location. Top notch hospitality!! The site was open, plenty of firewood on site, and plenty of trees for hammocks. I couldn’t recommend this site more.

We loved staying on Marisa’s property. She was a wonderful host, greeting us upon arrival to make sure we found our site, and to walk us through showing us outlets and amenities. Her property is nestled in a small neighborhood, once on site you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. It’s a beautiful property with plenty of space, lots of trees, fireboxes, electricity, and a composting toilet. Her newly built bathrooms are very clean. This was my first experience with a compost toilet. The ladies room is setup comfortably, and is well lit. She also gave us free firewood to burn. Her sites have a picnic table and swings. She also has two sites setup for electricity. Great experience! Wonderful Host!

Took my 3 boys and little brother primitive camping for the first time and bobs property was perfect place. We enjoyed the trails and tried our hand at fishing. And bob will sell you a good pile of firewood for 5 dollars which is totally worth it. 10 out of 10 recommend, bob was a great host. We will definitely be making our way back!!

We had the best time here. It was my son and I and Alexis was very welcoming and we felt at home. She showed us around and we met all the critters. It was amazing being surrounded by cats, chickens, pigs, dogs, cows you name it! Directions were clear and easy and it was not too far from the town. My son loved the pigs and the bunnies. We'd love to come back when there are piglets or maybe kittens.

The Garden House

Close to the town of Gonzales, there is plenty of history to see in this neat little town. Gonzales, Tx is where the first shot during the Mexican war was fire that today has branded there own flag of a cannon with the saying "Come and Take It". The property has grasslands on a slight hill just enough to give an amazing view of the surrounding landscape. We are currently building our property up living off of the grid in our 5th wheel. We will be building a 5 acre fruit and vegetable farm with plenty of activities to do. If you like bees, or would like to learn a little about them, we have our own hives here where we are currently raising about 40,000 of them. Questions about growing, we can see if we can answer them. The property is easy access right off the hwy and only a few miles to town where activities range from hiking, swimming, golfing, history exploring, kayaking and many more activities. We are within a couple hours to the coast, Austin, Texas, San Antonio, and a little farther to Houston.Learn more about this land:Open land on 5 acres. Parking is on grass with a fire pit, washers for entertainment, and a larger pit. Close proximity to the famous town of Gonzales, Texas with plenty to do including fishing, kayaking, golfing, hiking, museums and so much more. We are currently in the process of building a fruit and vegtable farm so additions will be made as time goes on.
